    Nice fishing, nice video guys.
    But you need to change something.
    On a take you strike to early. Don't strike the moment the fish takes, give them time to go under water again. Give them let's say 2 seconds.
    And with the fish you catch there you need a bigger landingnet 😃.
    Left a subscription, I'd like to see more.

    The beauty of your fishing spots. The respect you have for the fish. The music and your relaxed behavior. The dram of scotch with your good friend. These all make we feel like I am back in my fishing territory. Many thanks!!! I do have a question, perhaps because of my Canadian fishing culture: Normally my partner and I would carry a canoe in to the remote lakes we fish. Have you considered this? Perhaps it is too far? Again thanks, your videos keep my fisherman’s heart beating while I wait for trout season to open. Cheers!

      Thanks Albert. Glad you enjoyed the video :) We actually prefer fishing from the shore. Don't know why. Of course you will be able to reach a lot more fish in a canoe but it's not that important. If the fish are far from the shore we normally take a break, have a coffee and a whisky, and wait for them to get closer. Part of the whole thing so to speak. Cheers

    The next best thing to actually getting out to catch some trout in person here in Nova Scotia is watching you guys catch them in Northern Sweden! Awesome videos, great fishing! I do have to ask though about the real flies, I assume a combination of mosquitoes, black flies and midges (?), they look like they are having a meal off you guys at times? Is it very cold there or are you hooded up to keep the little biters at bay? The dreaded black fly is just coming out in full force here after a cold spring.

    • @CarpeDiemFlyfishing
      @CarpeDiemFlyfishing  5 лет назад

      Thanks Mike. Appreciate it :) Well you're right in your assumptions. They are mosquitoes and midges and they do bite from time to time. But actually the bites from them don't itch as much as the bites from mosquitoes down south. They seem to have less poison in them. It's cold up these for sure. Even if it's in the middle of summer it can get below zero during the night. So we have the jackets mainly for the temperature but also for keeping the mosquitoes out. Cheers

    • @capermike3611
      @capermike3611 5 лет назад

      @@CarpeDiemFlyfishing It's the dreaded 'black fly' here that can keep you from wanting to go fishing in the spring. Those flies can literally leave you bloodied. Many a time, my family has been horrified by the state of my face and hands, every little bit of exposed flesh full of welts and blood. This is the famous 'black fly' song animated by the National Film Board of Canada: ruclips.net/video/f389hIxZAOc/видео.html

    Fantastisk serie! Ny sub! Precis vad jag behövde efter en heldag med isfiske. Man slipper myggen, men vem hade inte donerat lite blod för ett sådant fiske:)

      There's probably two meters of ice on the lake right now. Makes fly fishing very tricky :)

      Don't know guys I'm slowly dying from terminal Cancer. Would love to see the country Winter or no before I finally shuffle off this mortal coil. It is highly unlikely. But thanks to your films I get the chance to dream and imagine what may have been. Thanks I really appreciate them and your obvious passion for my passion. Fly fishing and nature.

    Fantastisk film och fantastiska fiskar! Till nästa film skulle jag gärna se inslag på vilka flugor som använts under resan och hur dessa flugor fiskats! =)

    What were the most effective flies for arctic char over there? Colors and sizes? Thanks a lot and greetings from Finland! Keep up the good work! 💪🎣

      Most effective were caddis without a doubt. Both winged and emergers. Brownish, greyish and olive, sizes 10-14. Cheers from Sweden

    Fantastiska filmer ni gör. Underbart! Fiskar ni i kvoterade vatten i filmen eller är det inom Länsstyrelsens vanliga fjällfiskekort?
