    Thinking of getting one for my swb vivaro for my Fishing / Camping trips. Would you recommend one? Look super simple and easy.

      Yes, absolutely, really is easy to set up, plus seems pretty indestructible, brilliant materials. 👍

    Hi good video, thanks for posting. Whats it like in the wind? I always think these things will flap about and keep me awake at night

      @tapasandfika  Год назад

      It’s pretty good in the wind , you need good pegs to give it a firm hold, we are really pleased with it 👍

    Great video..how wide is it plz from the side of your van

      It’s a good size, just over 8ft along the van and comes out 5ft 👍

    What are those two bungee type hooks along the length of it? I can't find an explanation for their use.

      We put clamps on each end to stop awning sliding 👍

    I am interested in buying this awning but do not want to buy an awning rail, are you able to say how you would lash the awning to the van? (I do have roof bars)

    • @tapasandfika
      @tapasandfika  Год назад +1

      Not sure how it would attach without the rail , the rail is included with the awning so you won’t need to buy separately👍

    Very surprised where you've put your rail. I've put mine out of site under pop top.
    Especially being aluminium colour. Mine is a black rail

    • @tapasandfika
      @tapasandfika  Год назад

      We did consider that but we wanted the ability to put the awning on without popping the top, for quick stops for an hour or so when traveling, like the idea of a black rail, bet that looks great 👍

    What were those suction things?

    • @tapasandfika
      @tapasandfika  Год назад +1

      Got them of Amazon - EYPINS Suction Cups with D Ring is the name of them and they secure the awning in position at top, stop it from sliding about, they work really well 👍

      @@tapasandfika Keder stoppers are what you want for that. They screw into the keder rail. If you have space that is. 🤔

    Maybe swap out guy ropes for small ratchet straps. These awnings catch the wind.

    I like these awnings look like good quality compared to others on market, but I hate the huge logo. They have written their name all along the front. It feels like you work for them.
