I love these markers :) I actually contacted Ohuhu last night out of sheer curiosity, asking if they had plans of making brush markers, and if they did, when they'd be released to the public. They responded an hour later (and it was 3 A.M., these guys are awesome) telling me that they actually have already made the brush tip markers and will be available in Amazon in two weeks. It's a set of 60, and will have a brush tip and a fine nib. This will give Copic a run for their money!

Metatron tf you're right! But the actual marker is very thin so there might not be much ink in it. They seem to be made specifically for calligraphy rather than coloring in large surfaces like drawings

I got a 40 set of OHUHU markers for 19.99 and I'm really happy with them considering their price. This video came out right after I ordered them. Coincidence? I think not.

*BEST INTRO EVER.*
I bought this set of 80 Ohuhu markers off Amazon. I ordered the set on Christmas and I got them yesterday (Dec 29). The markers are completely different than those in your set. The caps were perfectly oval shaped identical to the barrel. There was a MAJOR difference however: there are no color names, just numbers, but the bag of markers did come with a color chart with the colors organized in numrical order. Plus, my markers seem slightly smaller than the previous version of Ohuhu. The highlighters are labeled with and F like FO4, meaning Flourescent Orange 4. I only recieved 2 Flourescents in my set of 80.
Hiral M. Chavre -- I am pretty sure it is the same as the link in the description. I would still recomend these markers. What are your concerns with the newer version I described? I can answer some basic quesrions, although I am still a beginning artist. You can search "Ohuhu Markers" on RUclips and use a filtered search for just the past week or so to find out what the new style if Ohuhu look like if you are interested. The only other markers I know of that can compete with Ohuhu for practically the same price are Soucolor Markers also on Amazon. The Soucolor have color names but some markers come with the occasional withered nib, misprinted or smeared labels, and excessive bleeding. This only happens to a couple markers so overall it minimally affects the set. I own both the set of 100 Soucolor and 80 Ohuhu and just after a quick comparison it is obvious the Ohuhu are a superior markers even without the color names (in my case). Obviously this is just my opinion, but if you want the cheapest markers that still maintain great quality consistently Ohuhu are the way to go. Just for a reference in price: the soucolor are 40-45 cents per marker and ohuhu are 50-54 cents. This pricing does not account for highlighters however. The highlighters are labeled as Florescents and are not alcohol based markers. Fortunately, the Ohuhu only has 2 of these highlighters, but Soucolor has 5. So if your want inexpensive alcohol based markers I would suggest the Ohuhu because if you get the new model like I received or the older model you will still get a good product.

They are double-sided with a bullet and brush nib. I brought them and absolutely LOVE them. They are great quality and if you want to spend that much they are great.

Doodle likes Anime Yeah, same! A lot of people are put off by chiseled tipped markers though, but I've never tried them. Seriously though, 80 markers? For 40$? That's actually incredible. I'm hesitating between these and the Blick markers tbh...

Kiwi Bird Jesus, you're lucky. I live in Canada, and the only price I see on Amazon for a set of 24 is about 80$ (CDN) But I'm not sure I'm willing to invest in high quality markers just yet. I'm not sure if I even like using markers, haha.

refillable [.5+ pro because the refill costs about the same as the marker, but fills up the marker like 14 times]
they are flatish so they won't rolls away

copic cons:
they are the most expensive alcoHoly markers at roughly $7.99 usd.
I've found when first using the markers sometimes the alcohol makes the ink come out really quickly, drenching the paper or spot your working on in your copic [having an extra sheet to 'Dab' the marker to helps with this]

I first watched this video a few months after it came out when I was in grade 7. I remember running downstairs and begging my dad to order alcohol based markers for me to use, and I literally went through every change purse and every wallet to have enough cash for a set of cheap bullet nib markers 😂 when I finally got them I think they really gave me a lot of passion and motivation to make art and so did this video- and your art still inspires me today. Even though the art I made with those markers is absolutely embarrassing they definitely helped me improve as an artist and I’m still drawing today. So thanks for this video, I guess :)

Another good and cheap marker brand that's a nice alternative to Copics are Blick Studio Brush markers! They have a brush nib ;) But sadly I don't think they're refillable, so that's a downside. Try them out pls? :3

Waffles: a good lining pen (but it is 0.7) - Uniball Vision... It is waterproof, and fade proof. I have used it for years. Great flowing dark black ink pen. worth the $3 for 2 pens.

Another brand if you're looking is Artify Premium. I just got into using alcohol based markers and am loving these! I was looking on Amazon for options and they had this pack of 40 markers on sale with a carrying case for ~$30 bucks (now almost $40) but normally it's ~$143. So yeah pros:
- huge sale
- dual tipped (marker tip + chisel) NOT nib
- not round
- numbers & names on both sides
- gray marking on the marker tip side so it's easy to tell without having to read the side each time
- comes with the white blender!
- also works well with the white gel pens and with micron pens

My 60 Ohuhu markers came in last week and I'm loving them! With my low income and amount of bills, ohuhu are a really good alternative. I gave my little brother my old markers i got for Christmas 5 years ago and he was ecstatic! So it's a win win, thank you for making this video ~

the manufacturer that makes these has several different sets of markers: Animation, Fashion, Landscape, Architectural and interior Design . there are overlap colors in each set and some speciality colors specific to each set. If the suppliers just orders 80 color set but has no option to select the set the manufacturer sends a set at random. So you don't know which set you are getting :) FYI they have 168 colors in total

These markers are IDENTIDICAL to TouchFive markers! As you mention, they bleed, and TouchFive also bleeds quite a bit. The appearance and design of the marker is identical, expect for the brand name and print on the marker barrel. The colors are literally the same (most of them at least). The TouchFive has different color sets and stuff, but around the same price range.

I used them on normal sketch paper (not caring that it bled through the paper & feathered- but my drawing of Naruto came out looking so good. Do you when you open the ohuhu marker your supposed to open the cap lightly to let the air in. And if you open the markers rough the ink would come out of the marker. Sorry just trying to help. :3 tbh I love your art 💗💗

I actually saw this before christmas and since i'm an aspiring artist and saw how well they work I asked for them. I absolutely love the colors and they just add the pizzazz to my drawings. You were actually my inspiration to start drawing :)
The good markers are round because they're to expensive for me, so they just run away

Just bought these and I love them too! The only thing that comes short in my opinion is the lack of skin tones.
I find that just assuming the color is darker than the cap works pretty well, though I did make a ref sheet like you ☺️
Probably the least useful colors is the fluorescent, kind of random but who knows, maybe I’ll find an interesting way to use them.
I wish I had found your video sooner, would’ve made my decision a lot easier. It’s nice to find a reviewer that by the end of it you get the same results and opinions of the product haha!

I think you have to push down with the marker in order to make them work. That's how fabric markers work, anyway. Push down in the corner till ya get a dot.

I have the same markers as her :) I recommend getting these the one thing I don't like about this is my bag was loose basically what I'm trying to say is that the markers can fall out easily other than that it's great ^^ the second thing I like to point out is the blending it's great! Lol I’m three years late but my first alcohol markers were the winsor and Newton brush markers there good but now in 2021 I have copics and all sorts of brush markers
My birthday is in a few days and I'm getting a 60 pack of these markers and im really excited, but I've never used alcohol-based markers before so this video really helped! :D

Then I searched it up on the internet and its only available in the US I think and im in Canada
So im like "NOOOOOOOO!! They were on sale too!" So I went on Amazon and got TOUCHNEW markers instead.
Theyre pretty much the same. Bullet nib and Chisel nib same look and everything but just a different bag. Also has a bag with it and blends really good. Though sometimes I think, I wish I coulve brought those markers instead they seem as good but I could get so much more for a less price. And im a beginner so that too.
Crystal_Rose 332 I know this is a while ago, but they are on Amazon Canada now! Not as cheap, but I'm in Alberta looking for a cheaper alternative to copics as well and deciding if these are worth it or should I just halt my art to save for years to buy copics lol.

For some reason I just find it satisfying to watch random tutorials or reviews on RUclips, and therefore when I saw this, I was intrigued. ive been doing art for 6 years and i finally got these markers. post of my bigger artist friends use these markers. i honestly love them tbh
I have those markers already the numbers on the caps they rub off leaving you wondering what the heck the color you're using is, and they don't have the color name/number on the barrel so that a bit annoying. I am not intentionally rubbing them off either, but I guessed since there is like only 80 markers and there not making more (I don't think so anyways) I just cut out small pieces of paper and colored on them with the marker (that is missing its number and name) and taped it on the cap, so I know what the color looks like. Other than that these markers are really good and would recommend to people like me who don't have a whole lot of cash in their pockets!
You should do a review on Touch Five markers. i heard they r pretty good copic alternatives and has a good variety of colors

I just got the 40 set ohuhu markers and I absolutely love them!!! They blend very easily and I have yet to have an issue with any of the colors. I do wish they were brush tip but thats a very minor problem, I can work with chissle tip. They are definitely worth it.

I got the 80 set of the bullet nibs, and the 48 set of the brush ones. You really can’t beat the price. I thought about getting the 200 but I seen someone else’s and there were a ton of browns and grays, so I didn’t get it.
This is kind of a comfort episode I go back to 💜

THANKS FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO! My dad got these for me and i wanted to know what i'm getting, they are coming in a week or 2! i got the 100 set and i can't wait!!!!! Im going to my grandma's house and she lives 8 hours away from me, so i will have a nice pack of markers for the drive!

I'm a beginner artist and I have a problem when coloring with any type of marker, where I try to color something in, and as I go back to color in the white spots, it creates those darker spots where I overlapped, along with the lines and marks that show show when you put down the marker. I've resorted to using colored pencils, which would be fine if not for how inconsistent the color shows up on multi purpose paper.
you should colour the area in one go, without lifting the marker and going slowly. I also really reccomend using the brush or chisel tip for this as the broad tip will creat uneven colouring

one thing that I noticed was that the 40 set markers look really different from the 80 set markers so it looked they were made by a completely different company except for the logo!

Keep in mind theyve changed a lot. In fact, there is now a brush tip version! But for these dual tipped ones they changed the shape, colors ect. She has an updated review if you're curious :)

what top colors are the best for beginners to us? cause i really want to try markers, but i dont want to spend too much on many markers.
dan It just depends on what colors you like, I mean even drawing a person requires multiple skin shades, a hair color, and a few more for clothes.
I would say start off with a simple gray set, since you can work with shading and layering without worrying about how the markers will actually look on paper
dan If you're willing to spend a bit more money there is a set of Prismacolor markers on Amazon. They come in a set of 24 with a carrying case for $45 USD. They are double-sided with a bullet and brush nib. I brought them and absolutely LOVE them. They are great quality and if you want to spend that much they are great.
