    Friedman guitars through friedman amps and these two guys playing. That's just not fair for the rest of us man XD. And damn that intro alone sounded killer!

  • @CentaurusRelax314
    @CentaurusRelax314 7 лет назад +21

    These two play together and it's like, "messed around and got a triple double." They're probably not even thinking about it or trying hard, and the results are kinda glorious. Rather listen to this than soooo many other highly-acclaimed guitarists. You know the ones i'm talking about.....

    • @JackDaniels10101
      @JackDaniels10101 7 лет назад +1

      Absolutely I know which Andertons videos you're talking about!

    • @CentaurusRelax314
      @CentaurusRelax314 7 лет назад +6

      Noooo. Not criticizing any of the Andertons videos. I was speaking about certain 'newly famous' guitar players. But, i don't wanna be one of those 'internet guitar dicks' who goes around ripping other players who are still infinitely more talented than i am.....
      To recap: I love anderton's (and its affiliates') videos. Love.

    Fantastic playing by Mick and Danish Pete! Great sounding amps and guitars by Friedman! My fave's would be the Blue P90 guitar with the Buxom Betty, but you can't really go wrong with any of them!

  • @luke_reiss
    @luke_reiss 7 лет назад

    If I was a wolf, I would howl for that amazing intro, while daydreaming about some vintage spaceship with a Chevelle Malibu look and feel (and smell of old car panel with aged soft seats). P90 pickups. Steampunk vintage sci-fi.
    Stunning beautiful guitars.....
    Here in Brazil we only had "Opalas" which were a way cheaper inspired version of Chevelle or Camaro cars. Some countryside cities preserve a little of those old times. Maybe the red soil helps to preserve the look and feel.
    I was writing and listening... I like your talk and play. Don't get mute in any way. Keep talkin' aaand playin'.
    Cheers!!!
    Luke
    (today I'm a little more meshuga than usual, so, I feel like some sort of Luke Wookie, or Wookie Luke... but I promise to keep my ears up... have a nice weekend y'all)

    I know the fingerboard is a compound radius, but I haven't heard anyone mention if the neck profile is 'modern' or vintage (~baseball bat). These guitars seem really well sorted and my only complaint is the headstock--not working for me. Maybe if the maple neck version headstock were natural finish it wouldn't stand out so much?

  • @richardharrold9736

    What causes the metallic ringing sound that's most evident with the black mahogany guitar? It's something I've noticed in a lot of alt-rock songs, but I wouldn't know how to get it.

    I played a Friedman Strat and it had the most difficult-to-bend strings I've ever played. The strings also seemed pretty "vintage" for a new guitar.

    • @jimryder4878
      @jimryder4878 7 лет назад

      CNCTEMATIC the white one or sunburst? Good to know they were stiff. That's a lot of $$$ for a stiff guitar. The necks are too big too.

    • @CNCTEMATIC
      @CNCTEMATIC 7 лет назад +1

      It was white with a red tortoise-shell pick guard, and a humbucker in the bridge. I played it through a 65 Whiskey amp and it sounded great, but very uncomfortable to play. Maybe it would be better with new strings and some nut sauce, I dunno. I usually don't have Strat trems floating anyway for that reason.

    I love Friedman products, but IMO the Runt is easily the least appealing of all the amp offerings. It's a nice idea, but the gain channel is so pokey and fizzy. I've tried a few and you can't really dial it out. The Betty with pedals sounds phenomenal as always.

    Nice screw between the P90s there!
    Well thought out guitars they seem!
    Very expensive though...
    I wonder if they could just ditch the aging part and maybe lower the dough needed.
