    Having taken apart joycons before, I can appreciate the sheer amount of time it took to do all of this. You're a stronger person than me. Great work!

    Since posting this video and tracking with the comments, I have learned that the boards are coded to match the color of the shell on each Joycon, which will make your Switch correctly identify the color of Joycon that connects to it. I did not take this into account during this project. I will (at some point) get around to taking these all apart and rematching, though I doubt I will film that process. I apologize of the oversight, and appreciate the community for pointing it out. I hope you all learn from my mistake :)

      Joy-con Toolkit should let you restore color flags, either from a backup or by setting custom ones. It might be worth a try?

    • @bson5192
      @bson5192 10 месяцев назад +12

      Yes you absolutely don’t need to switch the boards. I customize my joycons and you can easily change the colors on the computer. It takes all of a minute

    As an advocate or reduce, repair, recycle and reuse, I love your videos. As for the longer uncut/unedited videos, that sounds like a good idea. Maybe at some point, a 2nd channel, if the effort and returns justify each other?

    I find your vids are so relaxing and chill. I would totally watch a 3+ hour vid of you disassemble and clean. But maybe have some slight background music just to keep the chill vibe. Like wind blowing or trees rustling. Keep up the solid work man! 😀

    If someone gave me a box of Joy cons to test out, take apart, clean and reassemble I'd be the happiest person alive. It's one of those things I get a ton of enjoyment from.
    Also, reassembly ASMR is very welcome.

    For those very small pieces and maybe even overall all of them. You can get those mesh laundry bags for clothes and put them in there and straight into the wash machine. There are safety latches in them so they don't open during wash. I use those for my clothes but also have a separate pair for things like this. Specially Lego's. I bought a large lot of 5000+ and used those to wash them. Saves time and also does a better job overall. Maybe a little spot wipes here and there after and then leave out to further dry.

      @@RestorishOfficial Ye, I've read about it in the comments. I mean there is a way to just change the assigned color via software, but you'd have to find out the exact RGB/Hex codes of the colors that Nintendo used, and then of course the serial numbers wouldn't match the color assigned to them. But that shouldn't be a problem as long as Nintendo doesn't find out lol
