Amanda, music is to be enjoyed by anyone, anyway they want. Metal might be one of the toughest genres to pick up rhythm sometimes. I forget if you've listened to Tool yet. They are known for really strange time signatures in their songs. Try reacting to Memphis May Fire from their 2022 release.
