Some of the songs is more like classic rock songs, (nothin' bad bout' that) the rest of them, songs like beautiful war and wait for me, is still kings of leon as they were in only by the night. They're great, supersoaker and family tree is some of my favorites.
***** i've got nothing against classic rock but if that's what they're aiming for then they've failed. It's soft rock made for the radio and that's it. The days of Youth & Young Manhood, Aha Shake Heartbreak, Beacause of the Times and maybe half of Only By The Night are long gone but sadly that's when they were at their best.
No doubt you cant beat some of tracks from the older albums, their old stuff was fantastic, but not nearly as refined or cultured as the newer albums. I miss songs like The Bucket and Red Morning Light, but I welcome the new, more honed sound you get with Temple, Tonight, Wait For Me etc Think you're out of line to use words like pathetic bud. KOL are still fucking great :D :D
