FIRST TIME WATCHING The Mandalorian and Reacting to this brilliant episode revealing our favorite Jedi was just such an emotional experience. I loved this show so much and I really hope we get more from Pedro Pascal, Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau and the whole team.
**A lot of you are pointing out many of the toys and memorabilia surrounding me during this reaction. Just to be clear, we have always had much of this paraphernalia featured in my videos, rotating things in and out as we better figure out how to use the space, but Star Wars, Tim Burton and Aliens have been mainstays for many of my videos. That Luke figurine has been featured many times before as well. A lot of times I forget what is even back there as filming the videos is always my primary concern. So yeah... Luke and the lightsaber are a happy coincidence for this video. Thank you for watching!**

*** Some of you have pointed out the toys and memorabilia surrounding me during this reaction. You must be new here, as I have always had most of this paraphernalia featured in my videos - specifically Star Wars, Tim Burton and Aliens paraphernalia. These are mainstays in the majority of my videos. That Luke figurine has been featured many times before as well. A lot of times I forget what is even behind me, as filming these videos is always my primary concern. So yeah...Luke and the lightsaber are a happy coincidence for this video. Also, while I have loved Star Wars since I was little girl, I will probably always be somewhat of a Padawan - always learning from the incredibly dedicated Star Wars fans. I respect and admire the people that continually teach me about the SW Universe and remind of things that I have forgotten over time - like the color of Luke's lightsaber. I had forgotten that he was the only one that has a green lightsaber. Additionally, I didn't even know that Luke was the only one that flies an X-Wing. It's been a long time since I saw the OT. However, they remain three of my favorite movies of all time, because of the powerful impact they had on me as a kid. This episode brought me back to when I was 10 years old, when I first saw the OT. Seeing Luke in all of his glory in this episode - as the powerful Jedi I knew he would become - was a huge victory and it hit me hard. I feel like we never got that after ROTJ. But with this last Mandalorian episode, we finally did. To me, that was a long time coming and it was an incredible experience for me, on a deep, deep level. I am really grateful to Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau for this. Lastly, thank YOU all for being here. Happy holidays - love to you all. ***

1977 I graduated High School and worked at Disneyland. A buddy and I went to see a movie after work and there was this long line going around the building. Someone called my name and it was another friend of mine from my Animation and Cartooning class. He said he just got out of this movie and wanted to see it again. I asked when and I'd go with him. He said "NOW!" My other friend and I looked at each other, maybe wondering if Mike was nuts or something. There were six tickets left, we bought three of them we were the last people to enter the theater and I sat in the very front row on the left side of the theater. We watched Star Wars for the very first time.
I did not realize at the time how that film defined my youth. We would stay up all night outside the theater to be the first in for the sequels. Some of my fondest memories are of those nights talking to other excited fans. You meet some very interesting people when you camp out waiting for a movie. We had one Scientologist believing I was Timothy Leary. I took his questionnaire and used his name. That was FUN!
I'm 61 now, the new movies are technical marvels but I could not connect with the story. I live for Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve films, Westworld, Stranger Things and Game of Thrones.
The world of entertainment has turned grey to me, 2020 has left me feeling very down and I feel like no one gets my sense of humor any more. Too old to be funny, I guess.
Seeing Luke Skywalker take down his hood brought me back to the way I felt when I was a kid in that front row seat. I got chills, I had tears, I felt like I was a kid and anything in the world could happen.
It could have been the worst CGI ever or even another actor. playing Luke with a bad french accent. The STORY brought Luke into this TV series and he fit right in. Fan service? May be. But it was fan service that fit into the puzzle of The Mandalorian like the last piece that completes the puzzle.
I'm ready to dump a box of pieces on a table and start next year's puzzle.

    As for this episode:
    To paraphrase Obi Wan Kenobi:
"I just felt a disturbance in the Force...as if Star Wars fans across the generations suddenly cried out...in joy."
Luke's return was that of a legend, a true hero. He may not be the hero we deserved, but he is the hero we needed.

It is important to comment on Cara Dune, Fennec Shand, Bo-Katan, and Koska Reeves’ amazing take down of the Imperial Light Cruiser crew. They were awesome! I loved seeing it!! They were introduced and built to be a dream team of heroes who kick butt with the best of them through compelling storytelling. I expect no grief from naysayers that this was some kind of SJW concoction or ploy because it was solid storytelling. I always felt bad for the actresses who played Rey and later Rose in the Sequel Trilogy, because it was the writers and directors who failed the actors with lazy and uncompelling storytelling . . . not any effort, which would be totally justified, to allow strong female protagonists to shine . . . like Ashoka Tano . . . or Princes Leia.

This was one of the best episodes. A story is compelling when it makes you feel things, and this did that in spades. I'll miss the show so much and I hope Din and Grogu are reunited someday. Your reactions have been great to watch and really capture how a lot of us feel about this show.

Thank you so much 💛. This show did it for me...you're right, a story is compelling when it makes you FEEL things. I felt so many emotions on a deep level. This show is amazing. And this last episode totally exceeded my expectations. I still can't stop thinking about it. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me 🤗✌🏼💚

Back in the day, Dark Troopers were armored with a material called 'Frick', which was resistant to blasters/lightsabers. I'm presuming they're plated here with some diluted alloy, beskar+durosteel or somesuch.

Thanks for the reaction Kazzy! It was great seeing you go through the same journey we all did (from chapter 1 all the way to chapter 16). For me this show is the best piece of Star Wars I've experienced in a long time. The moment the X-wing appeared and we saw a hooded figure on the camera feed, gave me goosebumps lol.
I still can't believe Ming-Na Wen (who plays Fennec) is 57 years old! She's rocking it better than most 20 year olds. Both in her martial arts skills and looks 8-)
Oh and I'm firm believer that you should be able to freely express yourself in your own videos, whenever the urge hits you. It won't harm anyone nor take away anything from a genuine reaction :P

    • @KazzyCreates
      @KazzyCreates  4 года назад +2

Thank you so much for you kind words!!! It was the EXACT SAME FOR ME. The MOMENT I saw the X-Wing and the hooded figure, goosebumps ran all over my body. IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE. I already had tears at that point and I didn't even know it was LUKE yet!!
I know, I know, I should have known it was him because of the X-Wing and also the green light saber. But I had forgotten that Luke is the only one that has a GREEN light saber. And I didn't even know that he was the only person that would be flying an X-Wing. I have forgotten A LOT of things over the years. It's time for me to re-watch the OT, ahaha :-D

Kazzy I've been checking my RUclips notifications several times a day since Friday evening excitedly waiting for your react to this Mando finale haha. And it was well worth the wait. Your reactions are so genuine and expressive, and I can't wait to see more! I feel like this Mandalorian episode was a masterpiece, and I cried watching it too the first time, (as well as the other three times I've rewatched it since it came out on Friday hehe). Something I think about every time I watch your react video is the power of storytelling, and the impact and inspiration it can have. Like what a crazy year 2020 has been, full of heartbreak and hard times. And each new heartbreak that has come in 2020 has hit as hard as those Dark Troopers punching down the door, seemingly unrelenting, and seemingly hopeless. But we all know now how it ends, that while the pain and heartbreak my seem like it will destroy us and break us down, with no hope at all of getting through this...well let's just say this Mandalorian season 2 finale, and people's reaction to it, such as yourself, has given me so much hope.

Well said regarding the sad passing of original Star Wars saga greats!!! Also, thanks for sharing your enjoyment of this series with us! It added much value to the experience. Lastly, that punk Imperial shuttle pilot truly was an awful character to incite a bloodlust reaction from you; he deserved what he got!!! Love your show!!!

These two characters plus LUKE SKYWALKER will always be remembered by our generation as the new generation, hoping that the next generations will see these two seasons and be touched as we were.
