Hello! Thank you for this very helpful video, first of all! Seeing a realistic update really helps with deciding on the designs. Secondly, I wanted to ask if you had to pay a customs fee and if so, if it was a lot? I'm a bit scared I'll be miscalculating the real costs of this haha.
it depends on your countries tax regulations. In germany we have the Taxes on normal stuff of usage wich is 19% and then we had to get a fee for the costum people for handling the case. all in one I was about 80-120€ for importing a 600€ value.
Well as practioner it´s quite difficult to hear themself in relation to others, but I thing it´s quite good. Of course it´s depending on your technique. On the website of tozando you can change the currency of your cart. The have EUR, USD and Yen.
Not surprised too see you Karl because your into all thing Edged and Katana, his balde has held up nicely for it first year in the Dojo . I saw his first video and for a blunt practice sword that he paid $544.94 or so for and had a few customized handle and blade lengths request it's well made. 🦈🦈🦈
Well I practice MJER from the Esaka Line in Germany. But for the reviews my intend is to inform viewers who isn‘t necessarily used to know the Japanese expressions. This applies more to the Shinken as to the Iaitos but I try to be consistent.😉
it is a iaito training sword not ment for being used for cutting purely a training weapon they do have antique shinken a you can get a costom shinken made by them but would cost over 4k
I doubt that any colorized same or painted kashira/Fuchi Gane will stand the Human sweat during serious training. It’s no matter of quality or manufactor, I‘ve seen a lot of Iaitos with these marks. The only thing to avoid this is to order Full silver decorations and white Same.
@@teofiloljubisavljevic7943 Don´t know. If it´s really silver it would be more durable as the regular painting, but it depends on the thickness of the silverlayer. But I would also buy silver coated decoration the next time.
I got the semi custom byakko all plumb blossom design.
Can't wait!
Your video gives me a good idea of what it's gonna look like.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for sharing. I was considering buying from them
Very nice iaito, thanks for sharing
Me encanta!!!

@@talesoftheblades3289 Vielen Dank für die Antwort!! Was für ein Zufall, na dann weiß ich ja was auf mich zukommt! :)
Very nice! I will definitely be ordering from Tozando. How is the tachikaze? Is it very loud? And how much did you pay? In USD?

What school do you practice in? And why not use the proper names for sword parts?

@@talesoftheblades3289 Thank you for your reply. I apologize as after reading my post it came off as rude. That is my school as well.
can you buy a battle ready with a cutting edge sharpened sword from them ?

Yeah, prices start at 7500 USD
how much should iaito cost on average ?
Depends on the quality and extras. Something between 300€-600€ is thinkable, but the average good Iaito could be about 400-500€
玉鋼を刀匠が鍛えて作ったモノを刀と言います
That’s a Iaito made of an aluminum/ zinc alloy.. no Tamahagane
Its probably a jisei product which is cheaper compared to minosaka. Minosaka products are more durable.

@@talesoftheblades3289 are silver plated options gonna do the same?

居合刀は刀ではありません
For 614 usd it should still be in about that good of shape. Post another vid after 10 years.
