He took all his skill points out of Problem Solving and put them into Perform: Comedy.
Same reason he thought throwing paper towels into the toilet, and then adding kitty litter to "clear it up", was a good idea.
Also he seems like he's got a surprisingly low stat in his YOLO meter. Whenever he makes these harebrained schemes to comically solve everyday problems he always takes good care to plan and rationalise all his solutions.

Kind of going off the subject here: When I was in high school back in the mid to late 2000s, I tried out for my school's J.R.O.T.C rifle team since I took part in those classes. During tryouts we'd take turns shooting 10 pellets at a paper target across the room, and afterwards we'd take it and see how well we shot. Because of this we all began giving each other nicknames for shits and giggles. My nickname was Buckshot, because, if I'm honest, I was garbage at it since I wore glasses and couldn't line up the scope without pressing them against it. One of my friends was nicknamed Lunchbox because he was a bit overweight at the time. We had another called Screecher since he always let out a happy yell when hitting his mark, another was named T&A, because she was the only female present (she had no problem with this and even laughed with us), and the last one I can remember was Taz, because he was as hyper as the Tasmanian Devil from Looney Tunes.
I'm no optical expert, but you shouldn't need to put your eye right up to the scope, even if you are wearing glasses. Was the eye relief on that type scope just awful, or was it just the scope you were using?
@@sumvs5992 I tried pulling away from it, but the image would get blurrier. It's weird though, because I got my own personal rifle to practice with at home, and its scope was fine. I could see through it clearly. So, maybe it was school's scopes that were the problem. I know they were using older models at the time.
That thing about putting fecal matter into the sharp of the blade is one of the first things i heard from crime stories when i was 6 years old because the brother of my uncle-in-law got stabbed with it and almost died because it infected everything and had to wash every possible corner of his insides, crazy thing was that my uncle is a nurse so he was there helping his brother not to die, imagine the trauma he could have gone if his brother died on surgery while he's trying his best to save him.
I think lead poisoning is the least of your worries when being shot with a gun. Besides, a lot of the time, the bullet will just go right through, barring certain ammunition meant to not do that.
I know, I know. At the time I thought that a bullet being lodged in ones flesh you suck hard, rather than a quick end.

Hey jack, just wanna say love ur reactions to vids over the years and ur open minded approache to things, plus u always give some interesting point of view and breakdowns, also love ur reaction to the russianbadger and tts vids too, just wanted to suggest a series know as Star Wars vs 40k by A Fan With Too Much Time, is amazing crossover audio fanfic series that puts the two setting in a what if scenario highly recommend it, i know that it's been a minute since u had started with 40k and I'm not sure how ur stars war knowledge is with both Canon and legends continuity but I still think you'll enjoy it
Speaking of the gay army, look up the sacred band of Thebes, aka the 300, 150 pairs of gay male couples which where used to end the Spartan domination, as the 300 where the most elite special force unit at the time and everyone was terrified of them, including the spartans.

My friend A owned a shotgun for bird hunting or something. I'm not gun savvy enough to confirm that. He's licensed and has his permits at least.
He went out with his friends one time, they usually putz around in the tent or car getting drunk while they wait for animals that never show up. This time they brought a new guy with them, he wanted to try the shotgun, he said he knew what he was doing, so A let him.
The man held the gun out in front of his face and "aimed down the sight" and rocked his jaw with the kickback. When asked why he didn't put it to his shoulder and brace himself like every one else had been doing earlier, he responded "how would I see what I'm shooting?"
Clocking yourself in the jaw with a rifle or shotgun is a very very mistake that new shooters make. You see people resting their cheeks on the gun in the movies, then you try to do that and knock yourself out.
Also yeah, shotguns are often used for bird hunting
i almost never had any of my contraband found, my brother had thought me the tricks of the trade when we were younger, wed always snatch a few things from shops aswell, never got caught but at some point we just realised we may aswell just by the stuff, but the one time something like contraband was found, was when i got lax with hiding my stuff, and i had a few of my sketch pads lying around, and my mother wanted to show of my art skills to her friend so she grabbed one or two of them and they skimmed through it, i don't know if they grabbed the "forbidden" one or not, but one of those sketchpads were being used for my practice in nsfw art, because ive had this idea that when i get into college ill make some money with online commissions for that sort of art.
another time my mother went to clean my room because i was gone for a while and she took it upon herself, she went through my book collection and found my copy of the satanic bible, and for a while my mother made jokes about me being a demon child lol, didnt help im into death metals and have a satanic temple poster on my wall but still.

If we go back to melee combat, it's uh... not very romantic. Knife stab? depending on where it is, you could potentially recover pretty easily. Someone slashes you with a knife? Avoid the neck, and try not to get hit in the legs or hand and you'll live with stitches. Fucking sword? potential limb removal, irreparable damage. Stabbed with a sword? well now your wound channel is 3 times bigger and a bit wider than the knife. Have fun with that, field medic. Put on armor? Imagine being repeatedly concussed to death by big fuck-off hammers or people just holding their sword the other way around to hit your helmet like a bell with the hilt. (at least these days we have better metallurgy so those blunt force strikes don't cave in the front of your chest armor and suffocate you to death because your chest can't expand)
That and the whole reason guns became REALLY, R E A L L Y popular, nearly as soon as someone figured out how to put bang powder in T O O B and set it off is because you don't need to be some massive guy to take another massive guy out of a fight. It means more people can fight if they choose to (in generally whatever state of fitness they are in, or body they were born in).
More people that can fight = more people that could choose to voluntarily join their country's military... meaning less likely people have to get drafted. Whereas if we were still doing full-on melee combat in the modern day, and your country's military wasn't sufficient to do what they need to do, you know full well they'd start measuring kids in school to keep tabs on which ones would make good conscripts in a pinch.
As far as guns go, and moreso bullets... back in the day before cartridge-based weapons, and to some degree during earlier cartridge-based weapons, yeah the bullet was just a lead ball or (later) cone, it didn't really have a TON of velocity and getting exposed lead stuck in the body was a thing. That and medical knowledge wasn't super great during those times, so the chances of infection from treating the wound were higher... depending on how far back you go, disinfection might not have even been practiced let alone known about... but uh-
These days, nearly every bullet used is going to be jacketed, or potentially not even made of lead. Especially for militaries (or, ones following the Geneva Convention and other modern rules of war) the odds of you dying from heavy metal toxicity from a bullet is so small it is almost laughable compared to the... obvious other more dangerous thing about a small object with a high density spinning towards you at anywhere from 300 to 1200 meters per second or so. Smaller area of that bullet does mean smaller wound channels though, depending on the bullet at least, and usually it's passing through you rather than into you.
The risk of bleeding to death is still there, or taking a bullet to the wrong spot and having 0 chance of recovery even if you magically teleported into a hospital's operating room (let alone the field treatment you're more likely to get, followed by being sent reasonably far away to an actual field hospital where you'd actually be... treated, rather than just stabilized... I'm on a tangent now though). That risk is still there with a sword, axe, bludgeoning weapon, what have you though. If you take a bad knock to the head, you're not standing up. Take a bad hit to the chest or leg, you're also not getting up.
tl;dr, going back to primarily melee-based warfare means more likely for mandatory conscription of people based on their genetics in the modern day (due to a smaller pool of people capable of fighting in general) , and a higher potential mortality rate in war.

I’m a little late to the party here, but I had many different contraband items that I got in trouble for, but my contraband that I’d go for consistently was actually books. I loved reading, and I’d sneak my books to bed, and I’d run into the problem of needing to have a light source. Eventually, I figured out that if I asked for a night light after watching a horror movie with my mom, I wouldn’t have that problem. Then, I memorized my parents sleep schedules and where all the creaky floorboards were, and I’d make sure to leave whatever bag I had my book in unzipped. From there, it was just a matter of making sure I put it back before I got too tired

i would thing a pole arm would give you the advantage, but just a straight spear would be annoying, one of those Asian versions of the Halbert would be better i think, and once a person with a sword gets past you preferred range you are just about done

The reason the AR-15 is such a dangerous weapon is due to a specific property of the 5.56mm/.223 caliber round. Because of how small and soft the round is, it tends to sprawl (essentially it flops through the air like a poorly tossed football), causing extremely damaging wounds. It can also break apart on impact, sending tiny bits of shrapnel all throughout your body. It's an extremely brutal weapon that has no business being in the hands of anyone untrained in its use and safety requirements.
5.56х45 tend to fragment inside body when fired from 20" barrel, shorter barrels cause initial velocity of bullet to drop and lessen the damage.

@@literalsarcasm1830, it's still enough. For M16 bullet fragmentation cases were relatively common, while for M4 those are rare and mostly achieved from close distances.
This is misleading. Originally, when the M-16 was created, the twist ratio of the barrel would cause the bullet to tumble through the air. However, this was fixed. Like all guns, the AR-15 and M-16 both fire bullets that spiral. What makes the 5.56mm so dangerous is that it splinters and fragments on hitting flesh.
Rounds from an AR-15 are not gonna tumble mate.
