It’s the same where I live. My friends and family are going out and socializing without a mask. Meanwhile, I am going stay home and wears a mask when I do leave the house. More things are opening up here and I am choosing to stay home. I know this paramedic is not over yet. To lower my risk level of catching it but my butt is choosing to stay home.

I concur and have done the same. Inconsiderate neighbors who talk in common areas of my building (especially right outside my door) without masks on give me constant anxiety. The public health burden should not fall only on the shoulders of people who choose to be careful, because we sacrifice time outside or the ability to see our loved ones in person while others freely show utter disregard for public health by going out everyday without masks. I wish I lived in a country where people have attitudes towards public health like those of South Korea's general public.

I wish that I lived in South Korea. Here in the divided states of
America, each governor makes his or her own rules and masks are encouraged but not required. Going to the stores is emotionally exhausting, trying to maintain social distancing guidelines (not laws) and avoid inconsiderate maskless people. I love Beemo footage; he is just curvy/voluptuous :)

I agree with the public tracking because in the US you have no idea who has it in what area and or if you got it until you have a reaction. My husband and I love wearing the masks because we have empathy for others and don't want to give them something that would harm them.

I surely feel that tracking down each person is effective since people who were there around during that time can at least take precautions and get themselves tested. That way, the transmission can be prevented so well. I am really happy to see how Korean government has handled the situation.
I am an Indian and we have had lock-down which is a bit relaxed now but still there are so many cases coming up each day. There are no hospital beds available and even if some people have symptoms, they are not being tested immediately. This is happening mostly because of the HUGE population we have and measures which Korean government took wouldn't be successful here sadly.
I wish this situation gets wrapped up soon. And that can only happen if we all take proper precautions. It's something in our hands actually! To keep ourselves safe, we need to take a stand.
    Great video, btw!

UK instructions for lockdown and other updates are very confusing and people lose faith in the government's ability to handle the situation. Most shops are to open from next week but people still cannot officially visit their family and friends. Some can meet outside like in a park or garden. Now they are allowing meet ups with 1 other household only but honestly who is checking at this point?
UK government requested last week for all hospital staff to wear a mask and to provide masks for patients and visitors and check their temperature on arrival as well. The problem is, they didn't specify if it is for all staff all day, clinical and non-clinical, and they were late with giving this information so hospitals are struggling with supplying now required additional masks on top of the already high demand. I am lucky enough to be working from home at the moment but in few weeks' time I will have to go back to the hospital to work in the office. My managers still do not know if we will have to wear masks in the office, take phonecalls etc.

The state of Illinois in the US is implementing a really strict lockdown and wearing a mask policy. It is really working, and even though we are one of the states with more cases now we are one of the best states dealing with the pandemic. As you may guys know, the US is huge inland and in population, and different states are dealing with the pandemic differently. The states that decided to reopen earlier than us in Chicago are facing the consequences. We are not used to this type of situation, and there are still people not following the rules, but we are doing one of the best in the nation!

Firstly, Thanks for sharing your simple but very interesting lives with us. It's often the little things in life that give us the greatest joy and contentment, like eating a home cooked meal that can transport you in a second to a place that has cherished memories and in your case, home - Canada.
I live in a beautiful town in the countryside called Northsmpton or as we fondly like to call it - the Shires (as in hobbit town) with lots of Greenery, lush cottages, racing tracks (Silverstone), lakes, canals, rivers, forests, hills, reservoirs and all within a 20 min drive from my home. Infact I have the Racecourse at the end of my road. I live in a 3bed terraced upstsirs/downstairs house and am thankful for the space which I understand is at a premium where you live in Seoul and the fact that I'm able to go for very long walks and hikes to all of these beautiful places - my escape from Covid makes me feel extremely lucky.
Whilst initially we had strict lockdown rules which were later lifted and replaced by social distancing rules, we've found that the key reasons for the spread of the virus has mainly been the reopening of schools, universities, pubs, bars and restaurants. Sadly not all of these establishments adhere to the strict guidelines and the fines for not doing so are not nearly as harsh as it ought to be. For now it seems like some major cities "high risk zones" are on level 3 - complete lockdown, whilst others like my town are on Level2.. social distancing, everything closes at 10pm, no more than 6 people gathering, We are also required to wear masks whilst in closed indoor areas and some shopping malls also have hand sanitizers but will also only allow a max no of shoppers at any given time... closely monitored. Work places too for most part encourage working from home and at my place only 25% of employees are allowed to be in the office snd we have a strict booking system. That said, for the most part work encourage only coming in if business critical and it had to be approved. I do however feel that the local restrictions are NOT working.
Track and Trace: We also have an app which logs your movements Vs infected areas and will send you updates/ warnings/precautionary info should you have been in close proximity of an infected person but not everyone uses it. Restaurants and bars have a mandatory process and are required to log contact details of all of their patrons for this very reason, incase you need to be notified of an infected patron whilst you were there.
It would serve the country best if we were to atleast have a one off national circuit breaker/lockdown. It would definitely serve to slow down the infection rate and the spread of the virus. But the government and indeed the general public fear for the economy and their livelihoods and that is the BIG ""hold back" we are currently faced with.
Stay safe, stay happy and keep well and yes, it's the little steps taken by each of us that will make that little bit of difference. So good on you for doing your part and hopefully one day... this will all be a distant memory we read about in our history books. 🙏🤗

Hi Kyuho and Sarah! I’ve been watching your videos for few years now. You guys are so lucky living in S. Korea where the people and the government have high awareness and effective in responding the situation with such high technology as well. But in Indonesia, where I live, goodness me, I don’t even know where to start. At first everyone got scared and the government was pretty slow in dealing with it, well due to the inexperience i may say, so everyone voluntarily stay at home unless to buy groceries and all, also government made this list of restrictions. We can’t afford to have lockdown. But now, since the economy is in danger and people need to make living, so the restrictions are being loosen up, and we got the point where we could not care less about those restrictions, we need to “live”. But same like any other countries, we are now accustomed in wearing masks in public places, carrying hand sanitisers around etc. Unlike in S Korea where they loosen up the social distancing because of the case has gone down, in Indonesia is because people cannot live off of their savings anymore. And what was scarier is that most Indonesians are not that worried anymore about the spread of the virus. They have become ‘reckless’ in some ways. Lord help my country.

I wish people in the Netherlands (or at least South of NL where I live) would take the virus seriously and be that respectful towards one another.
Since the weather has become nicer and the lockdown rules have become less severe, people have been going outside more and more for unnecessary outings. They just go shopping or go out for drinks. Especially during the weekends the streets are crowded as hell, people don’t follow the rules set by stores/cafes and most definitely don’t keep the required amount of distance. It’s so frustrating to see.
Only time you see people wear makes is in public transport. And you basically only see the 3rd type of masks and cotton/fabric masks.

Here in my country, they allow certain people to enter like medium size supermarkets or public places depending on their last digit of their IC and the date of the day (odd or even). We also have the tracking system with QR code tracking but I heard they’re gonna start giving out those Fitbit kind trackers to wear instead. Scary.

Things here in Toronto are getting better. There is a tracking system now (better late than never) but it's definitely not as comprehensive as the one in Korea. Most stores are starting to open, but not malls and still no dining in at restaurants. Masks are recommended on public transportation, but not mandatory. Some grocery stores require you to wear a mask before entering. We'll all get through this!!! Stay safe!! Love from 🇨🇦

we are in the similiar situation as korea now in singapore, but that QR code thingy is a must. for work or for essential shopping to any shop/mall and subways too. Also have a tracking app (bluetooth based, as what my government says) as part of contract tracing besides the QR code. we had a period of time where social distancing is on the public transport (but its cleared now) stickers in every other seat and literally only the essential workers like me going to work. But i am amazed at how korea can let people out to have meals outside of their homes.. takeaway meals for us is a norm now :/ would prefer to just cook... LOL~ and also amazed at how there is a VERY detailed route for the infected person in the last few days , we just merely have the place (that public would go) , time and when.. days after that person is a confirmed case..

In Gibraltar (The country at the southern tip of Spain, not the US one, just to be clear) the government initially implemented lockdown with most business closed and people encouraged to work from home. The turned our sports facility into a hospital, which had 300 beds ready as they expected things to get worse, but the cases never went past 200 with most of them self-isolating at home so there was no need.
At the start of May hairdressers and nail salons opened, some business went back to work, but there was still stricter. Now we are at a stage where restaurants are open at 50% capacity or 30% depending, the gov reviews seating plans to make sure they adhere to the rules. Shops are open but amount of people monitored, hand sanitizer obligatory when entering, but masks are not always necessary, I had to wear it when I went to the hairdresser or for my appointment at the hospital but that is it.
Now we have a problem though as people love being out, so even if they know a restaurant closes at a specific time, they ignore it and stay there drinking and they cannot exactly kick them out. A lot of bars are called out on social media for not respecting social distancing at all so it is not perfect but I think it was managed well.
The latest update I got was 176 confirmed cases, only 5 active but only 2 are locals (People come in to work from Spain) and 73 self-isolating so the government notifies us daily of new cases which helps
I cannot think of anything else right now, soon more restrictions will lift these ending at 1st July in this moment

I am all for tracking and tracing! Public health is first instead of looking at it as a privacy issue. Here in NY we are opening up in phases. NY made mask mandatory to wear, but we still have some people who don’t wear it. A lot of other states haven’t made wearing masks mandatory and starting to have rising number of cases.

South Korea is doing it right! Here is the US, number of cases have been spiking due to lack of care or available information, transparency and testing and contact tracing. Less and less people are wearing masks these days and yet businesses are opening up.. some has good policy in place for protecting everyone, some are very loose and let people be ignorant and stupid. It’s very frustrating..

It is amazing to see the cutural differences about wearing a mask. I do it since it is just basic respect for the other people around me when I'm shopping or on different occasions at work. Not that much people are wearing them (20-30% ?).
I work for a school administration near Ottawa on the Québec side. Yes, schools reopened on May 11th at the exception of the Montréal's area. School was not mandatory but about 40 to 50% of the kids are attending school and the rest are homeschooling. We managed to find ways to respect the 2 m distanciation in class (maximum of 14 students in a room) and the school yard and to follow the Public health recommandations. No commun area such as gymnasium, library etc are used. No parents or outsiders are allowed in the school. At first, it was pretty unerving, but now we have our routine, made some adjusments and things are going smoothly. The teachers are amazing and doing a wonderfull job considering the circonstances. We are now preparing the next school year and we don't know yet what will happen in September.
Now, I have to go eat something after seing you eat those delicious meals... ;))
    Am I the only one?
    Stay safe !

And from next Wednesday quarantine will be over (still will be "special situation"), so will be some restrictions for events, clubs and so on and just to recommend to wear masks in stories and public transportation. I think i will keep on wearing masks, i am still paranoiac. After all mask season i am so happy that i didn't catch a cold or had a fever, cause here in cold season flue season is quite bad.

I think Korea is the best country in handling the virus. We can see from the gov policies in tracking down people who get infected. However, in my country, Indonesia, the government declared "New Normal", which is a bad decision for my country which still doesn't have an effective tracking system. If you guys see on the news, lately my country reported 1000+ new cases in a day. I think it's what the "New Normal" means. You guys so lucky living in Korea during this pandemic

In British Columbia, Canada (each province has its own health guidelines and restrictions) the only restriction we have is no gatherings over 50 people. The recommendation is not to be with more than 6 people while social distancing. Schools are voluntary too because of the risk. Fortunately our cases are the lowest they’ve been thus far.

I wish the U.S was taking the virus as seriously as y’alls country... From the beginning of Quarantine I have been wearing a mask constantly. After everything started opening up it’s like people forget that we still have the virus out there. I went to the mall yesterday and about 80% weren’t wearing a mask. Also to add I live in a city in South Carolina that doesn’t have a high case of the Corona Virus. In fact the cases here are extremely low. Because of this people are thinking that we’re totally fine and we don’t need to take precautions, but we still need too.

I’m from Oregon coast. Like others have said I wish it was taken more seriously here. I work for a hotel company and while we have more rules and all it’s not helping. Visitors who come are not friendly and demand too much during this time. Many have forgotten about the virus since we started to open back up. When we speak on why we are following all these rules, they get all defensive and give us the reasons why they are not following them. Many places have mask policies and people simply do not care for it. Many expect everything to be up and running like normal business hours and become upset when it’s close. I wish people didn’t make jokes about it because it someone else eyes it’s a serious matter. Our cases definitely went up a couple weeks after opening, which is no surprise. But if everything continues the way it is right now, we’ll be going into lock down soon.

In Estonia 🇪🇪, the goverment announced the emergency state on 12th of March and it lasted until 17th of May. So all schools, malls, nightclubs, gyms, museums, cinemas and places like that were closed.
    Restaurants did only takeaway.
Students had online classes via zoom. Schools were never actually 'opened' even after the emergency state was lifted, so kids haven't been to school since March. We had 2+2 rule (max 2 people and stay away from others 2m) All big events/concerts were cancelled.
Borders were closed, only Estonians or people who had the residence permit, could get into the country. Even now, only European countries can get in, no one from outside Europe.
Now they are slowly starting to allow bigger events again, mostly open-air events. All inside events can't be fully packed, only 50%, so you can distance yourself from others. Museums, cinemas, bars and clubs will be opened from 1st of July.
Our goverment didn't really believe in masks at first, they said that it will get you infected instead. But some time after they started saying that masks are necessary, so after that you could see a lot more people going around wearing masks.
Luckily the number of infected people never got too high here. And lately there's been less than 10 infected people in a day. Some days go by with 0 cases as well.
We had no tracking system here tho.. everyone had to be honest and go get tested themselves.

I live in Arizona(US) which is having a surge of cases, and is quickly becoming a new national hotspot for cases. Even so, an alarming amount of people remain carefree, you go out in public and can only see a handful of people wearing masks. The majority of the state reopened about three weeks ago, not that it was ever 100% closed. The governor has done a terrible job managing public safety, he has even been spotted out in a public bar, really showing how little he cares. I hope everyone can stay safe and remain vigilant for their loved ones, as I am trying to.

Comparing from the provincial restrictions your parents had to us here in Ontario could be more lax or that there wasn't as much of an outbreak there compared to here. It's more about the province's own restrictions on top of the nation wide restrictions. We are in phase 2 (reopening slowly) where malls now may open but limited open stores, limited people within stores and mall, food is only take out - on 11Jun. Same goes for places like salons, gyms, etc. It's not as bad as a dense populated city like Toronto but Ottawa still kinda of a ghost town until phase 2 started. I know my family and I have been more cautious since my mother is a front line medical worker, in long term care and I still work. My family does have medical problems such as diabetes, asthma, allergies (Anaphylaxis and non-anaphylaxis), IBS and lowered immune systems in general.
My mother was working on the outbreak unit at her place of employment - to day she has had 5-6 tests done and now mandatory by provincial requirements, needs to be tested every 2 weeks. Her place of employment was COVID-19 free after a month from the first outbreak but another staff member was a carrier and reinfected the facility, recently.
I wish for larger cities in Canada, that we took similar approaches early on like Korea did and same in terms of how Korea continues to be on top of it. I understand the size of one country to the other is a big difference but the "tracking" could have been a great way for those who needed to venture for necessities, a heads up about WHERE an positive COVID-19 person was rather than how it continues to be handles - usually delayed and generalized.
Glad to hear you two are keeping safe and enjoying the good weather there. In Ottawa we became real humid and hot (over 30°C with humidex) until Wednesday storm that brought tornadoes to southern Ontario and cooled us down.

UK here & imo it's way too lax here, we had a full on lockdown & are starting to relax it now but almost all enforcement of it is sort of left to the public's common sense. There is "advice" but no definite rules, the track & trace attempt is a literal joke, there are vague guidelines about social bubbles but in reality everyone is basically ignoring it all now & doing what they want with some caution perhaps. Basically I have zero faith in the government or their advice & am sticking to stricter rules personally.
