People calling ds cheating is so funny. It's like people on the midnight club games calling double shifting and two wheeling cheating. Beating motorcycles on midnight club using a 69 dodge challenger 3 classes below the motorcycle really pisses people off.
@@NikaGelovani if it takes no modification of the software or hardware, then I'm sorry, that's not cheating. It's strategic. Same thing for two wheeling and "double clutching" on midnight club. Unless you're teleporting to the end of races and such.... Calling strategies, like what's in the video, "cheating" is a stretch.

A reasonable question is, which technique is better? In speedruns, obviously no-one uses both of them because of the Stability Control difference ("Off" for DT and On for "DS"). Looks like DS is better, since you don't have to release the gas pedal, but in both cases you still loose speed.
Yeah, you are right. I think it depends on the driver and track. Tracks like PR, or Stadium you can achieve the same time not matter which technique. Tracks like Olympic Square you are faster with DS, because you can control the drift better in the first corner, and come out with more speed

Real players play with KEYBOARD and no such glitch techniques. Thank you for the explanation it was really helpful to me to understand how most of the records are achieved.
The game can feel sometimes feel laggy, depending on the car and if you have stab on or off. Try with an RX7 and Stab off, should feel more direct, while e.g. a Neon feels more delayed/laggy
@@DanielCarter1615 Using the steering wheel disables the steer smoothing in the game. That's probably why it's not easy to do this on the controller. I've actually disabled steer smoothing on gamepad but I hadn't tested this at all.

Mhh, not sure about transmission unique. Sometimes it feel like weight reduction unique makes it a little bit easier

How did you get your steering wheel to work soo good? I have a fanatrc wheel and seems to be off on the steering"lag/delayed" thanks for your video

Theoretically it should be possible. But in practice no one was able to pull it off on gamepad yet, since the angle seems to be to precise.
