If you could get a battery charger on your battery and have it fully charged it could get you to the next shop. Alternator is just not charging it. Battery is ok. So it needs to be done that way. Don’t run air, radio anything not necessary. Battery will last little while to get you to next place.

Yeah! I'll get the paperwork from the shop on Monday. 2k is just insane. I can ship the car back and fly myself for half the price lol The shop is new. We're still figuring out a name haha but I'll get you an address if you're serious about bringing it by.

We just can’t afford to take it to Lexus of concord. They take steps just to get to the main problem. We got it repaired but we’re just looking for a shop to do standard maintenance upkeep.
Sorry about your car troubles. Do you think financially better to rent a car vs drive 8 hours using your car causing wear and tear as well as possible car troubles? FYI, state farm car insurance gives unlimited towing capabilities without extra charge. Do you think Disneyland would be less crowded after next week once all the kids are back to school? @cubid100 I'm driven down at least a couple dozen times. Out of all the times I driven down, this is my second car issue. I was hoping that after buying a new car, I wouldn't have any issues for awhile! But I guess not lol Usually once the kids are in school, the parks are a lot less busy, but as of the last couple of years, there really isn't a slow time. I will say, though, I was really surprised how slow it was between 10pm-12am on Thursday night. Friday was back to bigger crowds. It may be a little slow before the holiday season with Halloween and all.
I know you’re in a pinch but next time just tow it to the Toyota dealership even if it’s 5000 past warranty they will still honor it if you are persistent an alternator should not go out before 100 K

Following to know what happened with the car… I run a shop in SJ and cannot believe someone could do that job for $500…. The alternator alone must cost that much wholesale… I would want OE parts on a car like that for reliability….
@@andrewnmontemayor At orielly or autozone sure but i do not trust an ultima or duralast reman to keep anyone on the road for long… Those parts are always a last resort and who is doin this job for what, $200 labor?
