Is this my first new reel in 15 years I'm happy with it so far. Can't wait to get it all together and use it. The best ball bearing is ceramic only for me I'll change out all the bearings out for ceramic bearing. Very easy to do it.

Your channel is full of great information, and I can get some sense of this watching your tournament vlogs, but cool to see you talk directly to that point. (That being said... IDK if it would make a super popular video)

I’ve been considering getting one of this Lew’s model, even with owning some of Lew’s more expensive reels (one Pro-TI and two Tournament MP Speed Spools). It’d be interesting to see you compare some different Lew’s models side by side, and show how adjusting mag and centrifugal controls impacts casting. It might help folks debating between reels decide on a model. A video explaining how and when each controls spool speed might help newer anglers also.
Recommendations about sponsor products don’t really bother me in most instances. In a case like your channel, Lew’s and Strike King have supported you for a good amount of time, plus you clearly use the products. Your genuine enthusiasm for their products shows. One interesting thing about Lew’s reels I learned at a fishing expo was that all the reels in the SLP line handle the same range of lure weights: it isn’t necessary to get a super expensive reel in order to toss a small crankbait or jerkbait. The differences are in reel materials, bearing quantity, and braking systems. In other words, the Classic Pro should theoretically cast the same lures as a ProTI, assuming that the caster has their braking and spool tension set right. It’s nice that they deliver that sort of performance across all their price points.
I think where people get upset is when content creators clearly do NOT use a product or constantly switch what they call “the best” due to changing sponsorships, especially when these deals aren’t mentioned. These sales pitches just ring hollow, particularly when those items never appear in any other videos.

Recently found this channel and have probably watched at least 10 videos over the last week. I really enjoy the content. I am relatively new to bass fishing and I find your videos very informative. You really break down every step and I find that very helpful. I live in the west Texas area the places we have to fish are impounded reservoirs. There isn't very much grass but there are a lot of cattails. The shore line mostly consists of cattails up close then a shallow rocky area that drops off fast. Also we have a spill way with a rocky shoreline that drops off to 19ft as soon as 10ft from the shore. We have some stripers in there too. I would like to here you opinions on these topics. Other than that thanks for the content and keep up the great work!

Love the lews reels, started off with a kast king and a picsun reel and have to say those reels cannot compare to the quality and performance you get from a $60 Lews reel. I currently have 4 of the lews American Hero reels and love them and another lews reel not sure the model but they all cast amazing and almost never backlash. Lews has a customer for life, in my opinion can’t beat what they give you for the money.

Starting to be a believer in LEWS products and learning how to transition from spinning to baitcasting so that I can benefit from using a baitcaster. One question as a new angler to bass fishing and it may be kind of a stupid question but what is the proper way to match hooks and hook types/sizes with your baits or is it all preferences and do you also consider the species that you're after? I am definitely a budget angler at the moment.

Great video! You may have already done a video like this and I just have not seen it yet, but I would like to see a video on rod selection vs the type of bait you are wanting to use.

fishing litterly saved my life. thank you for all the tips and trick videos you create for us! I litterly use them on the fly, out on the lake at Fort Campbell, maybe a video on spinner baits, how to use them and what colors are best for the different seasons.

I love this reel and I have a shamano slx DC and still see myself grabbing this as one of my favorites and the price is great! My only complaint is how it flexes, but no complaints have even pulled 4 ponders on a frog out of some nasty slop

Never used a bait caster but I've been thinking of getting one. Prolly get the Lews Custom Pro after seeing this vid. I find your videos very informative. I live in PA but taking a trip to the St. Lawrence later this month. An October ST. Lawrence vid would be great before the trip but this doesnt give you much time.LOL. Thx for you videos and God bless

I've got a few Lew's graphite frame reels and they're great, but after frog fishing for a season sometimes things in the reel can get out of place because graphite isn't quite as strong as aluminum on those hooksets, so it'll get less smooth and feel/sound slightly grindy. But that was just one reel 🤷🏼‍♂️

I totally agree, I have some that are allot expensive and I enjoy throwing this reel just as much.

Tyler, can you do an in-depth video on fishing the chatterbait: when to use white over GP, chatterbait weights, trailers, rod/reel/line set up etc. Keep up the good work and great content!

Are there particular color jugs that you should use for autumn fishing? Or do you use live bait?
