    These are the most beautiful books! I love that these books are oversized, unlike many of the Vanishing Inc books. I’ve had the pleasure to hang with him in St. Louis at the amazing Gateway Close-Up Convention in April. At this last Magifest you could see Allan hanging in the lobby with anyone that wanted to spend time with him. He is friends with anyone that sits at his table.
    The content in these books are outstanding for anyone that loves card magic. Not only does he reference the history of the tricks he does, but just as thoroughly referenced in his books.
    The history that you learn from Allan is invaluable. You can learn the history of all his work and you might even figure out how to create your own version of these tricks.
    Allan is the friendliest of the master magicians. His friendliness also comes through in the books. I’ll be digging through these books for years to come. Don’t miss out on these amazing books.

    Very Good Review Allan Ackerman is my mentor! I helped develop several of these card techniques and routines with him. I have been mentored by him since I was 15. He is one of the world's greatest card magicians!

    Great job reviewing Allan's new book set. It's a compilation of all the out of print lecture notes he's produced over the years along with new material -- all edited by Lovick.. I can't wait to get my copy! :) I am really interested in the A&D Sandwich routine and can't wait to read it in the book. Also thanks for mentioning my free e-book on page 50.

    Definitely want to get this set, but I just got a couple of big books that I need to look through first. I'm sure it will end up on my doorstep at some point this year.

    Are there many mem-deck routines in these books? Or is it primarily his thoughts on stacks and the one he prefers?

      There is mem-deck routines in this book :)

    • @EruditeMagic
      @EruditeMagic  11 месяцев назад +3

      He discusses memdeck options and reasoning in a separate chapter, but within the tricks, there are routines that require a memdeck.

    Speaking of Vanishing Inc., I just had a thought...does VInc have an outlet for returns, or somehow "used" items?

    • @EruditeMagic

      Nope. Where books are concerned (my area of interest), Don takes care of that!

      No. I think it's a "nice to have," but not a "must have"

    • @kennomagic
      @kennomagic 8 месяцев назад +1

      I suggest a different label of "extremely nice to have ". A strong variety in methods, style and difficulty.
