    Hi!!! I'm still a freshman in high school, but I know 100% i want to be a pediatrician. This video was so helpful, but in this pandemic its so to find volunteering and shadowing opportunities, especially because those activities are also more for juniors and seniors. Any tips to get ahead while I'm still in my first year of high school?

    I think I want to to go into the medical field but i’m not to sure of it either. I don’t have anyone in my family that’s a doctor or anything in medicine and i’ve never really been exposed to medicine. Can you explain what shadowing a doctor is ?Also, to volunteer at a hospital do you have to know a lot about medicine ? I’m really nervous thinking about going into medicine because it’s a field that i don’t know a lot about but I would like to see if that’s really something I would like to go into. btw thank you for this video !

      Shadowing a doctor is basically when yoi follow them around and see what they do. You don't need medical knowledge to volunteer at a hospital; you'll typically be pushing carts and stuff around

    I’m a sophomore in high school and plan on taking AP Biology and AP Chemistry as well as AP Calc AB and BC throughout my junior year and senior year. I want to go into premed when I’m older and wanted to know what other AP’s I could take that would help me on my journey:)

    • @mujtabaalam5907
      @mujtabaalam5907 2 года назад

      Since a lot of medical schools don't accept APs as prerequisites, you should look into other APs that will allow you to skio gen eds, such as APUSH

    • @mujtabaalam5907
      @mujtabaalam5907 2 года назад

      Why don't you take AP calc BC in your junoor year? BC doesn't come after AB, it just goes faster. You should consider taking premed AP credits that will still give you college credit like APUSH

    • @sharvanirao7398
      @sharvanirao7398 Год назад

      AP Biology is a good one, and its quite doable. You don't need to take both AP Calc AB and BC. Bc combines calc 1 and calc 2 (calc 1 = ap calc ab) so you don't need to take both, just one.

    hey! I am currently almost done with my sophomore year. Although i am taking the highest levels of each subject that my school offers, and also taking 2 sciences, i have not yet done anything medicine specific. I have taken ap bio and a couple ap historys and will be taken ap chem, ap physics, and ap calc in the coming years. I am really starting to stress because I really have not done anything medicine specific and i’m almost done with my second year of highschool. I am going to a medical EMT summer program this summer but besides that I really don’t know what to do. Do u have any advice on what clubs or extracurriculars or really anything that would help make me look better to colleges on my way to be coming a doctor?

    Hi question, would it be bad on my transcript if I didn’t take AP Calculus AB junior year but took Honors Calculus. I did this cause I’m taking two college classes this fall, studying for SAT, doing AP Bio and Intro to physics and Chem, and interning at Northwest hospital during the school year (I’m in a health science magnet program in my school😊). I would like to hear your input :)?

    Congrats and great video.
    I live in Montclair California, and I currently I working on my associates degree in Public Health at Mt. San Antonio.
    I will eventually attempt to transfer, my goal is med-school.
    Since you went to Irvine, do you know anything about their pre-med program?
    I know Irvine has a program and Cal Baptist University does too.

      there are different "AP" classes in India. As an Indian, I can say that taking these classes helped a lot. Although they are not called AP classes. I remember the classes being called IB classes.
