- After months of work, here it is!! It’s “Turkey Lurkey Time”!
Happy to present my #dollmation of the 1969 #TonyAwards telecast featuring the hit number from the #Tony, #Grammy, #DramaDesk & #TheatreWorld award-winning 1968 #Broadway #musical #PromisesPromises, performed by #DonnaMcKechnie (Miss Della Hoya), #MargoSappington (Miss Polanski), #BaayorkLee (Miss Wong), & the “Promises, Promises” ensemble. Music by #BurtBacharach, lyrics by #HalDavid. Choreography by #MichaelBennett & #BobAvian. Book by #NeilSimon. Directed by #RobertMoore.

This is so good it made me cry. I was a pit singer and understudy in the original production of "Promises," happily singing that song 8 times a week. Thank you for your amazing work!
You were also part of my childhood. You were the mom (Marsha Owens) on Mr. Belvedere! And as a "Grease" fan I know you played "Sandy" in "Grease" - I believe you replaced Carole Demas in the role.
@@2Be-ReBorn I did replace Carole, and indeed I was the mom on "Mr B." My daughter and I will be singing "Turkey Lurkey" in my holiday show at 54 Below on 12/28--but no choreography!
Wow, thank you! That really means a lot!!! And I love Mr B!!!
This exchange is why I sometimes have faith the internet can be a good place ❤
@ilenegraff8345 You're a true legend -- happiest of holidays to you and yours!
Ummm….I never thought in a million years I would ever meet someone as passionate about this number as I am?!? This is AMAZING!!!
This is EVERYTHING. Although I love watching the original Tony Awards I also first asked “why is this such bad quality!” Omg this is so funny it deserves a doll Tony Award for the person who made it!
My first thought is that at least this cast won't need intense chiropractic care after this dance!
Mine, too!
THIS is why RUclips was invented. God Bless and Happy Holidays! Thank you for this Christmas Joy!
OH my heavens where to start? The way the Donna Mckechnie doll plays to the balcony? Brilliant.
Thank You!!!
The attention to details in this is INSANE!!!
The dolls really channel Michael Bennett's choreography, right down to their hand placement and side-stepping. Thank you for this!
I know that Donna has seen this, have Baayork and Julane (AND Seth) seen this yet? Beyond amazing, I guess they'll go see "Chiropractor Barbie"? Bravo sir🦃🦃🦃
Cher and Barbra...😂..Those dance moves.. Wow!...must've taken forever.. Bravo..
(slap!) Snap out of it!! 🤣
So glad you enjoyed it!!
Just when the world looks darkest, something like this comes along and restores faith in humanity. Couldn't have been more awesome!!!
The world is better for the existence of this clip! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!!!
I can't stop watching to this. Thank you so much! It's my all time favorite Broadway choreography.
So happy you like it
I'm a Barbie collector and doll photographer. This is brilliant. I'm also a retired public school teacher, and I taught my kids this song for the Thanksgiving assembly the first year I taught in 1975. WONDERFUL!
Have you ever seen Todd Haynes Superstar, done with Barbie Dolls.. it's also brilliant. ruclips.net/video/FmY5mTmrsVI/видео.html
@@seventiesmemories5116 I will now!
I made a side-by-side comparison, and this is just as building and thrilling as the original. You are absolutely brilliant. My love for Michael Bennet, Broadway, and Barbie come together in this one-of-a-kind, inspired, artistic creation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I needed this, this year!!!
Wow, thank you! I’m so glad you can see the time I put into trying to get the choreography right! Was tough but a lot of fun to do!!
Wow, simply Fab-U-Lash! Happy Holidaze!
Best thing I've seen in years. The camera angles!!! This is a masterpiece!
Barbra Streisand refused to appear on The Nanny tv show & Cher refused to appear on an episode of The X Files tv show even though both shows were dedicated to them. Not only did you get them for this video but you resurrected Audrey Hepburn just to appear in this spectacular show ! THANK YOU !
Ray Harrihausen looks down from Heaven with joy in your work.
Thank you for that
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG, this is scathingly brilliant. Thank you!!!
Glad you like it! Thank you!!!
One of the most entertaining things I've seen all year!
I shouldn’t love this so much….but I absolutely do!!
WOOOO!🎄🦃
I had never heard of Turkey Lurkey Time until I saw this video tonight. I've discovered something amazing.
This is really cool and insane effort. It paid off beautifully
Please know that this is quite honestly one of the greatest videos I've ever seen! Turkey Turkey Time is my favorite MT performance of all time, and for a good reason: The way you were able to capture the magical (and often absurd) maniacal movement of the original is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you for all of the incredible hard work you clearly put into making this 💚❤💜
Loved when the doll in green jumped onto the table in the back to do her head popping! Terrific!
That was "Betsy Haug," the dance captain.
I thank you. And so does Ms McKechnie for her double head pop.
I can't even imagine just how much work has to go into putting this together. Kudos!!!
Donna McKechnie's neck never looked more flexible.
4:25 I'm still HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!!!! I can't hear this song without it now.
Somehow I didn't find this until December 2023. It made our Christmas extra awesome! It's mid-January and I still can't stop watching it. Thank you for creating this! [fixed a typo]
Thank you so much!!! So happy you enjoyed it!!
Glorious! Utterly breathtaking. 👯🕺💃
those girls can DANCE!!! and the guys too...
I passed out twice watching this . . . regained consciousness . . . then passed out watching it again. #Overload
YOU are BRILLIANT! This was an incredible recreation of the dance number! Congratulations and thank you for sharing~ LOVED IT.
Baayork and Donna will plotz from this!
Ha! A fine tribute to Donna McKechnie and the rest of her cast!
This is unbelievable! Kudos to you - what a truly fantastic treat this is!
This had more life than humans doing it. Amazing work!
Thank you so much!!!
Absolutely amazing!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is some amazing Liquid Television circa 1994-level shit right here 🙌
This is truly wonderful art! Dollmation domination--yes, yes, yes!💖💖💖
This is a towering masterwork. Near the beginning of the number when Miss De La Hoya almost 'forgot' to put her drink down I knew I was home, 1:14 . The Miss Wong doll gave me serious Baayork Lee chills. I loved the "is this bootleg Broadway?" dialogue at around :55 . I have restaged this number in a bootleg manner twice with youth groups (2008 and 2015) with lots of Mr. Bennet And McKechnie anecdotes. Those kids are now in college or graduated think I'll your version to them. They'll get a kick out of it!
I did not know how much I needed this in my life until I saw it. What a effort it must have been, but it's so joyous, silly, and guaranteed to cheer one up. Kudos!
Happy to be of service!!
Incredible!! Hilarious and brilliant! I hope Donna has seen this.
OMG -- thank you for your wonderful service to the theatre community with this fantastic labor of love!!! Truly a highlight of the season for me!!!
OMG, that was great... AND hysterical!! Love how you got the huge arm swings toward the end... Thanks for making me laugh!!
oh my doll!!! this is formidable. I can barely imagine the time you spent making this. the animations are perfect. great idea using the bases . I found your vid on FB and hope it is ok to share on my wall. thank you for this great moment.

I didn't know how much i needed this. Brilliant!

You, sir, have outdone yourself.
This is fantastic! The dance is spot on! The hairdos and costumes of the dolls are amazing.

Beautiful work! I enjoyed every moment of this video. Thank you so much.
Bravo!!!
The guy in the background at 2:51 trying to figure out how to dance kills me.
Like below, I smiled so hard I cried. What skill. Thank you.
Hysterical and so amazingly done.
This is one of the most brilliant things I’ve ever seen. It made me hate this silly song less. The taller girl actually looks like Donna McKechnie. Well played!!
This was captivating & entertaining!
Incredible work!
@3:31 when Donna dips back way further than the other two. There goes Cassie, poppin her head again!
Wonderful! I love the costuming.
Such an excellent job! Thankyou
OMG. This is fantastic!
OMG!! That is amazing! I can only imagine how much WORK went into making that. Incredible!
Warren this was so joy fun I watched at least 10 times congratulations ! Merry Merry Christmas Xx Matt Sky
This is everything
This piece of genius deserves all the awards.
Fabulous!
Immediate subscription! LOVE THIS SO MUCH ❤
when Doll-a McKechnie's extra long neck does not just look like rubber but is in fact made of it, delightful!
This was great! Thank you!!!!
Appreciate all the work that went into this, pretty cool.
It's like a real movie, you need a costume designer and hair designer for your actors.
Again very well done.
That was incredible, creative and such an impressive undertaking. Thank you for such great content.
Please do “You Could Drive a Person Crazy” from Company.
That was just plain awesome!
My late sister, Alicia used to make videos like this and it reminded me so much of her and her Vimeo Barbie & Ken go parking!
This was a labor of love! Fantastic!!!
This is nothing short of fucking genius. Well done!
Wonderful 💖
This is amazing!
This is insanely genius. Now I want a "Turkey Lurkey Time" doll, the whole set haha
This is fabulous!!! You are amazing
