Love how jealous Chakotay was and how soft Janeway's voice was when she said his name. Such a sweet moment between them 1:00 (and LOL, I love Janeway's sass towards Q)
I love how, after Janeway walks out after her savage line, Chakotay goes to say something to Q and then thinks better of it, bc there's just no following Janeways burn.
The paring was rushed and Forced. When they filmed the episode where 7 and Chakotay are stranded the actors asked if they wanted them to be attracted to each other. They were told no. So they didn't. Then whamo the C/7 bullshit. J/c never happened because Mulgrew did not want it to happen.
I tend to agree with the last comment. Chakotay's words to Kathryn here do tend to IMPLY that his concern is a sexual jealousy BUT ................................... it could also quite reasonably be read as he would be concerned with a virtually all powerful Q being forcing his attentions on a female colleague, whether that's the Captain, B'Elanna or any of the crew under his command. Obviously he works more closely with Janeway than anyone so there is likely to be a more personal interest because they have developed a strong friendship three years into their voyage. Actually the premise of this episode is quite distasteful because, actually if the Q character wanted to mate with her, due to the power imbalance between the two species , there's nothing she could do to stop him. They were very careful to make Q out to be a comical, clueless "Romeo" in this story so as not to raise the implication of a potential rape. And, of course, the inter - Q "mating" procedure turned out to be nothing more than touching fingertips - just to drive the point home and play safe.
I call BS on that. Have you seen what mating actually means for a Q? It is basically touching two fingers that illuminate for a few seconds and... that's just it. It is simply your dirty mind that has influenced such... horrible thoughts.
No, I think Chakotay prefacing his statement with "I know I don't have any right to feel this way, but..." precludes the idea that he is merely concerned with Kathryn's well-being. He said that first because he does feel jealous, and he doesn't have any reason to feel jealous because they don't have a romantic relationship because they defined those parameters a long time ago.
If you paid attention to the episode, you may notice that even though the mating process between the two Q-s was just a merely touching fingers,Q clearly stated to Janeway that he would like to mate with species that can "copulate", so in Janeway's case wouldn't just be " finger touch"..... And Chakotay was damn jealous about Q. It's not just concern for a well-being female colleague on his part. His face can't hide the feeling of jealousy, and he accepts it. If he would be concerned about her just as a female friend, he might have raised his voice against the irresponsibility and the arrogance of " mighty" omnipotent Q beings but not saying to Janeway" I know I have no right to " feel this way", but this bothers the hell out of me"....! He is feeling useless, helpless, and pretty scared that Q would snatch Janeway from him. How can you compete against an omnipotent being species?! It all depends on how strong Janeway is in resisting Q....
Agreed, also that's Q's personality in general, a cosmic annoyance but not really a threat. However I think Chakotay might be jealous or just overly protective of her (although she can handle herself).
See here's the thing. I don't have a problem with the idea of Chakotay and Seven hooking up. The concept behind it is great. However we're missing so much backstory behind it! It's like waking up to find your car has been painted a different color.
There's a great moment in the DS9 blooper reels where Sisko and Q are toe-to-toe and John Delancey says "What are you going to do, ravish me? Oh wait, that's not right..." And Avery Brooks looks him in the eye and says "I might". 😆😆😆
It's one of my favorite scenes the way she cuts him down to size it always makes me laugh my head off. By the way that is so obvious that she and chipotle have an unspoken love for each other it's just so obvious... The little touches the right words there are so many ways and yet it is never ever acted upon except once in the episode I think it's called resolution and I always feel that they should have been left longer on that planet but the writers never think properly and that's very sad and very bad.
Im going to be hated by all Star Trek fans, but for me Picard and Q had a secret love for each other. The sexual tension between the two when they are in the same room, is breathtaking...
Isn't it an insult what Q did about Chakotay's tattoo, as the tattoo is meant to be extremely meaningful for Chakotay???!!! The tattoo is a religious symbol is it not
Imagine being at work, on some idle Monday, when some omnipotent being makes you play some life or death game in sherwood forest, makes your ship hang from a Christmas tree, or torments you for no reason. I love Q, but damn, play some role reversal and it would get annoying freaky fast
Chakotay was so jealous in This episode, I loved it 😂👌🏻
How exactly are you supposed to react to Q wanting to bone your captain? LMAO
Both wanted the sauce
jesse3333 yes, very epic
Hot as hell. Chakotay jealous ❤️
Well of course. He wanted Janeway for himself. 💜♥️💜♥️💜
Not big enough... The look on her face as she said it is priceless. this is why I love her so much.
Q as well, Chakotay wanted to say something, but then realized, that Q's ego went below zero, so he let it go.
Right? It was one of the most awesome moments of Star Trek!
Chakotay: 'Suck it up, dude! That's my girl 😁'
The delivery and the swagger. Burn!
'Not big enough.' Savage!
That's why neither Q nor Chakotay said anything else... they KNEW Janeway had gotten him good.
Love how jealous Chakotay was and how soft Janeway's voice was when she said his name. Such a sweet moment between them 1:00 (and LOL, I love Janeway's sass towards Q)
I wish they ended up together.
Chakotay and Janeway forever!
I just loved them! And Chakotay being concerned! 🙀 Oh lord!!
JenG593 Me to.
Sexy as hell
I love how, after Janeway walks out after her savage line, Chakotay goes to say something to Q and then thinks better of it, bc there's just no following Janeways burn.
Janeway is the one who gets similarly burned later this episode. I won't say who does it, but a puppy is involved.
"I don't think I can improve on that."
I couldn't agree with you more.
@@DrownedInExileNo one could.
It's a good thing Q showed us the tattoo when he said, "Mine's bigger."
The joke! You found it! How?!
Wink wink 😉 😜
Not big enough ... XD! ...
Loved that scene. 😂❤️ Chakotay jealous is so cute. ❤️ At the end: Takes a beath - says nothing and leaves after Janeway 😂❤️ Great!
best pairing ever
A ri I agree. I ships them as Couple and as friends.
Introduction of "Q" in Star Trek was priceless idea, and the performance was ... I laugh every time.
Chakotay and Janeway forever! best pairing ever!!
LOL! "Is it the tattoo? Because mine's bigger!" This was a great scene!
Chakotay: “Q, if you need aloe vera for that burn, sickbay is three decks down.”
This would have been a better pairing than Chakotay and Seven, which seemed rushed and forced.
Agreed
I know right. Like wth.
Read the books...

@@intorainbowzOG no, Kate didn't want her character to have sex on the show. There was no reason not to bring them together at the end.
Q might be obnoxious, but he's always good for a laugh.
Buuuuuurn! The one dislike on this vid is from Q! 😂😂😂
"Mine's bigger" - John de Lancie's delivery of that line was perfect!
Looks like Beltran's holding back a laugh through the entire scenne

Always loved the tattoo part.
He's jealous! :3
my tatoo is bigger! not big enough.. oh my as a child i never thought that maybe they dont mean just the tatoo here...

@@VGamingJunkieVT If she HAD BEEN TALKING about his shlong, he WOULD HAVE MADE it so massive...*
ambrosia1111 I missed it to as a child.
Tattoo envy 😂
Love how Janeway yawns "Come in."🥱 Chakotay's probably thinking "Oh, someone's still half asleep." as he comes in lol
Notice how Chakotay wanted to say something about Q's tattoo and was like, "Not worth it"
Sisko might have hit Q but it was Janeway who got the burn on Q lol,Chakotay just had the look of « geee get the heck out of here» at Q lol

The last episode should have been got back to earth then Janeway and Chakotay get married

Chakotay's face at 1:23.
I miss when Janeway's ready room was lit like this, are we at a house tour or something
lol Q is the best
Got some bright lights on that ship.
Chakotay: "I don't think I can improve on that!"
OMG so funny :)
Gotta love Janeway she's a sponk something.
I still dont understand why Chakotay ended up with Seven of Nine instead with Janeway
Chakotay was thirsty!

Picard debates him
Sisquo decks him
Janeway sasses him
I love it
How in the hell do the Qs show up without making a sound?
He often did that in TNG
Q was playing with the lighting to I suspect very bright
The meme brought me here.
Which?
The tattoo is Big Enough.
de Lancie is even taller than Beltran, and Beltran is pretty tall
She should have just gone for it. Qs kid ended up being super cute and a good boy, and they’d have made back to the Alpha Quadrant a lot quicker.
Here’s the thing at what point did he tell his feelings about her for her to react that wat when he gave the look at 1:23 did i miss something
In the episode resolutions he uses an old Indian tale to tell her he loves her. This is just a few episodes later.

Commander chakotay should pisses me off
I loathe Q. I wish he could have been destroyed. Seeing Janeway treat him so well in this episode was nauseating.
