    What I'd be interested in is turning them into actual unique characters. I really don't see a point in animating them as they are unless yeah, you're doing a review. Also, isn't "memory" a return to a previous state, not holding a new state? Like memory foam returns to it's original form, that it "remembers", right?

    Hi. They had a special so I got me one. I mainly need it to sketch out poses for illustrations and animations. Are they good enough for that?

      Yes. Honestly I’m pretty sure I’ve seen someone shrink a mold, so you could mold all of this guy’s pieces, shrink the mold, make a copy of the smaller bits and make a mold out of those (the shrunk molds eventually get larger again)

    I noticed you didn't mention durability of the tension in the joints. Did they loosen?

  • @machineman6498
    @machineman6498 3 года назад +5

    Xevoz. But anyway, thank you for showing this. Overall they put a lot of time into the figure. Not so much on the hands. Way more ball joints then needed. Hinge joint and thinner fingers. It kinda looks like the went for 100% ball joints. That makes for tough part swaps like heads or hands without moving the figure. Still a great looking model. Did the figures get too loose under lamps?

    • @MTWC
      @MTWC  3 года назад +2

      Not at all regarding animating under lamps. They kept their resistance the whole time- and that was in a place where degrees fluctuated between 40° at night (in my garage) and later 65° when I would throw on the space heater.

  • @silverblue73

    The thickness of the figures limits what kind of characters you can make as does the limitation in height and width. Guess I've talked myself out them for animation. I'd rather use professional armatures.

    "Steep"? Ya reckon? Way too expensive for 50 cents worth of 3D-printed plastic. Oh well--it's only a wee amount of time till the Russian kids print up a bunch and sell them on eBay for $10 each. Where's my micrometer....

    • @DeductedSpy

    • @bahamut_the_warrior
      @bahamut_the_warrior 3 года назад +2

      It’s not 3D printed to my knowledge unless “polymer” means 3D printed. I would reckon that 3D printed material would get brittle and fall apart very very quickly when met with the demand of ball joints or hinges that are constantly rubbing up against each other. Though, I don’t know much about 3D printing. And I know you’re joking, but getting the authentic thing is much better because you aren’t encouraging counterfeits and copies.
