Thank you for pronouncing yucca correctly!! It's been bugging me that others are not saying it right. The yucca plant grows here abundantly so I've know that plant a while and this palette makes sense in its color story.

0:13 I have a ton of Revlon lipsticks and I love them. My understanding is they are the number one selling lipstick in the United States. So, whether influencers like them or not, consumers are smart enough to pick a Revlon Lipstick @ 9.99 instead of the average lipstick price point being 39.00. Thank you Jen for the information.

Omg I love you for the clarification of yucca. I grew up with my Colombian mother pronouncing it yoo- (or joo) ca and thought everyone was butchering this palette name! I didn’t know the root vegetable was different from the plant! 🌱 😂

Alter Ego has some amazing palettes. My husband got me the Rose Quartz palette for Mother's day. Fairly quickly I had hit pan in several shades. I saw the positive reviews on Coastal so I ordered that along with Midsummer because I was afraid I'd pan Rose Quartz the way I was going through it lol. I swatched some of the special texture shades from Rose Quartz (like Moon Magic) next to the Alter Ego version and asked my husband which one he thought was Huda's. He picked the Alter Ego one. (Used your code too, Jen). I need more Alter Ego palettes lol. Waiting on Pretty Grunge to arrive (Christmas present from my husband). Thoroughly love your channel, Jen. Love that you put awatches in your b roll. Really, really appreciate it.

Thanks for always saving us $$! I honestly don’t see the hype with Natasha formula. I picked up my first pallete which was the I need a nude. I thought the shimmers were super hard panned. Could just be me. But I did pickup the color pop 11:11 & I think it’s way better. Plus with the 3.50 off 15 coupon at Ulta you can’t go wrong!

I will be trying the Milani sticks. I got a Fenty. And while I like it, it’s not living up to the cost. Also. Charlotte T just released a four pan eyeshadow for 75!! FOUR COLORS . Is she ( her company) out of their freaking minds!!!

I don't know how I feel about purposeful dupes. I use them, don't get me wrong. I'm not above it. I'm glad someone mentioned the Nouveau palette. One of my favorites this past year.
I absolutely love the Moira powder, it sits on my under eyes just like urban decays soft loose setting powder does which was my holy grail until they discontinued it

Natasha Denona just had their holiday sale and I picked up I Need a Nude and Yucca for around $45 each. 🤩 Earlier this year I got the Altar Ego Harmony and hated it so I went ahead and got the ND Retro and love it! Who am I? I swore I wasn't going to start buying ND palettes but some of their color stories get me! 😂

This is the video I really needed. I'm looking to add to my makeup collection as I haven't worn makeup regularly in years. So many of the influencers on You Tube talk about the high end brands, which I'll never buy, just too expensive for me. The dupe for Givency is the most exciting one.

I truly love watching Dupe videos whether its from you or other YT influencers. I cannot stress this enough, but there are people who live on short budgets and simply cannot afford to spend alot of money on things like makeup. There is nothing wrong with drugstore makeup or dupes. Personally, I don't think there is a good enough reason for anyone to spend tons of money on any makeup product. If I walk up to someone in a store or someplace else, I'm not gonna know what they're wearing unless they tell me. Without drugstore makeup existing, high end brands wouldn't even have a seat to sit in. We all start out with drugstore makeup as beginners. Brands like Alter Ego prove you can get great products without breaking the bank and if you like it and prefer it, its worth every cent you pay. I'm looking forward to their version of the HB grunge palette. I know its brewing like fresh coffee somewhere. I smell it. I bet they'll do the ND pretty nude palette too.

About the Holiday skin: I bought it because my CT bronze and glow broke. The bronze/contour shade in there leaned very yellow on me. It made me look “bruised”. So I changed my contour to the Physicians Formula Butter contour palette (can’t remember the name right now, but it has 3 powders in the palette) that worked so much better for my skin tone and I still use the catrice highlighter because it is beautiful.
I love that Physicians Formula trio...it's awesome!
I couldn't believe how close that Oden's Eye palette was to Yucca!! I wanted the ND one! Just looked and the ND one is $127 here and the Oden's Eye is $70 including shipping!!
Hourglass has a similar gloss as the flower. It’s my favorite! Slightly plumping, thin and melty.
I know this is really petty, but I’m so glad that you pronounced the Natasha Donna yucca palette correctly. i’m from Southern California and I used to live very close to Yucca Valley and it would drive me crazy when the influencers would pronounce it incorrectly I know that’s really silly lol

I bought the CP Blow N Smoke palette for my friend who is a goth this year and she likes it a lot.
JEN, I hope you see this! I have a fantastic dupe for you, share it with your tribe! First and foremost I'm a huge Chantecaille fan and especially their lippies. Meanwhile, YOU got me to try a bunch of Moira Signature Lipsticks and I love them btw, but when I put on the color Burgundy Noir I stopped dead in my tracks because I knew it looked very close to Chantecaille's Lip Veil in the color Iris. I pulled it out and swiped it on and I could not believe it because it's a 99% spot on dupe, even the formula! When swatched side by side the Chantecaille looks a wee bit pink-ier but on the lips and when you put one on each side and mush your lips together you can't tell the difference. I don't need to purchase Iris from Chantecaille anymore, and I'm going to check the other Moira lippies as I got seven of them. So we'll see if any of them are close to any of the other Chantecaille's I have. Anyway, I just wanted to share that with you, and as always I love your channel, it's in my top 3! Rock on chica! ❤❤❤

17:37 I checked out the Catrice glowy things in person and I wish the pink one was a bit less cool toned - it seems to have a white base. I'm light to medium skintone and only the gold one seems most suitable for me. Which I already have so many times over - bummer!
In the xenon palette I see blues and pinks and like a rose gold color as well
I so wish we had Catrice and Colorpop in Australia.
The elf eyeshadow sticks are amazing. Feel asleep with my makeup on and woke up with my eyelids looking great still lol. 😂 the first few times I used them I didn't think they were that good but they are better when you use them more they get creamier and more pigmented imo. Milani lip oil is an amazing dupe for dior! I love catrice too they do everything well I've tried from them 😊
Those revlon powder blushes have been a top drawer fave of mine for a couple years now!

I LOVE this video concept! and I really like that you highlight 'not a dupe but same effect' products - I feel like there are so many products that people say are un-dupeable, which is maybe true sometimes - but only before application and wear!

has a row of black, Grays and Silvers that creates a nice smokey look for $5 if you don't want to buy the xenon palette. I reach for it all the time and it includes a beautiful hunter green.
Love your alternatives, Jen. There are some brands I just don't buy from for overhype reasons and I can't get behind the price, so it's always great to see shades and formulas that fit the bill if I like the look. 🎉
Loved your video! Price and name do not necessarily mean the best product. There are many dupes that actually are just as wonderful or even better as the expensive product. It pays to give them a try!
I think Odens Eye eyeshadow is better than the ND formula. That Odens Eye pallet is gorgeous. I want it!

WOAH i skipped on Yuca b/c i was thinking it would probably not be the best investment. But i did get the Odin’s Eye and you’re the first person to do that comparison. That was invaluable - thank you!!
I totally agree with you; it's what's on the inside that matters but it drives me nuts when those cheap compacts break and them you're stuck with a product that you have to rubber band just to keep the top on. Brands like Essence and Catrice need to work on their packaging and make it stronger so it can last as long as the product does.

I’m the biggest fan of the Milani shadow sticks. I’ve tried most of the shadow sticks out there, and these are my absolute favorite. I own almost all of them. Highly recommend if you haven’t tried!

I love that Revlon highlighter. Here's the thing tho... I have a friend who's just really getting interested in makeup & I've been recommending things and have been looking all over for Daybreak glimmer and haven't found any of those? (If I remember, there were maybe 3 shades) but even gone now from Ulta.

These are the shades I’ve been using for my favorite winter palette! Nightsky is a beautiful upperlashline liner. Nurture all over crease and lid. Aspiration blow out outer corner
Skift or Snowbow over lid
Ebb just dab a tiny bit in outer corner. Whisper for inner corner highlight. I just can’t quit wearing these shades together for winter!!!!!
