  • 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Rear Door Panel Removal. My car is a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 L Hemi V8 4wd but it is all the same for the jeep models listed above. The door panels make a loud noise when removing them so don’t be alarmed. Don’t force anything. If you have any questions please ask in the comments.

You don't need to remove the door handle bolt only the screw. The bolt holds the handle housing to the door panel which can all come off together. Just disconnect with wiring harness when you take off the door panel.

This is going to help me so much! Any idea where I can order the lock stud at the top that goes up and down with the lock unlock? My kid broke it off!

I'm surprised it was this easy. It always seemed way more difficult in the past. I found that the ONE little screw in the handle, threaded into more plastic, seems extremely cheap-ass. I remember inside door handles being held on with 2 large lag screws into metal.

Yeah, cars nowadays are designed with about a 15 year lifespan in mind. The cheap plastic will only get more brittle with time.

    Thank for making this video!
Why were you removing this panel?
The reason I ask is because my Driver Rear Window wont go down, wondering if you're having window issues as well

Oddly enough, I took the panels off my car to install soundproofing material. Unfortunately, windows use a scissor lift type mechanism that is hard to access and repair. I would recommend taking to a mechanic; for all we know it could be a faulty switch.

      @@ShanePercefull thanks for the reply!!
I'm avoiding the mechanic! But sounds like I gotta bite the bullet on this one!

It's hard to remember, but I would say that is probably the case

The video is dark … Once the panel is removed, can you access the inside of the door itself to push out a small dent?

    • @ShanePercefull

The inner skin is in the way. If you take off the pannel and then take out the speaker you may have some luck. It will be very limited access tho. try your best to get the dent out with hot water and a suction cup of some sort. Harbor Freight has lots of tools for this.

Thank u!! I tried the glue stick method with no luck - the dent is so small it pops out and then pops right back in, so on to plan B.
