I wrote both of the comments😅, and I love that they helped, with those shuv its you are almost there, the board is just not rotating enought you just need to scoop the board with little bit more force.

Im going to share how I improve my ollie over this past few months.
    1. focus on relax squat before ollie. if your squat is tense before you pop, you wont get much height at least for me.
    2. dont squat for too long, your legs will get tensed before you pop and you will lose the spring.
    3. imagine jumping off your back leg off the tail of the board. this will give the pop more power.
    4. jump off with ankle. imagine youre doing skipping rope. most of the jumping power comes from the calf muscle
again, relax when squat, jump and hit the tail hard right after and ofc things like raising knees also help
just sharing tips that had helped me with my ollies. hopefully someone will find these tips useful :)

With the shuv it’s while pushing back foot “straight” back also use the front foot to push forward that same amount . helped me big when a RUclipsr mentioned it

That might work for some, but generally I don't think it is a good idea to use your front foot because it might mess up your balance. (I heard this from a big youtuber as well). It is best to move the front foot as little as possible, and make the tiniest hop, so the board just perfectly flips under you.

I'm an old skater trying to get back into it after 20+ years at the age of 44... i like watching your videos because you have some good insights on the learning process, and it's giving me a little more confidence too. Appreciate you sharing your journey! My biggest setback right now is fear lol.. i break easier than i used to, dont heal as fast... how do you overcome your nerves when practicing something new?

To overcome nerves for new tricks I usually just wear a helmet now. The helmet helps me with confidence. Also I try to break down the trick into stages. Because breaking the trick into stages is less intimidating than going into the full trick from day 1.

Also you should put the comments on screen when you refer to them. That would be cool

Looks like you’re still pinning the tail during Ollie’s move your back foot up after the pop so it can go higher

What worked for me was after learning shuv it’s. I’m goofy so learning to get my right foot up and then landing on one foot, something clicked for my Ollie’s too. Jump up off your front foot and let your back angle snap down as you raising up. Don’t just lift your front foot up on the Ollie’s

I think a deeper squat comes with practice and time. If I do a short squat, my ollie is fine. If I do a deep squat, I out-jump my pop. Either I don’t push the tail down enough to pop, or my front foot slides off the end completely and I risk a credit card. But I squat a little deeper when doing heelflips and don’t really have an issue
So I think a deeper squat just comes with practice as your timing gets better and you’ll push yourself to squat more to get a higher jump and it all just works out

Poor British skaters. I rarely think about rain spoiling my sessions.

I like this tutorial for ollie, maybe it could help you progress: ruclips.net/video/gziDyhrcS8M/видео.html. What is the tutorial you mentioned at the beginning of the video with backward pop for ollie which helped you? Thx
