What about when he does don't drink the water oh man I as a well known studio musician never ever had goosebumps all over my body I was on the road doing live opening act for my hometown friends tesla a n d. I stayed up watching first time tim I was blown away and I never saw them playing together it was radio city music hall I watched it all night man hooked unreal so amazing that is the best show I've seen man in my opinion
I doubt many people appreciate how difficult it is to do what Tim Rynolds does in this song. His arrangement is magical and his playing is spot on. And that harmonic lick he pulls off at 3:02 make me nearly tear up, such a tasty and badass little lick that most people overlook.
I was late to appreciate Dave, like late 90s. I listened to it endlessly and still, over 20 years later, it just does NOT get old. I always think "this is my favorite!" Then I hear another one...there are no favorites here, it's impossible. But right now, this is my favorite :)
PURE MAGIC! How can anyone not just love this music. Gotta love Dave's quirky personality. He's amazingly good at letting down all the pretense and just being himself. A lot of musicians could learn the value of being human on stage from Dave and what it adds to the music. Just awesome.
This is exactly how it feels to get in a car accident. I was in an almost-fatal one and this describes it. There was a lightness and airy spinning about it that this song represents well, along with a resigned sadness that it is the end, which I think the song captures.
I love every second of this video. It's so clear that the audience does too. They laugh at his rambling and when they start playing it's like silent awe. It's absolute perfection.
Tim Reynolds puts up a masterclass in how to elevate a piece of music to another level by adding a brilliant layer of guitar magic on top of it. Stunning guitarwork.
Well that is simple This man His Music got me through the worst time in my life.. I just LOVE him.. Thank you Dave! He cracks me up when he talks in his concerts and in this video.. Ya gotta love Dave...
If I were to give it a thumbs down it would just be because I was so pissed that even if I practiced for the next ten years I could never get close to this remarkable skill.
Dave is a KOOK! I wouldn't want him to be any other way!!! I LOVE THIS SONG! DAVE IS THE NUMBER ONE PEFPRMING ARTIST OF ALL TIME in my book. Tim accents this song perfectly. Love the Harmonics!
Why judge a genuis in his element? I doubt Dave is high, Tim I'm sure is, but who cares? I could care less as I've seen Dave 37 times and I've personally been him HIGH and SOBER and it's amazing every time. I've heard some great Dave stories through the years and he keeps me going with his amazing lyrics and outlook on life through song and I'll pay for that every time I buy a ticket or cd. Enjoy your free look at the genuis of Dave & Time doing what all of us only wish we could. Thanks Dave!
Great explanation at the beginning, haha. Dave's awesome, he's so funny, and an incredible performance. Definitely one of my favorite concerts he's ever performed.
I love how he has a 2 and half min hammered ramble and just transitions into playing flawless music. I love Dave
Haha "Hammered". Love it
That was not a "ramble".
The man is of a different breed, both intellectually and socially. You mistake it for high, I appreciate it as genius.
"takkkkkkke me backkkkkkkkk
to just before i was spinning."
ah i love when he leans back and screams that.
chills.

A beautiful sunny day. A car full of best friends. The volume maxed. The smoke rollin and this song... I’ll never forget!!
I love this whole album but this song/performance is an absolute masterclass.
the dopamine drip comes when the song changes to the "oh my god" part... which I can never get enough of.
Rod McDonough the only song that gives me goosebumps
there's something about Dave's voice that is so painfull, so beautiful. And Tim Reynolds kinda fits it perfectly

Tim is fucking MAGIC
That moment is tremendous
I saw Tim live Solo without Dave Mathews... Believe me, He is appreciated.
I agree. Very underrated I'm general. For tim it's probably nothing.

Right on @ Theresa Charleston
Absolutely! For sure.
My girlfriend said "I think you're in love with Dave." "Damn right" I replied.

shouldve replied: yes, indeed!
Gotta love those harmonics, thanks Timmy!!
Some days this is why my life is worth living. So damn lucky we are to have this man creating such amazing sound.
This version hit me hard. I have three daughters and started to get into a wreck and you can only pray that you can stay in their lives.
Yes, Indeed.
+Anthony Romeo Okay.
Hands down. Most beautiful EVER. Sooo in love with every single song even seven years later
I love every second of this video. It's so clear that the audience does too. They laugh at his rambling and when they start playing it's like silent awe. It's absolute perfection.
Still playing in 2022 ♥️
I always come back to this song as one of my favorite songs I’ve ever heard. It just takes you to the moon

goosebumps when he sings "oh my god"
Love all things Dave - even his weird stories.
I used this song to test earphone or audio system. The small details are astonishing. Some can only be heard in a very good earphone.
Never gets old, this is at least the 1,000th time I’ve heard this song and I love it as much as the first.
Its hard to believe that there is any kind of evil in the world whenever Dave or Tim have a guitar in their hands. Amazing, both of them.
You and me both. That's what his music is best for. It lifts and revitalizes the spirits =)
i love listening to him talk and thinking "wow he is insane.." and then he starts singing and i fall in love again in seconds
Both are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw this show, and i'll always remember it as AMAZING!!!!!! I can't describe it any other way.
It's amazing what a minute can do
Absolutely love this man and his music!!!
Dave reminds me to embrace my weirdness. (I sometimes forget.)
This entire show was fnatastic, but So Damn Lucky is the best,

This concert is a gift from the Universe.
Well that is simple This man His Music got me through the worst time in my life.. I just LOVE him.. Thank you Dave! He cracks me up when he talks in his concerts and in this video.. Ya gotta love Dave...
When I find myself in a bad state of mind, I turn on Dave, and everything goes away
So Damn Lucky to have Dave Matthews music.
Tim does things not believed possible before he started doing them.
I felt my arm´s hair go up when he went: "round round round round round"
It cracks me up how the crowd reacts so much to the little things Tim does on his guitar.
Awesome great way to start the week
this is the first dave matthews song i ever heard, love the music
If I were to give it a thumbs down it would just be because I was so pissed that even if I practiced for the next ten years I could never get close to this remarkable skill.
"DAMN this chicken is good!" lmao.
This is my favorite dave monologue of all time. I cry every time.
Ok 👍 the universe just collided…… I lost it at the point of the end and they shook hands …… I grew just a little bit more , much love ❤️
Wow! thanks for this Steve- this could be my new favorite!!
Dave takes away all the bad moods I may have :)
