I’ve always said there are intended players for specific systems, and Westbrook is finally home in a system that can use his skill. Yes and i'm not sure why Coach Malone didn't do that from the start. I understand the team wants to develop Strawther but his defense is atrocious and his minutes should be reduced. Jokic, Gordon, MPJ, CB, Murray, and Russ should all be the 30+ min players. Next up should be Watson at 20+ Everyone else between 12-18 mins. He also has to play Jordan at least some of those non Jokic minutes because they get dominanted on the boards with Jokic off the floor. Once Gordon is back, they can play some Gordon at the 5 minutes but that should be more of a changeup......play the real center and then you can play Nnaji, Cancar, Watson, Tyson, or Saric next to him......all of them can spread the floor so you can have Russ and Jordan on the floor together and as we have seen, Russ and Jordan love playing together, go watch the film with Jordan and Russ on The Lakers. Russ feeds the big man. Strawther should be playing less until his defense improves but the reality is The Nuggets need an experienced veteran shooting guard.
The one knock on Braun is in transition. He never makes the right play he typically always tries to finish instead of passing it back when there’s an advantage. Besides that he’s been great. I know this was a Westbrook highlight but noticed Braun doing that again lol smh
