I may just be confused, but you state in this video that 上班 shang ban is a verb. But how then can we say “I take the bus to work.” 我坐公交车上班，Please explain. 谢了
yes 上班is a verb. 我做公交车上班，or 我做公交车去上班。
How about “ban zhuan”? Or, is that a colloquial expression?
haha, I m surprised that you know this slang, ban zhuan (carry bricks ),it's an Internet slang word, means tiring ,repeating and few -paid job, this word is popular among young people, but not universally understood. I think it also has some meaning in gamer 's world which I don't understand. 😲

hello Monique, Let's analyze,基础 literally means the foundation of the buildings ,so it emphasize that it's the base of the things above, 初级 literally means beginning level, so it emphasize that the level . besides, 基础can be a noun, like, 我的汉语基础很好，but 初级 is not a noun. 🤗💙
