*Just a quick note, I will definitely try the foundation with a damp sponge next, as that's my preferred way to apply foundation. The only reason I didn't in this video is because I wanted to try their new face brush. I would also suggest applying the blushes to your hand first and then dipping a brush or damp sponge into it before applying to your face. That's what I normally do and it works best for me. Again, I only applied them directly to my face because that's what elf was recommending in the directions (but I don't think that's the best way).*
I recently purchased the Wet N Wild tinted hydrator skin veil, have heard many say they love it and they are correct. It is wonderful, it is definitely light coverage but the finish on my 71 year old skin is wonderful.
I really have no interest in either of these launches, but I do love many elf products and appreciate your reviews and opinions. Thanks for continuing to make thoughtful and entertaining content!
I just wanted to let you know how much I have been enjoying your channel. Always good information with a great presentation. It shows how hard you work to make your content enjoyable to watch. Thank you..❤
The CC Cream packaging reminded me of the Lancôme Skin Feels Good Skin Tint, I was hoping it was a nice, affordable comparison. I love the Heimish BB Cream, it has become my go to for my lazy days when I want something on my skin that isn't foundation or too full coverage on the skin. The liquid blushes look good, I like that they aren't too pigmented, and easy to blend.
i reallllly love that the liquid blushes aren’t too pigmented. i’m loving the mauve, coral, pink, orange, and hot pink. the brushes look pretty awesome as well. i loveeee your videos!!! 🥰🥰🥰
@@gisellespringerjust wondering if Moira had a pigmented blush in their line you could try? Obviously rare beauty is the most pigmented but if you wanted to try something cheaper? :)
@@gisellespringerI’m medium tan and tried the shade berry well. It’s way too pigmented for me. Giving clown cheeks! I like blushes that show up but can be built up vs these that immediately made me look like I had a rash. So if you’re looking for pigment try that shade. Not sure how dark you are though - but if you’re tan or med-dark it might work
I didn't like the original either, and since I have oily skin, I won't be trying this one. Thanks for taking one for the team. The blushes are super pretty though!
Always appreciate your honest and in-depth reviews. Nice to see the blush held up after a full day. Too bad the hydrating CC cream didn’t sit well on the skin as I was hoping it would be a better version than the original CC. I did think the hydrating camo concealer to be much better than the original concealer. Shame this isn’t the same
C’mon elf, you’re killin me! Although you might be able to salvage the CC cream by using an eye primer on your nose or anywhere it goes on patchy. I’ve tried that and it’s a good tip.
Soo excited to try the new blushes! But I wish ELF would come up with a better basic foundation, like around $10 with a huge shade range 😂 a girl can dream
Hey Jen! Love the video, but I don't think either product would work for me. Chemical sunscreens or blends are not something I trust on my skin, and liquid blushes are simply beyond my skill level. I like creams and powders, and I've got plenty of both. But what interests me are those brushes. I don't wash brushes nearly often enough - who does? - so I'd like to stock up on good, serviceable brushes for cream products. I wish Elf would bring back the Domed Stipple, or even the Small Stipple brush... You're looking lovely as ever! Thanks for the video, and Happy Whatever You Celebrate! (my safe for everyone greeting!)
I still LOVE the Revlon ColorStay Oily/ Combo, even though I have crazy dry skin in Ivory. It’s one of the few color matches I have (Missha #13 is perfect!).
The elf cc creams just seem like misses. I couldn’t find any colors that worked for my very fair skin & it was a thick mess. This one seems really similar to the original. But those blushes look good! This was so helpful.
Not saying for sure, but sometimes if I use a brush with a thicker foundation, it will sit on top of my skin. If I go back over it with a damp sponge, it helps it sink in. 🤷♂️
I didn’t bother trying the first Elf CC Cream because the IT cosmetics one it was duping looks HORRIBLE on me. It looked cakey, dry, mask-like…no matter how I applied it or what type of primer I used. I remember being just flabbergasted at how bad it was for me 😂 So I’ll probably pass on this iteration, but the blushes look great!!
When I use my rare beauty liquid blush I put a drop on my hand, swirl out on my brush, then apply to cheeks. That way I can control what I get. That might help.
I mentioned at the end of the video that I was planning to put them on my hand first next time. That's what I usually do, but for this video I was applying them the way elf suggested in their directions. :)
I knew it would be pertinent to see a review before buying the foundation. The last two neutral foundations I got from them leaned very orange and inexpensive or not, it’s still money lost. I already bought four blushes so I’m glad to see they’re manageable. I think they need to work on their shades because a lot of them leaned orange-peachy. Thank you for reviewing and swatching everything! 😊
I bought the Peach Perfect blush shade and found the formula, color, and applicator shape to be very similar to the Saie liquid blush in Peachy. Peach Perfect is a bit more neutral tho.
120N in the original Camo CC Cream is my PERFECT shade. Unfortunately, the original Camo CC Cream started breaking up on my face in a matter of 1-2 hours (I have normal-oily, acne-prone skin with my t-zone being the oilest part of my face). I was really hoping they had fixed those issues with this new formula, but alas it seems that they have not. I will stick with the Wet N Wild Tinted Hydrator because that is gorgeous! The blushes definitely show some promise. I really like Suave Mauve and PInky Promise for everyday. Comin' In Hot Pink and Coral Crush are such fun shades for an extra pop!
Thank you for cheek swatching all of the cheek colors. I see warmth in EVERY shade (pretty common these days). At best 1 or 2 might be considered neutral. Having pink in the name doesn’t make something cool. Many pinks have warm/yellow tones in them. This is very helpful, will be skipping both 😊MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family!
Hi, Jen! Thanks so much for the 411 on the new ELF blushes. I love the colours, and I think I can wear most of them. I do like the ELF original formula CC cream. It just seems to work well with my skin, so I think I'll try the new one, too. I'm just not that fond of regular foundation anymore, especially full coverage. THAT makes me look like I'm wearing a mask, and it's so heavy. I'd rather just wear light to medium formulas. With combination skin, it feels more comfortable. My skin is drier in winter and oiler in summer. Of course, I broke out until I was 40 years old! I know, insane, isn't it? Just a thought: have you fonsidered trying the new ELF CC cream over face primer? Maybe it would work better that way. I like the ELF liquid putty primer. It doesn't feel sticky, and my makeup seems to adhere pretty well to it. Oh, a quick follow up. I've been using the ColourPop brow pen as I'd mentioned, and it looks FANTASTIC! It really looks natural, so I can thicken up my brows from the stupid overplucking I did in the 90s. Remember that?🙄 But I'm using Soft Brown, and it blends in perfectly with my dark brows. I hope you get to try it, and I hope it works out for you! You'll have to let me know. BTW, I believe it's less expensive than the NYX Lift and Snatch.(yay!) I hope you and your family have a great Christmas. Not sure yet if we're going to have snow; it's certainly cold enough!🥶
Such a helpful review Jen! Thanks for all this info. I had a lot of points on the ELF website so I've ordered Comin' in Hot Pink and the new brush which looks lovely. xx
The first elf CC cream I HATED. Thank you for trying this out, but it's a no go for me. On a side note I'm not sure how they're mixing chemical sunscreen with physical sunscreen because that doesn't work when you apply them separately. You have to apply the sunscreen that matches the make up of your foundation. Either oil-based or water-based. Those blushes do intrigue me however, every single color looks great on you! I think I would start with the mauve
I didn't like the original Camo CC Cream. I actually returned it b/c I really didn't work for me. I love the looks of the blushes. I've never been a big cream/liquid blush, bronzer, etc. user but as I get older I am enjoying them more and more especially in the winter. My skin isn't particularly dry (or oily) but it seams to need a little more moisture in the winter.
Interesting. I actually like elf's camo cc cream. I do think the shades are a little off, but I still have a match. I prefer to use this with no primer and less is definitely best.
I just tossed the original CC cream today. I gave it enough tries, but it's just not for me. It was doing exactly what this new one is doing on you. Regardless of the prep I did, it just wore terribly. Thank you for the review!
The original e.l.f CC Camo Cream is a holy grail for me and I was tempted to try this one, but the reviews so far have been very “meh.” I’m fairly oily anyway, so I don’t absolutely need hydration. I appreciate a good liquid blush though and I definitely want to try some of these after seeing you swatch them. Thanks!
Jen, my 150C was exactly like yours. I was shocked! It was orange! I mentioned when I tried it too, lol. But When it went on it didn't look super orange. Very weird though!
Those liquid blushes look really nice on you. Definitely some are more pigmented than others! I wish they were the same pigmentation. I worked with the glow wands and I think I have them figured out lol. Also agree with rare beauty… beautiful colors but I waaay over did it the first few times 😂😂😂 I’ve figured those out too.
Hi Jen, I very much enjoyed watching this video, those elf blushes look so pretty, I hope they come to us in Australia sooner rather than later. Love Katherine xoxo
The camo concealer didn’t work for me back in the day and the hydrating camo concealer with my dry skin was just as dry to me. So I’m not surprised that this cc cream isn’t that hydrating unfortunately 😢
That hydrating camo concealer looked crusty and dry on my combo skin. It looked awful! Really put me off try any of the other camo products besides the powder foundation.
I didn’t care for the original Camo CC cream. Save me some time and money. I love the ELF blushes, so I can't wait to try the new liquid blushes. Thank you for this video.
I like the original Elf CC Cream for the summer with a sponge and the It Cosmetics Glow foundation you are referring to was too much for my skin (it never set down enough for me to be able to get any kind of wear time out of it) so I am looking forward to trying out the new Elf Hydrating Camo CC, then again I’m 28 so I know my skin is different than yours. That’s ok. I’m glad we can all benefit from the information!
I'm super excited to try the new blushes! I just ordered the mauve one along with one of their lip oils which I already know I love. Also ordered the new waterproof formula of their eyebrow pencil and the Sky High mascara in brown. Can't wait to try it all out!
I really like the coral and orange blushes on you - really looked so pretty on you! I would like to try one of the lighter shades as a base for a softer powder blush. Good to know that the blushes dry down. I just never like the ELF Camo foundations. Thanks for your reviews on these!
Thanks Jen for another fantastic review. Those blushes look great, but I will pass on the makeup. I use mineral sunscreen only!. Due to a spot of Skin cancer a few years ago, I will only use Isdin. Thank you for trying out ALL OF THOSE BLUSHES😴🩷👍
Jen, thank you for sharing your holiday with us. I’ve so enjoyed your little boy and his dinosaurs when you come on. I really enjoyed this video and plan to try several of the blushes and the ELF blush. Very pretty shades!
Glad to see that the blushes last, because I just ordered two of them! I'm also going to try the new cc cream I couldn't use the original due to the octinoxate, and the new one doesn't have that. Thanks for the review!
I really hate this confusion around the color mauve. It's supposed to be a cool muted purple, but I've seen such a huge range of colors all claiming to be mauve. This one has to be one of the worst lol it's wayyyyyyyyyyy too warm to be considered mauve
What a year elf has had! I bought three of the blushes and tried one out for the first time today. It was love at first blush, LOL, and I immediately jumped back on the website and got one more color along with some other items that I wanted to try. Thanks for doing this because I got to see how all the colors would look on me because you and I have very similar coloring. xoxo Deb How is your son doing? better i hope!
Thank you for the video! I've been looking for a swatch video of these blushes since I heard about them. You are one of my go-to ladies to get good swatches and reviews. I really trust your opinion on products. Thank for all the hard work that you put in your videos.
The blushes look interesting to me...they look beautiful on you. I'll probably skip the Camo CC. For application I've begun using a slightly dampened sponge on all my foundations as the end result is better for my dry skin. I'm ready for ELF to stop duping so much and come out with some original ideas...I do like a lot of their products but am ready fir some originality.
7:35 I was not a fan of the original Camo CC product so I do not think I would like this one either. Thank you for your reviews! I am excited about the new blushes
I think I will try the blushes and brushes. The lightest peach color blush looks like work when the next color up goes on more easily and seems like the same color without the work. That foundation looks like a bust tho if primer is used might be different but off the bat did not do you chin any favors. WHAT we do without you Jen!!!
I love your brows!! Your shape is so similar to mine.. I am not sure how to fill mine in as good as yours... Thanks for always being honest with us that goes a long way for me personally.. I love elf but have used the last cc foundation and it also looked makeup like and my pores looked super enlarged and it wore horrible thru the day .. I hate I wasted my money on it but ur review of this one saved me 15 dollars lol .. Merry Christmas Jen and happy New Year!! Love your videos.. long time subscriber here from Mississippi!!
Aw thank you! I'm planning to do a video on my favorite makeup that I use every day and I'll share exactly how I do my brows now. It'll probably be tomorrow's video! :)
have been so interested in these blushes thank you for the information x silly question but i don’t like the smell of the Elf camo concealer - do the blushes smell the same ? 😂thank you
I wear the rare beauty liquid blush all the time. I put a dot on the top of my hand and swirl a stipple brush on it. For a bit of a different look I’ll dot in in my leftover concealer I use under my eyes.
Glad for your review of the ELF products. Will definitely get the hot pink and berry cheek colors and pass on the CC cream. Merry Christmas to you and your family.🎄🎄❤️🎄🎄
Okay I watched this. I did not like the original camo cc cream and it does not look like they improved upon it very much. The brushes look GREAT. I like Elf makeup brushes a lot. The blushes....I was really excited about them but there is just a lot of warm tones and browns. Not a whole lot of cool tones, which is what I would need. I am really excited that you put out a video on these! I get excited about new Elf drops, whether I end up liking the products or not- I still get excited about them!
I was also confused about the shades. I was looking at 120N and 205N. Im about your color, and if 120N is a little light for u, I'm going with the 205N. 🙌
Do you have good recommendations for Cc creams for elderly skin? I have combination skin, dry, oily & flakey. Have you tried the Honest co. Cc cream? I would like one that conceals & hydrates without settling into lines or turning oily or Dewey or flaking off. I really enjoy your videos & I appreciate all the time & effort you put into looking into makeup that is good & affordable. For normal people!I love the price on the makeup brushes you shared🥰 Ty so much😊
Loreal has a Bb cream that also corrects for redness. I found it about a month ago and love it. Its very light, and helps with any & all redness on my face. Wish Id had this years ago
Hi Jen, thanks for the video! I hope your son and husband are doing better. And I really like the eye shadow look you did in this video. It's too bad that these new blushes are scented. Otherwise, based on your review, I'd try them!
@@JenPhelps Yes, I did: rosa damascena flower water. I should have said. It's pretty far down in the ingredients list, but it's there. I'm not surprised that you didn't smell it.

I need those blushes!
Oh I agree! It covers but so lightly and you can’t beat the price. I think it’s my #1 find this year, as it was new to me.
That’s a good one.
I am interested in trying it! Can anyone tell me if it has a glowy finish? I prefer matte or satin finish. Thanks for the help! 🩷
WHOA, completely agree that fair cool color is OFF. No one's skin is that color. It's so saturated it is going to look way too dark on any fair person
So bizarre!
How is that a cool shade? That looks really warm.
I have only had TERRIBLE luck buying based off elf product photos just being the worst
So many fair shades are like that too. Like the palest shade shouldn't be piss yellow. 😊
their powder foundation has the exact same problem

I agree. I've been waiting for someone to review the elf liquid blushes. Once I saw Jen's video, I knew it would be useful information.
Dusty rose should be called dusty peach! Even their concealers pull orange on me, so I've always gone to NYX or Revlon for my base.

Coral crush was the stand-out. Just perfection on you!
Love the elf liquid blushes want to try ❤
Glad to see that the blushes last, because I just ordered two of them! I'm also going to try the new cc cream I couldn't use the original due to the octinoxate, and the new one doesn't have that. Thanks for the review!
I tried the new blush (pinky promise) and lip oil (jam session) Love them both! Thanks for the review
on all of the blushes. I’m a new subscriber.
Aw thanks Deb! He's perfect now...I'm so glad he was able to enjoy Christmas!
Thank you for the video! I've been looking for a swatch video of these blushes since I heard about them. You are one of my go-to ladies to get good swatches and reviews. I really trust your opinion on products. Thank for all the hard work that you put in your videos.
The blushes look great! ❤❤
I was just waiting on your review about these, thank you!!
elf runs very warm and orange, im usually like a yellow undertone but with elf i go neutral. Ill deff try this out though.
now I’m more sure about buying the blush, maybe I’ll even get 2 shades soon 😊 thanks for the in-depth review!
Thanks so much for the detailed reviews. Love that you swatched all of the blushes. Super helpful! Thank you!
Comparison with Juvia's, Rare, Moira blushes would be great!
I definitely want to buy a couple of the blushes. I will skip the foundation, but I may try the brushes.
Yay I saw these were coming out and was looking forward to a review from you!
I would try again the elf cc cream with loose powder after the cream and see how it works.
I prefer a damp sponge also but I wanted to try out their new brush!
I love how all the colours looked so good on you ❤
7:35 I was not a fan of the original Camo CC product so I do not think I would like this one either.
The foundation is nice, little shiny, but pretty for sure!❤
The blushes look beautiful and the new brush looks very nice. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!
😂thank you
THANK YOU JEN!!💟💕💄💕💟 I appreciate your review of these.. are the brushes good?? I was wondering.. 🥰♥️💐🎄🎅🙏🏻
Yes! I actually liked the brushes!
OMG I am so excited to see a video on this! It's the first one I have seen!
Do u like the elf blushes more than the juvias and makeup revolution formula?
Is there any color dupe for rare beauty happy?
I wear the rare beauty liquid blush all the time. I put a dot on the top of my hand and swirl a stipple brush on it. For a bit of a different look I’ll dot in in my leftover concealer I use under my eyes.
Okay...I am watching before I buy. As always, I appreciate your time on this. Are you Fair Light or Fair Beige in the Nude Glow?
I'm Fair Light and it's just a smidge too deep for me but once blended out it looks fine. :)
Hi Jen, which do you prefer these or the Moira liquid blush, thx
Glad for your review of the ELF products. Will definitely get the hot pink and berry cheek colors and pass on the CC cream.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.🎄🎄❤️🎄🎄
Thank you for the review! I think I’ll skip the CC cream and try the liquid blushes!
For normal people!I love the price on the makeup brushes you shared🥰 Ty so much😊
Thank you for this review! I had been wondering about these. Also, what brand is your sweater? I love it!
Thanks! It's from Abercrombie but it's a few years old now.
@@JenPhelpsthank you! Also, have a wonderful holiday!
Love your eye shadow!!! Can I ask what you used?
Thank you! It's Colourpop Stone Cold Fox. :)
Loreal has a Bb cream that also corrects for redness. I found it about a month ago and love it. Its very light, and helps with any & all redness on my face. Wish Id had this years ago
You r always reviewing exactly what I want to see ❤❤
Thank you on the info on the blushes. A little goes along way. I love your eyeshadow. What did you use?
It's the Colourpop Stone Cold Fox palette!
Off topic, love your earrings. Even more if there real fingers crossed. Very classic, chic and just timeless
Thank you so much! They're from Rowan...they have really nice classy pieces.
Hi Jen, thanks for the video! I hope your son and husband are doing better. And I really like the eye shadow look you did in this video.
It's too bad that these new blushes are scented. Otherwise, based on your review, I'd try them!
I didn't actually notice a fragrance in the blushes...I'm guessing you saw it in the ingredient list though, that's too bad. :(
@@JenPhelps Yes, I did: rosa damascena flower water. I should have said. It's pretty far down in the ingredients list, but it's there. I'm not surprised that you didn't smell it.
