Did this to my 2005 C230 Kompressor. I'm the original owner and the car is 14 years old. The car seems a lot more responsive through the throttle. Car seems a little faster as well. Thanks for the 411.

Not only did this reset completly transform preformance to like new,
it also saved me thousands correcting a gitter felt switching between
2nd & 3rd gears. I was certian a transmission overhaul was coming soon.

i wonder what happened to keith. he helped me learn how to restore a 2010 GLK by watching and studying his videos. i went down to the nook and crannies of my GLK and it is a smooth beast!

Just did this reset by your instructions... my ML now shifts much better and more evenly. Even the transition between N and D is now without that jolt that felt very unhealthy. Thanks for the shared knowledge. Subscribed!
Wow I just bought a 2006 ml 350 with 85k on it and after I watched this video I went right to my car to do it. And my car rides so much better! It made a huge difference with the transmission shifting. Thanks so much

Did this this morning, seems to have made a difference. I would think my dealer would have already done it for me before i bought it used.
The dealership does the minimum. Oil Change, Filter Change, Fix any known issues. Remember to do this at least twice a year. Thanks for watching.

I have read that this procedure will also reset the high and low points of the gas pedal (also called throttle reset procedure) on Mercedes. A nice bonus,huh.

Thank you for sharing this! Could you share what to do after releasing the gas paddle if we have keyless start? I pressed start/stop once again would put it in 2nd setting.
If you have the keyless start that's a silver button, you can actually pull that button out and use the key to perform this.

I’ve been told my car is showing a fault with transmission control module. Any tricks to reset it? Some of the videos have worked. I’ve done a 50km journey is manual mode all the way. Then wake up and it’s back in limp mode stuck in D

It goes mutch better now. Shifting from 3to2 and from 2to1 gear becomes imperceptible. I really impressed. It works 100 %

Ok I have to tell this story, I bought a 2007 ML500 about a month ago and it did shift kind of weird when the Trans was downshifting while creeping to a stop, I bumped into this video last night not even looking for Mercedes info, well this morning while getting some Starbuck's Coffee I did the procedure.
Mannnnnnnn this Truck shifts so freaking smooth and is so responsive it feels like I have a new Trans and Motor very very SMOOOOTTTTHHHH with a RUMMMMMMBLE I can't feel it shift while creeping to a stop thanks for the information and the time you took to get it too us first time Benz owners.

I saw other videos about resetting transmission, and they all say that you need to stay inside the car and avoid opening the door for 5 minutes. Which procedure is correct? Or does it really matter?
Also, in the other videos, they turn the key off first, then release the gas pedal.
Can you please confirm which procedure is correct.

I have a 2009 ML550 Mercedes w/ AMG package, I’m hoping this works the car was (purchased) brought up from Arizona (hot dry climate) up to the North Eastern USA. I just “assumed” it was shifting roughly (gas pedal sensitivity) due to massive climate difference. I hope this works?! 👍🏿

I had rough idle, rpm starts at 1.2k, gradually drop to 800.. fuel mileage at 12/100km.. I knew smth was wrong but maf and bunch of other things r new.. I can smell Gas when I throttle at idle and fuel mileage at idle was real bad.. after this reset, the cold idle is at 650rpm, fuel meilage goes to 9.1km/100km.. helps a lot to reset throttle position

I thought that only worked with drive-by-wire the newer cars if your car has a cable attached to the accelerator apparently it is not meant to now don't get me wrong I actually hope it because mine is 2005 so if I can re calibrate it that would be brilliant

Hi Keith i have a 2010 glk 350 not 4matic. I’ve replaced the intake manifold, spark plugs and coil packs on it but the rpms jump up and down when accelerating also it does it even more when going uphill don’t know if it’s the maf sensor or a gas sensor or filter issue can u help please thanks

Did this to my Mercedes Benz c 350 2014 and worked fine the first time but after a while it came back and it don’t work anymore... do you suggest I should change the conductor plate ? Or what’s our next step suggestion ? I got no errors and it’s 107000 miles

I have 2007 slk 280 when I drive it sounds like a lion roaring and gets louder the faster I go it’s hard to get to 45 mph without the loud noise like it’s struggling when I start car and our reverse or drive it jerks hard helppppp me I hope I don’t need a transmission
I just did this to my 2006 MB ML350, that I bought used beginning of last year. Haven't had the chance to drive it yet, but I could hear it reset when my foot was on the gas pedal. When I started it after the 5 minutes I could hear a difference.
Any tips on how to fix the Rear SAM on this model? It's caused my gas gauge to not function. Paid over $200 at MB dealership just to run the computer to tell me about something I already suspected. They want nearly $1000 to replace.

Check that gage is getting electricity. Check fuses,and relays.
You should do a video on how to check the trans fluid without taking it to the dealer my r350 has no dip stick

HEY KEITH I HOPE ALL IS WELL .QUESTION .I HAVE AN 2010 CL550 .I HAD ISSUES WITH GATWAY UNIT IT WAS DRAINING MY BATTERY ,SO I UNPLUGGED BOTH OF MY REAR WINDOWS FROM THE MOTOR FOR ABOUT 1YEAR IN THE UP POSITION ,I GOT THE GATEWAY UNIT FIXED ,I PLUGGED IN THE REAR DOORS WINDOWS THERE NOT WORKING NOW ,ANY SUGGESTIONS??
I would check the fuses and relays. Grab an icarsoft scanner and see if the switches in the doors have issues.

My car is idling like if it wants 2 shut off after I removed the battery will this fix my issue even my sunroof is acting up
A lot of people have put videos out saying you can reset the computer by taking the terminals off your battery and touching them together // do not do this ,, if take the terminals off but if you touch them the battery drains so fast it can damage the computers what you need to do is buy a resistor connect one side to positive lead and the other side to the negative lead , and let the power dissipated over 5 to 10 minutes

What about if you reset the whole car to the factory setting by doing it in the setting? Wouldn't that will reset the transmission as well?
I thought that but I've done it in the actual setting and it does nothing so I'm gonna try this

Hi...I have a E240 W211 2005 which I bought as used from an elderly gentlemen. Mileage was 138000km and 13 years old car. The pedal was heavy and was less responsive. After resetting as in the video, it transformed the car. Can't believe the simple procedure changed how the transmission responded. It changed gear faster and pick up was superb. Is this a placebo or this is what usually happens? Anyway I happy with my car now. Thanks buddy!!!
This is no placebo effect. Do this every 6 months. Or immediately before a long trip. A must have for newly acquired Mercedes.

Hi Keith.. I recently bought my w204 c180 kompressor but I noticed that on the 2nd gear there is a lag while accelerating also if I remove my foot from the gas pedal and press again while on the 2nd gear the car shakes a little like I am driving a manual car and not pressing the clutch..
If I do that will it help or I have to go to a specialist?
Is the check engine light on? How many miles on the car? Sounds like the transmission needs resetting at a minimum. Also the transmission fluid might be low.
