A lot of people did not appreciate VOY and I am not sure why. Maybe the plot holes in a science fiction series? Regardless it did have many great bits like this. The one where Janeway is giving a talking down to Torres and then discovers by his own admission that it was Tuvok who was the highest rank in the attempt to use technology they should not have. The way she speaks to him... It's endearing, but also DON'T do that again type of thing. Even if he was doing it for her.
@@tilasole3252 "In light of the fact that you managed to broker peace with the Klingons, Starfleet Command has let you off the hook. Consider that Klingon hangover your punishment -- and don't let this happen again. Next time, it'll be your commission." ~Admiral April (paraphrased)
Janeway’s composure when he told her that is something else, because if you said something like that to Laura Roslin, she would be like out the air lock he goes!
Her face acting was amazing. -This was one of best moments -Her stress appearance in Scientific Method. -Her Speech to the Vidians when she says: "I have a great....sympathy about what your race has endured" in Faces. In one scene compassion, disgust and anger. -Counterpoint when she's explaining her feelings for her opponents.
-Telling Janeway what to do or not do on a good day. Ill advised, but you'll probably get away with it at least once. -Telling Janeway what to do or not do on a day she hasn't had her coffee yet. Straight up suicidal.
Janeway entering Neelix's kitchen is basically walking into Professor Snape's potion room. You'll just never know what concoctions you will find brewing in there.
neelix always manages to prove how spoiled federation citizens actually are. I would have listened to him personally speaking. especially considering the situation of Voyager.
@Dawson Davis all you need with ground coffe beans is add water. Or better yet, replicate a dehydrated concentrate. I dont think they had a lack of hot water
If I were a member of the crew, I'd understand fully that my Captain needs her coffee and wouldn't think less of her for using her coffee rations. So long as they can find constant sources of energy, there shouldn't be problems and she should only have to give up coffee if the ship is VERY low on energy like in season 4 during the demon class planet incident.

"There was no need for you to come to the bridge"
"Yes, there was!"
This is exemplary writing and acting. This was one of my favorite comic bits from Voyager and I wished they had more like it throughout the series.

1:07 - "That would not be appropriate, Captain." For a moment there, I thought Janeway was going to throw Neelix into the ship's brig!
+Roberto De Leon-Gonzalez I agree. Plus Neelix's oblivious reaction made the moment even more priceless.
I have always loved this scene. Only someone not familiar with Star Fleet and its officers would tell the captain what she should and should not do.
Janeway’s composure when he told her that is something else, because if you said something like that to Laura Roslin, she would be like out the air lock he goes!
When Neelix said that I did a sharp intake of breath 0.0
She didn't though he made a excellent point but that said you could tell by his facial expressions that even he hated his own coffee substitute.
This is the reason Voyager was as good as it was.
Mulgrews acting was so natural powerful and spot on

"Bridge to Janeway-"
"ON MY WAY!"
"I beg your pardon?" Damn, I got so scared I wanted to excuse too!
"I don't want something better; I want coffee." Amen.
"There's coffee in that nebula..." :)
She's only ever turned down coffee twice and this was the first haha

Starbucks Voyager with Chef Neelix as employee of the month!
You know your coffee's bad when Janeway doesn't want to drink it.
Too bad. This video was cut right before the epic "There's coffee in the nebula" line.

OMG!!! THAT’s my brother when he wants a Coke and I only have Coke Zero😂😂😂
i agree with him, coke zero is offensive!
Idk why the replicator replicates the water and the mug. It only needs to replicate ground coffe beans

@@dominikdobrotic8298 they mention having "federation rations" which is probably something like an MRE

Yeah but Nelix has a point about setting an example for the crew.

Must be some strong coffee... that, or it wasn't properly filtered. It looked as thick as molasses.
It looked chunky!
It probably was.
It actually looks pretty good. Worth a try at least.
while I did like DS9 more... it was these moments that made me love Voyager.
Nelix have you ever heard the quote. Its a good day to die.
Here Captain, try this. It's called Red Bull.
Bridge to Janeway. Im on my way. There were no need to come to the bridge i was going to ask you stop by mess hall for some coffee.
Thicc coffee hell yeah
Am I the only one legitimately curious about trying Neelix's "even better than coffee" substitution?😅
Neelix trying to get killed
