  • Spay Day on June 8, 2024, was a record-breaking success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of everyone involved during our first mega TNVR event of 2024.
669 cats received free TNVR surgery, including 380 females spayed and 289 males neutered.
7 special surgeries, including tail amputation, enucleation (eye removal), and hernia repair.
10 veterinarians, 12 University of Florida veterinary students, and over 40 veterinary technicians worked alongside us to perform surgeries.
76 volunteers, including group volunteers from The Breakers and Americorps, worked alongside 100 Peggy Adams staff members with duties throughout the event, including check-in, surgery prep, instrument sanitization, cat and trap organization, recovery, and much more.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event possible! Whether you donated essential supplies, volunteered your time, or brought in cats to be spayed/neutered, your support was crucial in achieving this tremendous impact.

What is TNVR? Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) is a program in which free-roaming cats are humanely trapped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies and other feline viruses, microchipped, and then returned to their outdoor homes. TNVR is the least costly, most effective, and most humane way of stabilizing and decreasing community cat populations. Learn more about TNVR and its impact on our community at peggyadams.org/tnvr.
