@@101skills. yeah, I’d have to agree with that. That’s a lot of abrasive material. Most people don’t need more edge holding capabilities than AEB-L has to offer.
@@PotatoCheese Thanks Tom! I do have a soft spot for washita’s. I have 3 now, this being the slowest but finest finishing one. When I try, I can get a HHT4 straight off that stone, super impressive. I’m sure we can set you up with a nice piece of hard AEB-L soon😏
@@Falin89 Thanks mate! Yeah the amount of effort it took to get back to hair whittling was surprising. The knife is all scratched up from cutting various materials, that’s why it looks like shit now.
@@stroppystuff641 It never was a hobby of mine either. With geometry like that, you can basically just keep on cutting forever. I just called it quits when it required quite a bit of pressure to scrape off a few hairs.
@@jakehu6671 hahaha, my fault! I didn’t know I would end up sharpening in this video. Only realized after the intro that I should probably sharpen it back up, to show how easy it is.
Awesome video was nicely informative.
325 ft of cardboard and back to hair splitting after about 3 minutes of sharpening and stropping is incredible!

Nice vid lars!
Cool to see the washita make an appearance. And this is really making me want to try some hard AEBL!

That's some nice performance! Cutting and ability to quickly get back to super sharp.
The tester knife you made also looks dope imo!

Good video. Thank you for sharing.
@@TheGamerMario1000 and thank you for the compliment!
@lars43771 your welcome, buddy. I also subscribed now because I forgot to do it earlier.
@ Thanks man! You’re Bucko, right?
@lars43771 yeah I am haha
Wow! Amazing work!
@@RazorSharpBG thank you! The good heat treat of the steel is what makes this possible though.
@@lars43771 That's important, but you're also working right on the apex 🤩
I tried this once and my hand almost fell off. I don't ever want to try again.

No 'sharpening with Lars'?
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined 🥲
