Thank you for the videos. But since I've updated I get nothing to work except the water temp. No depth nothing. I went into my sonar settings and set my transducer to the HST-WBL (totalscan) . But is still reads in lower left corner as 200/433hz. Any suggestions?
Finally!!! To me this update makes the HDS more of a better buy for anyone looking to get a high end Lowrance finder. The current price drops on the HDS line vs the Carbon and the fact that you get 90% of what the Carbon does is a no-brainer.
Yep! So now I'm looking to grab a 9" for my Hobie PA. Keep the current 7" for a second kayak I plan to buy. #Winning! ....Looking forward to the rest of the vids in this series too.
I was watching your demonstration after the software upgrade and you were trying to show the difference between the two version and talking about surface clarity but on the newer version, you were pressing and changing the Noise Rejection. You did not change the Surface Clarity button on the newer software button. Thx
+David Jennings Changing the Surface Clarity in the demo does nothing. Play with it out on the water and you'll see the difference. You can actually use the surface clarity like it was intended now after this update and still mark fish.
Hey Lawren, thanks for the response and yeah, I have had my Gen 3, 9" for 2 years now and loving every minute of it when I am able to get out and use it.... Seems this year for Ocean Fishing hasn't been the greatest either due to weather, i.e. Storms or my work schedule... UGH... :o) Thx again.
Greetings, I'm interested in buying hds7 gen3 for big game fishing-tuna. Is the total scan sonar good choise for that. max depth for fishing 120 metters
+tome tošić Yes it will work. You might be better suited to get the TotalScan to plug into the 9 pin port for side and down scan and then use a Airmar P66BL or other 50/200 transducer which will be better suited for deeper saltwater.
+tome tošić The P66BL is a great transducer in the Great Lakes market for 200-400'. So in that range of salt water should be decent. The might be a better suited one though that I'm not familiar with. I'd look into the TM 260 as well.
You mean the menu bar on the right? You can just swipe it to the right. Or go into Settings , Advanced, User Interface, and you can set it to auto hide there.
Lawren Wetzel I appreciate the help, but I have that set up. It's the control Bar on the left side that comes with the new software update. But again I appreciate the reply.
+Moto_ bro_24 This is touch screen. Easier menu system to use. More options for networking. If you get the Mega SI Helix10 you get CHIRP imaging sonar so that is a big plus for it.
What settings do I need to change to get total scan to work on my hds gen 3

Check out my other video for troubleshooting that problem. I'll link it below

any new updates on the ti models that do this

+ChiCityYaker Exactly! No reason to get a Carbon now unless you fish offshore and like the dual CHIRP ability.

Lawren Wetzel thank you for answer. So I can connect two tranduscer?! if I chose only 1 than its better airmar p66bl for big game?!

What's the difference between this and the helix 10 I can't decide which one to get
