  • Saturday, September 25, 2021, 2:04PM EST, Prince Frederick, Maryland is where I shot all of the response footage. The fire was taking place in the Huntingtown/Chesapeake Beach area. Anne Arundel County & Charles County came to Calvert County to assist with this fire.
Call details: 2 Alarm 3 Story Fully Involved Structure Fire. The fire started in the basement and worked up towards back of the first floor. Afterwards, it engulfed a propane tank, causing it to explode. A few minutes later, the basement and 1st floor became engulfed and then a second propane tank in the house exploded, taking out the rest of the house. A firefighter was injured during this fire so he had to be transported by Huntingtowns crew for a leg injury, other than that he (or she) was just fine. I personally don’t know what exactly started the fire unfortunately. This fire took place in the Huntingtown/Chesapeake Beach area. It was a quiet day so I was in the house watching Squid Games on Netflix when this call went out so I had missed a small amount of units, but I got the ones that I missed returning. Most of the units that were passing through my area I got on video thankfully.
Emergency Service Agencies that were on this call:
Calvert County Sheriffs Office, Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department (Company 6), Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department (Company 2), North Beach Volunteer Fire Department (Company 1), Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department (Company 5), Saint Leonard Volunteer Fire Department (Company 7), Benedict Volunteer Fire Department (Company 5), Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad Fire Department (Company 3), Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department (Company 2), Anne Arundel County Fire Department (Company 4), Dentsville Volunteer Fire Department (Company 1),

Not surprising the structure was a total loss. Definitely a defensive operation with that volume of fire upon arrival.

I was surprised to see such an old vehicle heading to a fire. Surprisingly it’s still in service even today.
