They constantly need their hand held to the point where the amount of work they get done is less than the amount of work that could have been done by all of the people who took time out of their day to help the person. I have worked with so many of these types in my career. California labor laws makes it difficult to fire such people, I guess.
@@googleislame they can be fired alright, and they regularly do. But the thing is it doesn't reflect well on the company's retention stats, so they keep them for as long as possible, hoping they eventually grow up. Some do, many don't.
Gabe is the representation of all insensitive leeches at work who can't care about other colleagues. Trust me, the comment of not wanting to dig the inbox is a classic and the most common one. How hard is it to dig an inbox? Just type in the search box for 10 seconds? But, no. These leeches would rather spend 5 minutes at your place to bug you rather than 10 seconds for digging their inbox and doing their own work.
Those were exactly my thoughts, and I'm not even in the corporate world yet XD
This is what happens when you grow up in too privileged environments, you don't learn workarounds and need everything spoon-fed to you.
Those type of people in real life are an excellent opportunity to practice saying ‘no’ and respecting your own boundaries. Their whole MO is just knowing most people won’t say no.
@@squidssential except saying no is their trap, because you refusing to send the email is now acting as bottleneck to their workflow when all they asked for was an email. This is then raised to HR, and you are then written up for creating a hostile workplace environment.

@@oVoidhawko i didn't know HR was a real thing, i always thought it's a joke position for movies. well whoever the HR in my company they're thick, i told my boss he has the perfect amount of carbon to make a humongous steel casting and he should jump in one... i got a raise a month later.
They did a phenomenal job with the casting for this guy. So hate-able. Love it

I loved everything about that show...except for the wearable chair. Every time it'd come on screen, it was like a thousand volts of electricity down my spine.
This is too perfect, slack open on one monitor, terminals/editors on the next...whoever they consulted to do the scene setups for this show definitely knows what’s up

Yeah this show does do a lot of research into the world of coding to make everything as realistic as possible. It's one of the reasons why I LOVE it so much, the production value and the huge amount of effort put into small things that matter.
Someone owes Michael Scott some royalties for his chair pants idea.
The sound effect when Gabe first sits down on the chair really sells it. It's not slick or awesome, it's basically a rancid fart sound.
Gilfoyle is no longer afraid of the robot apocalypse,he has accept it and try to do his part so as to be looked upon favorably by the overlords

One of the people who works with me wanted me to post my sales total from Monday to Thursday for him. But I posted the individual numbers on each day. He can just add it up. So I didn't bother to respond to him. Fuck people who make you do unnecessary extra work for no reason.

@@greenman6242 remember when gilfoyle decided to try to help the AI sofia as much as possible, because he thought that the AI were taking over, so he would survive by helping them? that's like showing that gilfoyle hates the technology, but he wants to survive, so he will grovel. so, he is like ron swanson, just goes in a different direction.
@@joshuafan4419 sometimes gilfoyle is pretty straightforward sort of like Ron like when jian yang gets his smart refrigerator. However, Gilfoyle was fine with collecting user data. Ron would never agree with that because of how important privacy is to him. He shot down that gryzzl drone that one episode. And remember that one episode when Ron tried to completely get off the grid? Their personalities are kind of similar I guess but some of their beliefs are vastly different.
