The whole idol scene in Japan is just crazy, because it’s a fight for popularity and being as talented or more talented then other fooled out there. Plus as a idol your whole life is basically in control of your manager and a schedule as try to study or try to even have free time as you they have go to recordings for songs, commercials, radio shows, tv shows, signings, special events, concerts, etc. The whole idol scene in Japan is nuts, but worse is when you reach a certain age or not as popular anymore you get let go and treated as if your just a normal lowly person in society.
The sad part is that people don’t even care that these people that they’re hating on is dying and they would probably just laugh at their death. How cruel.
People work so hard, yet no one look at them, but once they make a mistake, all the attention flows in, in a bad way. Thats just how the real life. I was a shy and quiet kid in highschool and theres one time im not feeling so well and i snapped, i only say f** you to a friend. And all the people act like they just witness the most evil crime ever, i felt so guilty and for a couples of day they all gave me that offensive eye. People in my class they casually get angry and say f*** all the time and there doesnt seems to have a problem with it, everyone laugh n brush it off like "lmao its just his/her personality, s/he always does that anyways" But when a quiet one say it, its like the end of the world. People just expect someone to be a certain type of personality, to not ooc
But you never did it again? I may be wrong, but it sounded more like 'humiliation' than guilt? If so, that's nothing to be ashamed of. Our brains hold onto memories like this so we don't repeat past mistakes. Also, just because others do it doesn't mean it's okay to do it yourself.
i still think twitter should be shut down the cesspool that it is i also heard a story in a video about a vtuber who more or less went through the exact same thing tried to jump off of a roof i think a tree or something broke her fall enough to save her life got some broken bones then ended up getting help from either one of her fans or one of the people who saw her jump either way last they said in the video she was stable and getting better and getting a job i think obviously not a vtuber anymore because her snapping and mental breakdown was because of the stuff that happened to her vtuber career and caused mostly by her fans i think her fans were even the reason her vtuber career went down the toilet after the video i was glad she was better but still wanted to hurt those fans of hers in so many painful and gruesome ways and break them like they did to her
I don't know about that i think it exists pretty much anywhere with an entertainment industry. It may be more intense in Japan since Japanese society doesn't like stuff that breaks the norms or social harmony, But I have heard of similar things play out with content creators & other entertainers from America & other places. The thing is the entertainment industry no matter where in the world has a lot of dark secrets behind the curtains. You would be surprised how many people in the entertainment industry can easily put on a facade and fake smile. Also I feel like people who don't have as much experience as mainstream or bigger entertainers might be caught off guard when they see the dark sides of the entertainment industries or get brutally attacked online or in real life. Another thing is a lot of entertainers have fans that expect stuff of them a good example is musicians some musicians might become famous for making rock music for example but then they switch to another music style and the fans don't like or want to except it & wind up ridiculing or attacking the person. This is just my thoughts though I definitely don't think that kind of behavior mostly exists in Japan or East Asia. I think it's more of a human thing then a cultural thing.
I know that pattern is almost exist in every entertainment industry in every country on certain degree. But that exact behavior as in this anime depicted is surely Japanese culture. In country like Japan and Korea, it's almost common that entertainers or "idols" there would commit suicide over losing popularity or a minor mistakes or criticism. Not to mention their fans can be really obsessed with their idol to extreme level. I'm from SouthEast and it's not that crazy here.
Akane is one of my favorite characters in the show because she was able to move past that with the help of Aqua stopping her from taking her life and I like her personality
and the fact that she almost took her life because of this, thankfully one of the main characters save her before she tried to jump off a bridge into a busy road
? No one on twitter actually got mad at this. This was a jab at Japanese idol culture and the losers that participate in “criticising” idols. And even if they are aware this is directed at them they’ll try to justify it saying they’re saving their lives and careers.
Istg on the day before this episode aired i found about the hate Wonyoung's getting on her insta posts and i felt so sicken to stomach like i went thru every single other post to see and found out what people had written to her and since when this was going on but i gave up cuz literally all of'em and i mean it like all of them had these disgusting comments but i was kind of relieved as well cuz her true fans really tried their best to overshadow the hate comments and not let her see those god awful things by commenting beautiful comments gifs to her and making them appear on the top. I used to think the veil of anonymity provided by social media had really allowed us as humans to unmask our cruelest behaviours. But now If you think about it even the anonymity is overstated given some of the heinous shit I've seen people say online under their real name.
The fact that this happens all the time is sickening. Social media can be a haven or hell. Most likely for people who pursue the entertainment business or other way but it can be pure torture and nobody cares until they see something horrific happens caused by their own childish inexorable actions
This whole incident in the anime definitely highlighted the toxicity of the internet, with all its haters and bullies, and how mindless these “social justice warriors” can be, and how all this can lead to someone wanting to kill themselves. The whole time I watched it I just thought, if she really killed herself, then afterwards there would be all these people who’d come out and defend her, saying how the haters deserve to be punished and whatnot, or the haters might feel bad about what they did. But it would all be so pointless, because what were these people doing when she was alive? It’s like a bystander doing nothing to stop a murder happening in front of them, and then persecuting the murderer afterwards. Or a murderer feeling bad after they’ve killed a person, it’s all meaningless to the person who died, and their loved ones, who have to live with their death. I think another lesson this show had, that didn’t garner as much attention as the whole internet drama, is the fact that a lot of times, the people involved in the production of these shows have as much responsibility to bear, if not more, as the haters online. Because oftentimes, just for the sake of producing an “interesting” show and getting ratings, and getting people talking about the show, they will intentionally film the show in such a way that vilifies a completely innocent person. They know that doing so would result in all this hate, they know it’s entirely their fault because this was exactly the result they were looking for, to cause controversy and drama so that it would get people fired up. We see them do it to Akane, even going so far as telling her directly that she should attempt to cause conflict with Yuki, who was the show’s favourite, and then when the whole scratching incident happened, they intentionally withheld the footage they had of the two girls making up. Even when things came to a tipping point and Akane tried to commit suicide, they were reluctant to release the footage just because they knew they would be held accountable for everything that happened.
I haven't seen it yet, but so far, I think most episodes of Banana Fish are more gut-wrenching. But, having said that, this is an important topic and it sounds like it was handled well,
This episodes is the most heartbreaking one.... I mean, ik that everyone who works as an entertainer has the same risk to be on her position. But, to c the illustration bms from this anime is so...... omg ;-;.... T.T ... I can't imagine how's it feel for someone who has been through that situation :(
Fun fact:the story of this is from hana kimura Hana Kimura (Japanese: 木村花, Hepburn: Kimura Hana, September 3, 1997 - May 23, 2020) was a Japanese joshi puroresu professional wrestler. She worked for native companies in her country such as World Wonder Ring Stardom from 2016 to 2020, and Wrestle-1, in addition to having made appearances for foreign companies such as Ring of Honor, Pro-Wrestling: EVE, and some independent promotions in Mexico. Kimura was a second-generation wrestler; her mother Kyoko Kimura is a former professional wrestler.[5]
I like how it shows how judgemental people can be, like they haven't met her before but judged her just cause she a celb Well what i'm trying to say is that celbs are people too they have there personal life and problems and that people should not be too involved in there life cause sometimes we just make it worse
The worst part is that this was based on a real situation. A actresses suit/costume got ripped up and she was very upset in a reality show and was told to slap a guy by the directors, she only hit his hat though because she would feel bad if she hit him. She signed a contract that said that she had to follow the directors orders and she couldn't say that it was staged to the public or she would be fined. She got a bunch of hate and whenever she looked like she felt a little better the comments would get worse and worse, one day she posted a tweet with her cat sitting in front of her, the tweet said "I love you live a long and happy life" and commited suicide.

Other thing this episode show is that you can't believe in everything you see online, the directors of the program changes the whole scene to make her look bad and didn't show she apologizing to the other girl and they making out, the directors could easily cut that scene or just show the apologize but nah, they couldn't miss that opportunity, they prefer to make a teenager look bad to people so they would hate her, no one in the production did nothing before Aqua ask for the original footage, they saw what she was going through, what people was doing with her and they just ignore it and let she get the internet hate, i just simply fell disgusting seen a bunch of stupid adults making a kid pass though this shit The hate she get was the production, directors and their superiors fault, not her's
Oh gosh, I didn't even think about that, but they do usually change names don't they, I guess it's just one more thing that makes this show so immersive and amazing

Hard to ignore when thousands of people shit on your blood, sweat, and tears. Some people even telling you to die or to quit.
The sad part is that people don’t even care that these people that they’re hating on is dying and they would probably just laugh at their death. How cruel.
I never watched the episode, I read the manga but DAYUM that part hit harder than a bullet 😭
People in my class they casually get angry and say f*** all the time and there doesnt seems to have a problem with it, everyone laugh n brush it off like "lmao its just his/her personality, s/he always does that anyways"
But when a quiet one say it, its like the end of the world. People just expect someone to be a certain type of personality, to not ooc
ye, society is cringe, I'm waiting to merge with Artificial Intelligences.
But you never did it again? I may be wrong, but it sounded more like 'humiliation' than guilt? If so, that's nothing to be ashamed of. Our brains hold onto memories like this so we don't repeat past mistakes. Also, just because others do it doesn't mean it's okay to do it yourself.
Who create success? The audience. Who can destroy it? The audience.
" let's play.... TO a song... That we made.... Wipe your tears... And your fears... And I'll be here..."
NOO I CRY EVERY TIME I LISTEN TO THAT SONG 😭😭
Twitter: you can't defeat me
Cyber-victims: I know, but they can!
Apathy: 💥
it does portray the effects mental health pretty well.
I never wanted to see the world burn more in my life than after reading that arc.
i still think twitter should be shut down the cesspool that it is i also heard a story in a video about a vtuber who more or less went through the exact same thing tried to jump off of a roof i think a tree or something broke her fall enough to save her life got some broken bones then ended up getting help from either one of her fans or one of the people who saw her jump either way last they said in the video she was stable and getting better and getting a job i think obviously not a vtuber anymore because her snapping and mental breakdown was because of the stuff that happened to her vtuber career and caused mostly by her fans i think her fans were even the reason her vtuber career went down the toilet after the video i was glad she was better but still wanted to hurt those fans of hers in so many painful and gruesome ways and break them like they did to her
That kinda behavior mostly exist in Japan, or East Asia in general
@@windygrass9807 Ah i understand what you mean now
Akane is one of my favorite characters in the show because she was able to move past that with the help of Aqua stopping her from taking her life and I like her personality
I love how this show talks about the real idol life, like in kpop and Jpop. This happens alot to idols and they end up committing suicide
and the fact that she almost took her life because of this, thankfully one of the main characters save her before she tried to jump off a bridge into a busy road
I like how you put the omori music with the topic of Oshi No Ko. I can definitely see they are similar in a way.
Twitter gets mad because they know they are the cesspool of toxicity that the episode is jabbing at.
? No one on twitter actually got mad at this. This was a jab at Japanese idol culture and the losers that participate in “criticising” idols. And even if they are aware this is directed at them they’ll try to justify it saying they’re saving their lives and careers.
The way the light in her eyes just disappear is a cool detail, love that
"Rule number 1 in the internet ralph.. Don't look at the comments.."
She even got hate from people on tiktok💀
I agree for this one actually..
The way you picked the Omori soundtrack is actually a nice Easter egg
Oshi no ko Twitter: "aKaNe sUcKs"🚫🙅♀️📢
Real Twitter: *Gives whole essays why Akane is the best girl in Oshi No Ko* ✔️ ✅️
Even Kana hates her and gets jealous of her.☠️
And next episode, it’s like it never happened. No leftover trauma, no mild unease, she just goes back to normal.
Watching this hurts because it’s so relatable. It’s part of why I enjoy taking part in the Korok Space Program…😂
That gut wrenching pain is reality. The kind of shit that makes you think about dying regardless of how strong you are.
I guess even the writers hated twitter
This was sad but the ending if this episode make me excited for the next one😊
You can't predict how others will react, but you can control how you respond. Don't expect others to help you feel betrer, it all starts with you
I honestly,no,seriously love her. She deserves more love..💔
I like how it shows how judgemental people can be, like they haven't met her before but judged her just cause she a celb
Well what i'm trying to say is that celbs are people too they have there personal life and problems and that people should not be too involved in there life cause sometimes we just make it worse
Omori ost 😭
This anime episode is called “Egosearching” on Oshi no Ko
The worst part is that this was based on a real situation. A actresses suit/costume got ripped up and she was very upset in a reality show and was told to slap a guy by the directors, she only hit his hat though because she would feel bad if she hit him. She signed a contract that said that she had to follow the directors orders and she couldn't say that it was staged to the public or she would be fined. She got a bunch of hate and whenever she looked like she felt a little better the comments would get worse and worse, one day she posted a tweet with her cat sitting in front of her, the tweet said "I love you live a long and happy life" and commited suicide.
Tch. It's just another depress episode like any other anime I have already seen.
Nah this anime is BUILT DIFFERENT
It's good but people do exaggerate oshi no ko way too much
I've seen hundreds of anime and no one portraits the reality of internet and how much it can affect a person better than this one. I was truly impressed because it's exactly like in reality.
@@VideoGamer8 I don't think so. I've genuinely never seen an anime like ohsinoko. Ive seen anime talking about mental health and social problems in general but so far this anime is the one who delivered the message the best in my opinion. It portraits exactly how reality is.
LMAOO please do not speak like that ever again 😂 "tch." Bro u tryna be a character???🗿💀
the omori music in the background just makes it even more sad
They did this over A FINGERNAIL SCRATCH💀💀
Nah Ai's death is better😩
"Overreacting",tsk😒.
Any berserk episode🗿
Real fans don't compare anime
@@ishantchoubisa9643bro you read berserk first and see what happens 💀people lit getting sad at oshi no ko they see berserk they gon faint or some shir
@@kharlamovmaximlel nah, I know berserk is straight up traumatising. Calling that thing hell's visual representation on earth would be an understatement. Berserk is nightmare fuel. All I'm stating is that real fans don't compare anime and respect other's opinion. Just try and enjoy everything and remember to be respectful of people's preferences.
@@ishantchoubisa9643 aight bro my fault for misunderstanding
Gigachads that dont compare animes and try to one up everything : 💪 🗿
Ngl, the aftermath and the plot twist made me cry
The most terrifying is how realistically they portrayed Twitter
Like how the people treated Naruto as a kid
As an Omori fan, I've never felt so excited yet depressed at the same time. This feels so odd to listen to the background music over this Oshi No Ko episode, kinda reminds me of the Bad Ending where Sunny did something similar to what Akane did., The difference is she got saved by Aqua.
Still the scariest thing from this anime to me is the scene where yk who died. And they were smiling while holding their kids, the way tht image was illustrated was crazy
Bro I didn't even cry when Ai died. I was very sad sure but it was too sudden to really feel that pain
But between the build up, and the end of the episode that changed from blissful lights and silence to pouring rain and a dark longing for the end... I didn't only cry but I was haunted
I'm reading an entertainment novel rn and...yeah. This world is not flower and sunshine at all. Haters are everywhere. And they won't hesitate to throw you off in a second when you show a single weakness. Heck, one of the chapter in a novel I read was about MC being involved in an accident and somehow, some still blame him for that. 'Oh, he's trying to garner our sympathy', 'Oh, the group is better without him', 'Oh, he should just stay in coma. Look at how sloppy he is now'. Like, what the heck?!
You really gotta have a strong mentality if you wanna live in this side of world, huh...
Instagram wouldn't let her slide 💀
My chest felt so damn heavy during the whole episode... Deny or dismiss it, this is really the true face of the internet... And sadly, there will be no person like Aqua to save people like Akane in real life most of the time...
NO WAY , NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT A NEW EPISODE COMING OUT?!! IMMA WATCH RIGHT NOW , THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO 💖💖, OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN!!
THE OMORI MUSIC.
THE OMORI WHITE SPACE ON THE PIANO HITS HARDER THAN MY SISTER FALLING DOWN THE STAIRS-
And yet this episode made her my favorite character from the anime
This is the reality of entertainment industry... i can't deny it... me personally love kpop and I've saw it... my favourite kpop idol had been kicked out from her group because of bullying accusation...
Other thing this episode show is that you can't believe in everything you see online, the directors of the program changes the whole scene to make her look bad and didn't show she apologizing to the other girl and they making out, the directors could easily cut that scene or just show the apologize but nah, they couldn't miss that opportunity, they prefer to make a teenager look bad to people so they would hate her, no one in the production did nothing before Aqua ask for the original footage, they saw what she was going through, what people was doing with her and they just ignore it and let she get the internet hate, i just simply fell disgusting seen a bunch of stupid adults making a kid pass though this shit
The hate she get was the production, directors and their superiors fault, not her's
Oh gosh, I didn't even think about that, but they do usually change names don't they, I guess it's just one more thing that makes this show so immersive and amazing
The crazy thing is what the actual fans did to her eng voice actor !
THIS APPEARED ON MY FYP AFTER EXACTLY AN YEAR ( the video was uploaded 2023-May-19 and today is the same date but 2024 )
I ain’t ever watched this anime, but I can feel her rage in her eyes and hurts because I relate 😂
Sometimes you just need someone to ask if your okay
THE WHITE SPACE I CANT-
Not the Omori music to rub it in. 😭😭😭
