You can see the site in my video here - ruclips.net/video/VK_JOCxL38M/видео.html His head and hands are not buried here - not known where they are to my knowledge. It's not easy to access the site on Airds Moss.

Hi Rodger many thanks for your informative videos. I was raised in Cumnock which I know you have visited. Remember the time the grave of John Peden was found when they were cleaning the Covenanters memorial in the town churchyard.

Further to John Peden he would go about in disguise with a face mask made of pigskin which used to be on display in the Baird Museum in Cumnock with other Covenanter memorabilia

I don't understand how it was used. He wouldn't wear it in public as he would be reported for hiding his features and he didn't need to wear it at a Conventicle. It has been suggested that several masks existed and this meant that he had a good chance of leaving a meeting without being followed as several identically dressed & masked men would leave in different directions. What do you think?

Great to have you back on the radar Roger, another cracking video. The borders were/still are an intriguing area, not borders as such Glasgow area but this was a big feature of the south of Scotland. You should always stand up for what you believe and take the consequences. Have you looked at James Hogg at all Roger, a friend of Sir Walter Scott I think?
    Regards

I have come across him quite often, however I have yet to read his works. I was at the inn near the Mare's Tail where Scott and Hogg last dined together.
