I don’t know if this episode counts as underrated but I really liked What-do-it-do. Not only did it drop some more interesting lore about Doof and how Linda practically gave him the idea to take over Danville, but like what you stated about Bullseye it allowed Linda to be a bit more involved with the plot. I thought it was also nice to see Candace and Linda spend some time together and work together even tho it was in a highly stressful situation. XD
Oh Y E S, I love that one, I actually considered putting it in my list at first I agree with everything you said, Linda literally stole the show in that episode. That was such a great occasion to make her and Candace work together and to show off her personality. I wish we got more episodes like it
I found it such a great Linda episode. Just to see Linda find herself on Candace’s level. It’s quite sad how people only remember this episode for the source of the ‘Heinz is Phineas’ Dad’ theory.
I'm not sure if it's underrated, but an episode I don't see any talk about, is "Hail Doofania!". It's one of the most unique episodes, almost completely swapping Phineas and Heinz's regular storylines. They do it in so many literal and metaphorical ways, they even named the episode after what Heinz is doing, rather than what Phineas and Ferb are up to. They gave gags like "whatcha doin?", "Aren't you a little *old*", and "There you are Perry" to Heinz's storyline. And lines like "Behold the ____inator", "Over the entire Tri-state area", and "*bless* you Perry the Platypus" to Phineas. It's Phineas' "inator" that leads to Doof's project being destroyed before Vanessa can bust Heinz, and Phineas's machine is destroyed by Perry (accidentally bumping into the self destruct button). Candace and Vanessa even get their outfits swapped due to a mix-up with their drycleaners. I love seeing Doof being put into the spotlight, without Perry trying to thwart him. He gets much better gags from his banter with Norm than with Perry. It's also very rare to see Candace struggling with something for a whole episode, that's not busting her brothers.
I don’t know if this episode is considered underrated, but Vanessassary Roughness is comedy gold, and it’s my favorite episode of the show because of that!
2:26 i think Tri-Stone Area does this because the joke is even if you can't understand what they're saying after watching enough episodes of the seeies you know EXACTLY what they're saying and the inflections in which they say it
I loved that you included Troy Story, it's one of my favourite episodes. As a Greek, I particularly appreciate the humor and the references of the episode as well as its plot
5:07 I actually disagree with this statement. I feel like all of the plot lines are equally as interesting and hilarious. The perry/Doof plot speaks to the slapstick and the relatability for the adults in the room, the Candace plot leans into the awkward humor that a lot of kids and teens can relate to, and the brothers’ storyline is one that I find really inspiring and unique.
I don’t know if it is underrated but my favourite episode is Hail doofainia, the twist of fates. The break up of the status quo. The breakdown of the repetitive structure. Character personality change. It is a masterpiece
5:07 fuuuuun fact! according to dan povenmire, phineas and ferb are NOT the main plot. obviously they’re the main characters, but doof and perry are actually the A plot while p&f’s antics are the background story
I really enjoyed the Temple of Juatchadoon, it's was the most different out of those alter episodes we got with Phineas and Ferb's personalities being different, Ohio Flynn being much less fun loving and more serious than his other counterparts made for a rather unique episode.
I think Tree to Get Ready from Season 1 is underrated. It's still one of the earliest episodes of the series, but the way that Phineas and Ferb build a treehouse not only for themselves but for Candace is wonderful. Then, the treehouse fight is exhilarating to watch, as it's Phineas and Ferb VS Candace and Stacy (with the latter two having played the similar robot fighting video game). Overall, I love the moments when Candace puts aside her usual busting antics and actually has fun with P&F, and it truly shows in this episode. As for Doofenshmirtz's plot, it may be stereotypical of him simply trying to control pigeons in order for them to take a dump on his brother Roger, but you cannot deny that "My Goody Two Shoes Brother" is a catchy song. Plus, Vanessa does (reluctantly) take part in the plan, but she delivers her usual sass and bails once Perry foils Doof's plot.
For me, I prefer 3rd season instead, since it contains more fanservice-y episodes of Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Such as Monster From The Id (#10 entry) and Lotsa Latkes when he wore skimpy Spartan General costume.
You’re so right about Bullseye making you want more Lawrence that episode is such a gem. So many of the more Lawrence centric episodes are just top tier, cause Ladies and Gentlemen Meet Max Modem is also so good
I honestly agreed with this list even though they're pretty much still a lot of great episodes out there I think this one's pretty neat. I agreed with the Temple of Juatchadoon not only for the stakes and actions but also because I've had some quite fave scenes from the episode, one of which being that scene of Isabella betraying Phineas and Ferb which is something that we wouldn't imagined to actually happening canonically and it's one of my favorite episodes.
Ikr? Isabella's double crossing was such a cool twist, it was nice to see her so determined And yeah, so many episodes don't get the attention they deserve unfortunately, it's up to pioneers like us to let people notice them x) Edit: oh yeah, and the thing I love the most about her betrayal is the tone she uses when she says "I forgot to give you this one" xD
I can't believe you put the temple episode first and didn't mention that in this case and this only, the roles change, it's not Doof who puts on a show with pretty background dancer girls, but Perry
I would have added the ep with the weather dome where Isabella and troop are attempting to get the badge desert survival while Candicw wants to find out what Jeremy loves most about her.
I feel like the show really did Monty dirty, by not even including him in the Act Your Age episode. After all he did to help save summer, he deserves to be with Vanessa - or to at least have a high-ranking position at O.W.C.A., like he wanted. Besides, let's face it. *Ferb is too young for her!*
This is a good list! I haven’t watched Phineas and Ferb in a while but I remembered all of these. I really should go back and watch it but I don’t have a Disney+ subscription right now. One episode I wanted to add was Spa Day. I don’t really think it’s underrated but I don’t think I’ve heard that many people talk about it. I like episodes where Candace participates in Phineas and Ferb’s inventions instead of busting them, like in Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror. I also like the Spa Day song where we get to see Ferb’s rapping again (I think) and I absolutely love Dr. Coconut for no reason 😂 Another one is Put That Putter Away. I like the song and all the different courses and stuff, I think I tend to like golf episodes in general just because of the visuals (like how I like The Friendly Game from SpongeBob because of the courses, even though it’s not the greatest episode plot, character and dialogue-wise). I also love how Stacy out of all people gets involved and that Candace is sort of mad at her, from what I can remember. And I love the song and the costumes. One more that I could think of was Druselsteinoween. I know it’s not underrated, like at all, but I really like seeing Vanessa and Monty again and I love the Doof and Perry moments, and there are some funny things like the costumes and I like the Foot Stomp Mash Up. Ooh, I just thought of a sort of good one. Sipping with the Enemy. I love love love Won’t Keep Us Apart and I like the ways that Perry tries to keep Vanessa and Monty out of Doof’s sight, and meanwhile he is very oblivious and just ignores them lol. There are probably more episodes I can think of, but I feel like I’m just listing ones I like and not ones that are underrated…
Could have been funny to have that thanksgiving dinner idea you had between doof and monogram. But have it after Monty and Vanessa break up but have every attempt after being found out to tell their parents they broke up fail until the actual dinner late into it. That would be hilarious
I was speechless when you put Monster From The Id in this video! It's one of the episode with nonstandard plot when Candace didn't try to bust her brothers and they didn't build huge sized project. Oh, also this episode has memorable fanservice to me, when Dr. Doof in revealing green bathrobe almost all the time for the episode. People enjoy the exploration of Candace's mind, but I ecstatic about Doofenshmirtz in his sexy green bathrobe instead!
I know, the shift in the plot is what makes me love it so much, in fact, the episodes that avoid the usual formula are usually among the best in my opinion And seeing Doof in his bathrobe... I mean, what's not to love?
My personal favorite is "Chez Paltypus" especially it's song "Evil Love" whenever I see two villains who are atracted to each other that song plays in my head.
Good video, but I personally disagree with some choices here. Tri Stone Area is my favorite time shift episode. I find it very funny how what they say is literally gibberish, yet you can understand everything they say based on the show's formula. Doof Dynasty is forgettable for me, and the temple one is a little bit confusing. Also, what do you think of Mom's Birthday, Isabella and the Temple of Sap, and Nerds of a Feather? I think these episodes are also overlooked. And wasn't Ballseye in season 3?
Thank you and thanks for sharing your thoughts, everybody should do the same X) Yes, I admit it's pretty smart how they made the characters talk in "Tri-stine Area", and I do enjoy all the references to the show's regular episodes very much, but I just can't stand those episodes where the characters don't/barely speak xD It's just something that always bothered me for some reason Isabella and the Temple of Sap' is a very nice one I also put it in the honorable mentions of my 10 favorite PnF episodes video, along with "Bubble Boys" "Mom's Birthday" is pretty interesting too and very well executed But, honestly, I never really cared for "Nerd of a feather". Let's say it's not my thing. The Star Wars references, however, are much appreciated x) And yeah, that was a mistake, "Bullseye" is indeed from seasons 3, my bad, I didn't realize I made a typo there D:
My favorite Phineas and Ferb episodes Bully Bromance Break Up, Don't Even Blink, Primal Perry, Across the Second Dimension, Moon Farm, Split Personality, Brian Drain, Marry McGuffin, Candace Gets Busted, Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation, and Curse of Candace.
My #1 choice is Monster From The Id, but I also agree with you. I love Doofus emperor outfit! Ironically, Stacy wasn't appear in Doof Dynasty episode although she's an actual Asian (Japanese) in Chinese setting.
Finally, someone said it. Lawrence needs more screen time. He is my favorite character, but I feel like he doesn't get as much love as the other characters in the show. That episode where he turns evil is one of my favorites, mostly because I love giving my favorite characters villain arcs. I just wish we could've seen him, you know, actually trying to take over the world.
Here’s one underrated episode for you interview with a platypus mainly for the plot between Candice Jeremy and Suzy’s poodle 🐩 the latter of whom we just don’t see enough of and I hope we get a little more of in the revival
Good choices although I already imagine everybody saying these episodes are not really underrated because they don’t know what subjectivity means. Personally I agree with all of these except just our luck, I’d put nerds of a feather in its place
About half-way through this video, after seeing some of my favourite episodes listed, it dawned upon me how do you even decide which episode is underrated? Like, you don't have any official stats regarding viewership or anything. It's totally subjective 🤷🏻♂
Yeah, it really is subjective, at least, in my opinion x) It’s extremely hard to define what’s underrated and what isn’t, mainly because people often think that underrated simply means “forgotten“, but it’s more a matter of balance between how good a specific piece of content is and how much attention it gets. To put it simply, when the episode’s quality is unmatched by the amount of attention it really deserves, then it’s underrated. So this means that an *extremely* good episode that receives a great deal of attention, could still be underrated if it doesn’t receive the proper amount of recognition. (So if an episode deserves a 10, and people say it’s just an 8, then it can be considered underrated) And as you mentioned, there’s no official stats about that (and if there were there’s no way they’d actually be correct and indicative of real patterns) so I believe it all comes down to personal experience. I knew this matter would have been controversial, and I’m glad you brought it up, because it’s all pretty complex, and everyone seems to have their own opinions on this matter. Which is also why I asked whether people agreed with my picks or not, because you just never know Also, if you liked these episodes, it means that I got the quality component right, at least x) Plus, it means you have very good taste for episodes too u.u
To me, I think pretty much any episode of Season 2 Phineas and Ferb is underrated, excluding Chronicles of Meap, Christmas Vacation, Hawaiian Vacation, and of course, Summer belongs to you...
I agree, but I also have some underrated episodes 1. Out of Toon, I feel like no one talks about this one. 2. Hail Doofania, What the other comments said 3. Doof 101. 4. Thaddeus and Thor. Not mentioned much. I like Thaddeus and Thor’s characters. They’re basically the anti-Phineas and Ferb. I know this is from Season 2 but This is a underrated episode alongside Elementary my dear Stacy
I like these picks, and I also wish Thaddeus and Thor came back for an episode, they would have been interesting rivals for the boys
@@Jegcopo I am making a Phineas and Ferb movie where they go to school. And Thaddeus and Thor are coming back and are playing a role in the movie
Ready for the Bettys is underrated.
Watcha doom is by far my favorite episode. (other than Star wars)
Why do I have a feeling people die Alice in Wonderland type of vibe from the episode mother and an id

I really like the episode The great indoors

The song is still one of my favorites. But the episode itself is great as well! 😁☺️
Awesome, I found Milo Murphy's law kind of boring, didn't have the same excitement as P&F.
