Dude your dedication to that build shows! Mad props to you for deciding to chop on this platform! The 04+ Sportsters are definitely often overlooked as “choppable” bikes but this just shows what is possible with the time, dedication and creativity! You’ve got it going on man, keep killin’ it and keep being you! 🔥
I started at the beginning and I hope you're getting everything you wanted to produce going. I'm no builder. Don't have the funds to put together the recipes that are in my head. That being said, you can blame Matt at Wheels through Time, Lowbrow and Hammer Performance for this insane Mashup. Take an 883, add the Hammer 1275. Lowbrow Hardtail AND Springer Frontend. Chain drive conversion if so needed. Add in full fenders, floorboards, split tank and dash, with a POGO seat like the Bikes from the '30'-'50's and a 2 into 1 with a fishtail. They had a style that just can't be beat. There's enough Aftermarket reproduction parts out there I don't believe you'd need any of the unobtainium original parts. Done right you'd have a Modern Bike that would absolutely crush any Retro Style Bike out there IMO.
Thanks man! Just wanna share my knowledge and experience with others so they can feel empowered. And I’m always here to answer questions and help those that need it
I have stock 04 1200 sportster...rubber mounted...with carb...just wondering do you still use the rubber mounts on your chop...are they still built in to the frame as they originally were....nice chop....John...lreland.
Afraid to tell you but chain guards for chain-driven bikes are mandatory in all 50 states a cop can pull you over and give you a ticket for not having one. I had a cop give me a ticket for one and I had to take a Polaroid of the back end of my cs500 to show that I had a shaft drive and not a chain drive. The judge dismissed the case.
@@cornerstonemfg the whole abate chapter was going out for a ride and they were all on their Harleys and I was on my nice quiet Honda with my inspection sticker and everything working of course cuz it was a Honda CX500 . This one trooper went looking in the book and that's how he found the statute about all motorcycles should have a chain guard. I fought the ticket in court with a polaroid of the ass end of the shaft drive and the judge drove a goldwing and he gave the trooper a hard time for making me go to court and gave me his card in case anybody gave me a hard time on the ride home 🏡. That's how I know about this regulation.
Just tossing something out there i just thought of. Ive seen mini light bars that would fit in a bag. Would be cool to make a clamp on bracket and a simple male female plug. At a night ride simply snap on your light bar plug in and blind some fools
Pipe turned out really cool!

I have never heard of that nor anyone being hassled for that to be honest 🤷🏻♂️

Not a bad idea at all! Might explore something soon
Hi, where can I find a handlebar like this? Thanks
They’re factory buckhorns not sure what model HD they’re off of
