I have a medium 3t Strada set up with Sram Red AXS 1x; Garbaruk chain ring and OSPW; Craft Racing Wheels; and unbranded lightweight cockpit. I love my Strada! Joe said it perfectly, they hit a home run with the geometry. My bike is a medium and it weighs 7.3kg. I'd like to get it down below 7 but I can't find anything further to change without going to extremes (Darimo...THM...) As is though, I use my Strada over my S-Works Aethos as my daily. Thanks Joe for turning me on to the CRW wheels, they are awesome as well!
Yup!I'll take rim brake every day of the week...but if you force me to buy disc... I love the Strada so much! Zero regrets buying this frame. Send some pics to social and tag @pandapodium.official so I can see it! :)
I bought a 2019 model in 2022 as an end of line discount. Its by far and away the most expensive bike I will ever own. When you consider this came out in 2017, it's a design that is at least 8 years old and still really current. I have really enjoyed the 5000km I have covered, so easy to get and keep it going. Im not an upgrader but have swapped the wheels out and run tubeless. Dont live near any major climbs so 11/36 works well with a 46t on the front. Keep the seat post clamp torqued up, no post slip, the seat clamp has been a nightmare tho. Grit tape has held both, so far. 🤞
@ChinaCycling The wheel issue is probably a dropout alignment issue. This is reason why some metal frames have eccentric inserts from the drive side dropout (you can see the lynskey or X12 system for an example). I think the 3T bikes use a single piece for the dropout and hanger. If you haven't tried a new, OEM or high quality replacement hanger, it might be worth a shot. I personally wouldnt bother with trying to get a custom hanger made to fix the alignment but that might be an option too. Also, great looking build!
Absolutely love my 3t strada , I have to 1by version , weapon of a bike , the rear hose could be better but it's a small price to pay for such a great bike 👌🤙
I have the same misalignment problem with my Velobuild VBR-077 frame, definitely limits which wheels and tires I can use. Still waiting to hear anything back from their support team.
just because it's a thin seat post in the x axis won't really change the compliance. It's deep in the Y-axis and therefore it'll be extremely stiff compared to a round seat post, or even a d-shape post. It has extremely high second moment of area in the axis you expect compliance.
There was a bike review years ago, not long after the 3T was released. Fairly sure they noted that the tyre clearance was really small on the rear. It had even rubbed some paint off.
Buyer beware, in my experience 3T have horrible after sales support. I personally wouldn't put any faith in their frame warranties. My exploro racemax developed a crack in the top tube after 3 months of predominantly road riding. 3T told me my frame wrap had caused the damage! Took it to a carbon expert who said the most likely cause was poor manufacturing... after 6 months of emails and waiting and waiting I can only share my experience. IMO avoid avoid avoid!
Cannondale has a AI(Asymmetric Integration) rear wheel standard, 3mm and 6mm, maybe this bike has it? Especially since it was a one by only at the begining. Later they have added a front mech hanger, maybe moved to that Cannondale standard to make enough space for the tire and front mech?
Hi, Looking forward to the eRX video! Question: do you know if they are working on a TT version of this groupset? (or actually if anyone else is doing a TT groups, mechanical or electric, I just can't contemplate paying a fortune to Shimano or Sram for it)
This is cool. This is what a bike in North America or Europe could look like if Panda Podium takes off. And, this bike looks gooood. I've always wondered what a Western frame would look like fully donned in Chinese brands, and now I know. Great looking bike. Nothing looks out of place or out of the ordinary at all. 12 speed electronic/hydraulic aero bike with deep section wheels, integrated cockpit, power meter, and at the weight minimum. Checks all the boxes. So, how much would this cost an average American consumer vs the $15k super bikes of the Western brands? That is the real questions, and could we see completes like this sold someday, and at what cost.
Yup, that's the direction we're going in. Ironic that only one component was a 'wester brand' and it was one of the component with an issue! Haha. Anyway, s**t happens and I don't hate on anyone for it. If I purchased the frame brand new and they refused a warranty, i'd be livid. But I got this second hand so... it is what it is.
does the bike ride ok even with the misalignment? Does it dogtrack or have any other riding issues? I wonder if you could get the frame checked in the QA/QC department at one of your manufacturing friends 🤔
Good question. When I first started riding it, I felt something was weird, but I then put it to my imagination. Then rode about 1000km thinking it was fine. Then when I knew there was an issue, my subconcious went back to being able to 'feel' something weird again. I may play around with re-dishing some wheels to test. But first I need to figure out if it's a lateral offset problem of an angle problem...
I LOVED HOW YOU CUT TO VROOOOOMEN ENGINEERING IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU FINISHED EXPLAINING THE PROBLEM. These are some really shit show bikes aren't they lol.
Aqua Blue Sports team rode the 1x Strada, and they didn't have a good word to say about it. Probably one of the reasons why the team went under. Riders couldn't get results, so team ranking went down, and they missed out on GC wildcard selection. Sponsors then said adiós.
Garbage company. I bought a 3T with first gen Ekar and it was nothing but problems. Campy CS and 3T did nothing to help. Bike was assembled with kinks in the hydraulic hoses, Ekar cassette wasn’t machined properly and loosened on every ride. Bearings to wheels were shot after a few months. Sold it at a loss but I’ll never buy a 3T or Campy product again.

What do you think about Elilee Parts?
Needs more stuff! Lights, tools, bags, aero socks etc Otherwise good website!
lol @ focusing on "Vroomen Engineering" when talking about the frame misalignment issue. A touch that Hambini would surely appreciate...
Absolute love that build!!

Bare carbon and tpu tubes could get you there.

Great video as always, love the color of the frame! hoping that Ltwoo give us a gravel version of this groupset.
Watch this space. ;)

I'm fairly sure this uses the X12 for the rear. Finding parts in China is gonna be a PITA...

I have the same misalignment problem with my Velobuild VBR-077 frame, definitely limits which wheels and tires I can use. Still waiting to hear anything back from their support team.
It's a common issue due to the bonding of the rear triangle, but it's usually easily caught by QC.

I know what you mean, but the Y-Axis is also very thin... especially for an aero seatpost. It's probably 1/3rd of my allez sprint.
@@ChinaCycling fair enough. Yeah, that Allez sprint has an extremely deep seatpost, as well as the Aeroad
There was a bike review years ago, not long after the 3T was released. Fairly sure they noted that the tyre clearance was really small on the rear. It had even rubbed some paint off.
I wouldn't mind, but the clearance is only on one side!

:( I tried to give a western brand a chance, but I've really only heard bad things about 3T so far...🙈
The original seat clamp was a nightmare on the strada , very hard to stop it tilting . New richey one solved it .
Looking forward to video like this with a tavelo frame👀
You know too much!!! Hahaha.
Waiting for this to drop too! 😎
Where is the gc performance part?
Great video as always 🤌🤌🤌
Appreciate it! You rock. 🤘

Nice shots in the rain. Another commenter mentioned the cable going into the top tube... Nevertheless, I've always liked the look of 3T bikes.
Yeah, the new one fixed that by being fully internal, but I don't think the rest of the bike is as beautiful as this model.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the frame is asymmetric.
The frame has 1mm asymmetry by design apparently I was told by someone at 3T, and they just said (long story.)

I've not seen anything about a TT version yet... and I'm pretty close to them. ~_~
How about rim brake version?
that's a shame... it will have to be second hand then! Thanks for the reply@@ChinaCycling
Why does that position on the saddle looks so off?
Is it the geometry or just me?

Why the deep section wheels, why ?
Have the same problem with the 3T Strada where wheels and tires are touching the frame with 28mm or bigger
So strange, as it's main selling point when new was that it was designed for 28mm tires. Does yours touch in the same place. Driveside chainstay?
This the new 2023? Not internal routing?
Hi Joe. Do you know if L-Twoo is planning to release a rim brake version of the ERX?
Hey Joe, awesome build right there. I am very curious on the fit of your setup. May I just ask what is the frame size of this 3T Strada? Thanks much
price?
Love white saddles. Hard to find that color. Would you remember what brand that is or model number?
It was listed on Taobao.com with no model name or brand. Just "White carbon saddle" etc etc. Sorry I can't be more helpful. :(
thanks .. keep up the discovery of China bikes...@@ChinaCycling
Hi Joe, which Hambini Bottom Bracket do you use? Thanks for your feedback :)
Race edition :)
Drop the Ltwoo video please haha
Greetings from a beach! 😎
Do you have a link for the generic carbon saddle?
If you're in China, I can send you a taobao link.
@@ChinaCycling not in china..:(
Stick it in a frame jig and check it over..
Can you buy the Wheels as a individual ?
You mean a single front or rear wheel? Ask our staff on pandapodium.cc

Didn't a 5 year old exposed them in 2020?

Have a look at the channel Amer rides bikes. Shes got an absolute dog of a 3T frame too
I'll check it out! I'm sensing a pattern, lol...

Damn. And then they cover the products with Italian flags and "ENGINEERING" ... it's a joke.
Are you sure that is the legit 3T and not the blue copy you can get from china? Look basically the same.
I won't rule it out 100%, but I'm fairly confident this one is legit. AFAIR; the fake ones had BSA bottom brackets. This one is BBRight.
Some's up the bike industry. Total disaster.
3T absolute garbage
3T has made the absolute ugliest cable-into-top-tube design ever.
It's not exactly Italian elegance.
