I've been listening to Jay's music for a few days and tried to think who he reminded me of and it is Gene Clark formerly of the early Byrds 60s lineup; Gene left to go solo and left us a legacy of great songs over the years but died young. Jay is doing such beautiful music too.
@jczother yes..possibly..i don´t know ..maybe you´re right..my knowledge about Fender is not so good,I´m sorry to say:) I have 3 old guitars..one from Italy who is called Elite..from 1960..very fine half-acoustic.. and two guitars from my own country Sweden..a Bjärton from 1984,and a beautyful red and white Hagström Kent from 1965..David Bowie had a guitar just like that once..!!
followed since the start of UT. followed since. yeah who cares . im going to say it again, ill defend it Bob Dylan of the past 30 years. hey TVZ fans ..Im with you.
@bollhane I have a Dylan's tour of England 65' , he stops in front of a music store and remarks how you couldn't get these wild guitars in the U.S. The 2 guitars are almost the same, I really believe that's a jazz master, not positive.
Jay is the man from st Louis and never wanted to be more then the man he is. Jay is a testament to folk and rock forever.

"It's a hard way to find out that trouble is real..."
OMG. This is one of my favorite songs, by one of my favorite singers. The quality is crystalline. Thank you!

Hearing this today make me a Mark Spencer fan for over thirty years! Damn, I'm old and damn, he keeps getting better!
Amazing! Been dreaming about Farrar doing Hickory WInd for years!
Brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.
God, this is amazing. Thank you for this.
That tele just broke my heart
It's just superb, and that solo has written PASSION and TALENT all over it
One of his greatest, written for Gram's Grandma...
Great music!
Nice work guys -- very nice indeed! I really liked that!
Nice.
@ejc1974 On the creston site there is information on those pickups; they like the guitar are custom.
Farrar also does a nice cover of the Byrds' "Tulsa County," from "The Ballad of Easy Rider" album.
I want to bend notes on the tele like that, !!!
70snut Todd - you, too, can be a b-bender!
@headlessindian- it's a Creston custom. He has a few -- a red one too.
Thdxbll3 here it is -- this is his own model. crestonguitars.com/guitars/mark_spencers_cr9
@ejc1974 I found the guitar brand. I went to mark spencer's website, on which he had a link: creston guitars
Jay does a great job on this one.......much like Gram

Jay Farrar IS GP Canon.
@bollhane Looks more like an old Jazz Master?
I can kind of hear Emmylou in the background.
what kind of pedal effect is using the electric guitar? he's not using slide...
Probably a b bender
Gram Parsons' song!
definately a tele type custom thing with a lipstick bridge and a humbucker neck
