For some reason, the pink Maui Moisture stripped my hair way more than a sulfate shampoo :( I had straightened my hair a few days before I washed with that shampoo and brushed it every day....even with hair coming out over those days, I lost more hair when I washed with this shampoo than any other time, like half a handful :( I didn't have a problem with the orange-ish colored one for curly hair, though. My hair is a looser pattern than yours.

Get a decent shower cap, also make your own, if you have more (longer) hair. Slather Hellmann's Olive Oil mayonnaise from root to tip. Comb through. Cover overnight. Wash as usual, no need for extra conditioners, softness lasts for days, 3-4 washings remove it.
I use a small amount of the Maui moisturize hibiscus conditioner as leave in! 🤭 🙈lol also as soon as I get any bottle of their product I immediately turn it upside down. I agree with you their packaging is ridiculous. But starting upside down and leaving them that way does help

I've seen the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus line recommended a lot but I didn't have a lot of luck with their Raw Shea Butter line, the shampoo didn't clean my scalp good enough and the conditioner didn't have enough slip to detangle, and now I'm reluctant to try them...Any thoughts?

I can't speak for her but I have multiple different things around at all times and choose what I use by assessing how my hair has been. I have 3a-3c, medium porosity, coarse hair and it loves to bounce between demanding moisture and demanding protein so having options is a big deal for me to always feel prepared to help it out.

Thank you! I would say they can be on the heavier side so some lines are made for more corse hair and can weigh our hair down. They have a chart on their website I believe that shows the best line for you hair type that’s super helpful!

@@an4082 if you are okay with sulfates, I use the Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo once a month.

You can also try a clarifying wash if you feel it might be weighed down😊

I changed shampoo and conditioner and my curls have fallen 😭. Why. I am not changing shampoo so quick.
Sometimes the ingredients can be too heavy for your hair or it just takes a little while for your hair to get used to the new shampoo :/

I actually wouldn’t suggest using Tresemme. The ingredients arent great for your hair and can dry it out over time☹️

The Maui moisture has made me loose my hair.
I don't recommend using protein hair products all the time because it can have protein overload and ruin your hair.
I would suggest you look into fortified shampoo for fast hair growth.
Everything some cool but you left out Curlysmith products.
