    I'm a little late to this party but I'm glad it's still rockin'! Seriously - I find these to be great slap lessons; out of the various videoss I've found thus far, I keep coming back to yours, Mr. Whitley. Thanks very much. I appreciate the time and energy this takes and look forward to more. [Subscribed.]

    Hi there!
    I use Rotosound Funkmaster FM66 30-90. Very light gauge and help with bending etc. They give a very tight punchy & controlled sound. I love 'em :-)
    Cheers,
    Scott.

    Thanks fdor your message :-)
    I'll try and address this in a lesson soon. Yes there are several 'tricks' you can use to help eliminate ringing open strings etc. Usually be lightly touching the open string with your finger tip on your fretting hand. Look out for the video :-)
    Scott.

    Holy crap, dude, you are awesome! Not only do you really take your time with these lessons but every pattern you teach just sounds so sick. I've learned everything you've taught with comfort and consistency so far in like 15 mins because that's how good of a teacher you are (and how badass I am of course haha).
    Thanks a lot dude, see ya in the next lesson

    Sometime when I play a note I'll make contact with an adjacent string and it rings out too. Are you doing anything to mute the neighboring strings?
    Thanks for your videos, Scott. I've looked at a lot of instructional vids and yours are by far the best!

    My hammer-ons sound really weak. Is it just a question of building muscle strength, or is there a way I can improve my technique to get a more punchy sound?

    • @ScottWhitley
      @ScottWhitley  8 лет назад

      Basically just sit doing hammer-ons one after the other for as long as you can bear lol each time you practice. It will come together soon enough...

    which drum machine u use in this video?

    • @ScottWhitley
      @ScottWhitley  2 года назад +1

      Hi Yonatan, it was probably my Korg Pandora PX/4D (long discontinued).
      In my current videos I'm using the drums built into the Zoom B1 FOUR.
      Cheers, Scott.
