@@darcingwiththestars the goal of the workout is muscular endurance. doing high rep drop sets for a few compound exercises is a great way to accomplish that. its especially good in this case where the specific exercises don't require high coordination or fry the nervous system. s and c doesn't need to be complicated.
Bo, I want you to study ---> Wall Wrestling in MMA - Armchair Violence (RUclips) Fantastic video, one of the best content on wall wrestling concepts, tried and true knowledge, film studies, etc. It will help you greatly in expanding MMA knowledge and applying wrestling off the cage, which is obviously a different dimension of grappling than freestyle or folkstyle.
You could use a lot of work on your lifting technique. Surround yourself with people that know what they’re doing. It’ll pay off in your fighting and grappling performances.
It will be interesting to see how his wrestling/grappling matches up with Khamzat's. I can't see him getting the better of Khamzat in that department, but only time will tell, when they meet up.

It's endurance strength training. Not bodybuilding. His trainer is a national champion wrestler who had to put on strength and weight to move up to heavyweight just to get in the line-up. Mma is an endurance sport.
