    I've been watching and reading so many reviews for the chef's table over the last few months. I must say, this is hands down, the best review I've seen! Not too long, totally focussed, amazing pictures, and you even addressed all the questions I could think to ask! Amazing! Thank you so much!

    Did the Chef's Table at V&A's last year for my dad's birthday. It was great. The food was paired so well and everything was amazing. Same Chef, as she has been there for a few years, if I remember correctly. We were also completely stuffed by the time the chocolates rolled around. I do agree that it would have been nice to have some changes to the menu for the Chef's Table over the main dining area. It's basically a change in scenery, albeit more casual. Neat experience though. I would love to go back again to eat in the main dining room sometime.

    Looks like you all had an amazing meal! That ravioli just made us both drool. Sorry we couldn't see all of your facial reactions at the chef's table, but thank you for giving us a recap of the meal! And love your perspective on chef's table versus the dining room... great tips!

    Great video guys, very informative, and well done! Especially considering you weren't allowed to film, and only take pictures.. My wife, and I are going to Victoria, and Alberts in a month or so, and this was very helpful to know what to expect. Thanks!

    Loved this (as I do all your videos). Thanks for putting together with pictures. So interesting to hear your take on chef’s table vs. dining room. I’ve only done chef’s table (I know how lucky I am and how pretentious that sounds 🙂). I generally like the more casual vibe and as a cooking show nerd really love interacting with the chefs but hadn’t considered the perhaps more elevated and refined dining room experience. I will have to give that a try as well! Everything looked so delicious!!!

      It was incredible, food was absolutely delicious as it always is. Yes, if you prefer something a bit more casual and want to see how the kitchen operates this is definitely the way to go! Really, thinking about it, you can't go wrong with Victoria & Albert's! Thank you so much!!!

    Love your vlogs. I agree with you guys. Great experience and a memorable culinary odyssey... My husband and I went to V&A’s in 2016 and sat in the QV room. Thought the attention paid to us was unrivaled. The flatware and stemware services were completely changed with each course. one set of china was more beautiful than the next. I can imagine the chefs table would have taken you out of that more formal experience a little bit. We actually considered that before going. We did the extra courses, wine pairing, and a beef upgrade. That was the most expensive meal we have ever eaten but it was worth it. Headed back there in December. If you’re looking to go back we would love to meet you for dinner! We feel like we know you guys LOL. oh yeah, that bourbon drink looked pretty wild!

      We LOVE the Queen Victoria's room, that is probably our favorite way to experience V&A. Thank you so much, glad you enjoy the videos!! LOL, you don't have to twist our arms to go back to Victoria & Albert's!!

    I love you guys more and more every time I see a video!! After your help with the last V&A video, I believe the wife and I are going to ATTEMPT to get the chef's table for our visit in August (just b/c it is more of a relaxed atmosphere... and my wife can grill the chef's for tips and tricks in the kitchen). Do you guys have an tips on how to score this coveted reservation? Should I just be ready to dial on repeat and send a prayer out there? LOL
    Once again, love you two! Thanks for the honest feedback on this table. It's exactly the info I have been curious about. Thanks so much!

      So glad you liked the video and found the information helpful. Ok, so....this was a VERY difficult reservation to secure so I would make sure you jump on this asap!!! In the process of making this reservation, we would eventually find out that this experience is primarily filled by locals as there is always a waitlist and oftentimes the openings don't pop up until a day before, or day of. This was unfortunate news for us to hear as we are not locals, we needed to make travel arrangements, babysitting plans, etc. and we NEEDED a confirmed reservation. It took a lot of back and forth but we eventually secured a reservation, but our dinner was on Jan 20, we made the reservation back in July!! It was crazy lol, but well worth the struggle and wait. Hopefully, you can get a spot, it was amazing!!
      Thinking about it, it definitely wouldn't hurt to get a reservation in the dining room, but then ask at the same time to be put on the waiting list for chef's table, that way even if chef's table is full, you'll still get a regular table. Thanks again, and good luck!!

    Why are you drinking champagne in open glasses instead of flutes? Those glasses are 1950s- they allow the bubbles to dispense too quickly!

    • @TheMagicDads
      @TheMagicDads  4 года назад +1

      Agree lol!! We prefer flutes much more.
