I am practicing this for a college audition and just to get better and this is so helpful. This guy is a great tuba player. One thing most people don’t know is how beautiful the tuba can be and what an amazing sound it can make

​@@statyk2289 play more relaxed and dont tense up, make sure you get the air going too, not just the vibration or it'll be fuzzy or unclear 👍🏼

@@statyk2289 Do octave jumps. I know there's a high C on the first page so let's start there. Start by playing the C below the staff then move up to the one in the staff. Then if you can try to hit C and above the staff. However, if you find it quite difficult to even hit and or maybe sustain; focus on hitting lower notes like the A & B and above the staff. When you can at least hit them practice sustaining them. Don't tense up, relax and remember to keep pushing the air. Also, use a turner.
If this doesn't exercise doesn't work out I suggest you ask your, director or maybe ask anyone fond of brass instruments preferably more than me.
