wish a lot of RUclipsrs like this. Simple, calm, realistic and straight to the point with less materialism excitements for unboxing every new product box on the earth.
Hi Jonnie, I really enjoy your unboxing and review videos focused on shaving. Would you be interested in testing a product I developed to keep cartridge razors dry, sanitary and longer lasting? Thanks, Pat Sassano
I've used a regular Norelco tri-head cutter for years. Low stubble, wash the sebum oil off your head and dry. Gives a great, quick cut with zero cuts or nicks like an actual razor.
I know im late but here are my thoughts. They messed up by hollowing out the handle. I know they did it to save money, but that should of been their travel version. They should of did a solid handle with a base for the home version at that cost.
I have been out of the head shaving routine for three years and wanted to see if there have been any recent developments. In the past, I used the Gillette ProGlide razor. Thanks for evaluating the Gillette Baldy for us. Much appreciated. Bonus is learning about the Defender razor in the comments.
@@JonnieGrooms Honored to be the first and hopefully one of many. I've got the Defender Razor on order to check it out. I am interested in learning about the exfoliation process and using shaving soap which you briefly covered. Dude, for almost 25 years I have never considered shaving my head at the sink--until seeing you do it. I am exploring your content for guidance. 😁
@@redbeardthetrucker1215 Thanks man. Yep, I ordered it, tried it, and did not like it. Glad it works for others, but found it is not for me. The Gillette ProGlide Shield is working well so far.
Thanks for the review. I was on the fence about buying the Baldy. Don't think I'll bother now. I'm currently using the Defender razor. What is your absolute favorite for head shaving?
Used that razor recently, it’s pointless, if Gillette made blades that are specifically designed for head shaving and not the same ones ie. The skin guard or fusion blade that come on there regular razors, and if they put some sort of a metal insert into the hollow part of the handle like chromed brass to add some heft this would make this razor worth the price it is, otherwise it’s a waste of time, the regular skin guard razor or any Gillette razor will do the same job as this one does 👍
Both are really good they’re both the kind of blades you don’t have to worry about cutting your skin. The defender has one blade than the skin guard and doesn’t clog, for those reasons I’d say it’s better.
@Jonnie Grooms thanks for the reply but i meant the 3 blade defender that you once reviewed.. the blade bends and curves as well.. and they come in regular, sensitive and extra sensitive .. its the defender brand

Sounds interesting, might have to try it.

Defender razor was the worst shave I have ever had with a razor

Basically Gillette SkinGuard Blades with a different handle🤔

I really enjoy the Defender cause it doesn’t clog up
What’s the name of the other razor that you had that used the same one on the baldy??
Nicely done brother hope all is well Jonnie
Thanks Ron, so far everything is good just got to get through Christmas.
Thanks for talking me out of ordering one.
I just share my thoughts, thanks for watching
What is the point to buy it? Just to waste money for another crazy expensive set of raiser heads..?
Head blade is the best imo
Shame the refills are harder to find. Walgreens does not carry them anymore. Amazon or direct only.
I will never use a razor to shave my head after switching to foil shavers. Especially not Gillette, they've gotten ridiculously overpriced.
You just saved me 30 bucks... Thanks Jonnie!
Great review!

How does the skinguard blade compare to the defender blades when it comes to head shaving?

@@JonnieGrooms good shave bro do you use safety razors for head shaving
I like my defender for head shaves :)
Great razor for head shaves
Well I use the skin guard already so I don’t think I need this
Right
👍🏻👍🏻
😁👍🏼
It’s Bald-ly (Lee), not Baldy!😂
Yeah yeah … I noticed after I uploaded it and there was no way I was going to redo the entire video lol
Excellent video. Thanks for making it. I found this product when it came up on Google. Your video was super helpful. 🔥🔥🔥
