Personally, I would advise using the windows for signage and advertising. Instead of just covering the windows in foil, I would place signage stating what the museum is or previews of the museum's exhibits on the backs of the shelves in the store and the wooden panels. As of now, all of those windows are being wasted, especially those that are against the sidewalk! Windows are the most beautiful exterior component on a building, so don't shy away from using them and don't just cover them up, or people outside will notice.
I think advertisement would be a really good idea, it could catch more people's attention if you have bright posters hung up in all the windows advertising the museum inside, as opposed to the windows just being blacked out.
You should consider painting the side of the panels facing the window with somrthing, and maybe installing some lighting in the windowsill. You don't want to contribute to the building which hosts your museum looking abandoned and boarded up.
I'm so invested in this series! I absolutely love what you're doing and I, along with I imagine many other LEGO fans, have only dreamed of doing this in our respective cities. Keep up the fantastic work! I cannot wait to visit someday.
You have done an awesome job. I'm not concerned about the areas that are still a work in progress, you can show those all you want to. Or not. I'm looking forward to seeing the city moved to the new location.
As someone else mentioned, I think sunrise or sunset colors for the Wild West would be amazing and would also break up the blue sky with clouds look. I look forward to seeing the progress. I love your work.
I would put moisture traps in the windows as well (assuming you’ll be able to access them and get them out on a c.monthly basis). This will capture any moisture and stop any potential build up.
Are you going to add street lights to your city? If so, you might want to start thinking about placement (over the roads, on the wharf, places where minifigs mingle, train crossings) and light zones. That way you can plan for subsurface wiring before moving everything.
On the plywood window covers: Adding some sort of latch or pull handle on the blue side or fold down stand to the unpainted inside of the plywood panels might be helpful for propping them open for airflow without having to deal with positioning wooden blocks each time you need them to stay open.
This is really going to look great! I have great respect for the size of it all and the financial risk involved, I hope it pays off big time. I love how you did the clouds, they really look good. If I would've done it, it would've looked like clouds from a 4 year old :D
I really love what you're doing! So cool to see you able to continue take your passion for Lego to the next level. Thanks for bringing us all on the ride!
I love watching these videos, as a kid I always wanted to build a Lego city, but the lack of money and space stopped me from building one and watching these videos is like seeing my childhood vision brought to life, thank you for doing what you're doing!
To eliminate the light coming through the caps of the window panels, stable a piece of fabric with enough slack to accommodate the hinges' range of movement to the back of the panels :) You might also be able to add nylon tape to the front instead and then cover it with paint - making the seam near invisible.
Looks incredible, a few Lego statues would looks amazing as decoration. Like the ones they have at Lego land or In Lego stores. It'll probably catch people's attention walking by aswell
I'm glad to see the whole recording process of the scenery behind the scenes. The construction of this city is really great. As a Lego fan, I hope you can shoot more Lego stop-motion animations. It's great.
With how much detail you are putting into these builds, it would be cool to implement an interactive "Where's Waldo" or "I Spy book" search with the build where people get some kind of prize (like a discount on a next visit or a custom sticker etc) for searching for different things within the build and checking them off on a checklist or something. Even without a reward, it would be fun as a customer to go into a Lego museum and search for things on a list to try to find them all, and rotating in and out different checklists of new things to find would make customers want to come back again for a different experience since their looking for different things with a new list
Great! Here is what I would do to get some extra money: Schools have a budget for museums every year. You can build a small area for 20 kids, where they can build with lego and Duplo. Just add big bins with random lego, a lot of it, a large table with lego surface (glued 32x32 plates) this will get a lof of kids in and schools will pay for a field trip, about 200 euros for a day, thats 2400 euro every year, with just 1 group per month.
Seeing this progress on the museum is just as great as seeing the city updates. Watching them both grow is amazing, hope I can go see it in the future!
I am just stunned with what you are doing. I know from your MOCs that this is all going to look amazing. Smart move also to make it a shop also. All the best and I look forward to your next update.
When working with gypsum plates there's little jerrycans of pre-wash available that you can apply before painting which then saturates it with moisture instead of sucking it out of the paint. This helps tons with fully covering walls with paint (and probably a lot cheaper since you don't need as much paint for the same result). Looking great though.
Great work. If the new drywall cracks through the paint it’s because you didn’t use joint tape. If it doesn’t crack then there’s no need to worry! Very impressive artistry as always
I'm sure you've probably already taken this into consideration, but just in case you might want to double check fire codes about the windows. Since the panels can flip open you're probably fine anyway.
If you’re looking for lights look at woodland scenics. They have some very good and easy to install/use options for model lighting. Model train modelers have used them quite a bit and im very happy with their quality
Absolutely mindblowing! Been watching your videos for a while now and I am so inspired by what you are doing with the LEGO museum!! So awesome, and thank you for sharing with us! Sure there will be many happy visitors once the Museum is done! 👏
Wow....just....wow! That already looks amazing, great job on painting the walls with the blue and clouds, looks awesome. Would for sure love to come visit the museum when its all done.
I used to watch your videos on your german channel. My german isn't good but I could understand most of it. But lately I discovered this channel and for me its way better to watch! Looking forward to more progress :)
Fantastic work! The simulation of day/night is a big one for me and will really add another dimension to the atmosphere. The big question of course is does this mean Lego-scale LED's within some of the homes, a street lamp/lighting setup? It really is a whole other project!
i am so happy for you guys! it’s always a pleasure to see a great youtuber expand into other ventures and continue to grow with their creativity. i wish you all the best, and would love to visit this museum if i can ever escape burgerland
You sir, are a hard worker! Looks amazing! Some unsolicited advice: I would put some fabric or foil on the back of the wooden panels so (as mentioned before) the outside of the building will look more appealling. Because people will indeed notice. That way you're left with some nice display cabinets to show the outside world what's happening on the inside. Or just put massive neon letters, one per window, spelling LEGO
Looks spiffy. Have you considered getting Tyvek or something to put as a barrier in the windows to help with moisture? You could, albeit with more difficulty, make a vent with an angled cover that directs up to the ceiling on those window covers or cut a whole and put a pre-made one in.. This could help with airflow and allow a bit of reflected light into the room. Many museums use natural reflected light so things are not light damaged. How about decorating the windows to suit your museum, showcase something, and or at least paint the chipboard to make the building look best from the outside? You could advertise your channel for instance. Change out for seasons. You could also build sets of Lego that you don’t mind getting sun damage or build imitation projects made of wood to look like Legos. You could even just get some banners made with pictures and hang them up.
Lift the wood panels all the way up and put the black foil on the seam. Then when it closed the foil will block the light from coming in thru the crack.
I can’t wait to see the museum completed! You are also really good at painting/drawing too btw. My art teacher would be so triggered after seeing the brushes that way

Or make some unique, colorful large scale mocs to fill the space of each window. Even something with basic bricks that can be seen from the road.
@@Nitrotix1 no, speaking from experience lego doesn’t like sunlight and discolour from U.V. light.
Put small Lego dioramas in the windows for advertising?
@@Spaceman719 you do know there is something called a uv filter right?
You should consider painting the side of the panels facing the window with somrthing, and maybe installing some lighting in the windowsill. You don't want to contribute to the building which hosts your museum looking abandoned and boarded up.
You painted those clouds!!! They look amazing!

I gave the 100th like, you're welcome
This is incredible, can't wait to see how this museum turns out!
You have done an awesome job. I'm not concerned about the areas that are still a work in progress, you can show those all you want to. Or not. I'm looking forward to seeing the city moved to the new location.

The renovation process is progressing really quickly! Excited for the next update.
It's looking awesome! Have you thought about a 'sunrise-sky' for the Wild West? Would fit realy good I think and it's less blue
Genius idea! Lots of pinks and oranges and yellows!
Amazing, can't wait to watch you fill that space, your living my childhood dream!
Can’t wait to see the city at night. Congratulations on all your progress.
I would put moisture traps in the windows as well (assuming you’ll be able to access them and get them out on a c.monthly basis). This will capture any moisture and stop any potential build up.

He will :)
I’ve never been to Europe or anywhere close, but I guarantee once this is open I will make it a MISSION to come visit!
You should paint the walls of the Wild West moc to look like a sunset
Wanted to comment exactly the same! 🌄
It’d make a great compliment: the sunset shows a different time and the warmer yellows/oranges complement the cooler blues
I absolutely love it man! Well done!!!
the amount of skill this dude has, is insane... well done.
On the plywood window covers: Adding some sort of latch or pull handle on the blue side or fold down stand to the unpainted inside of the plywood panels might be helpful for propping them open for airflow without having to deal with positioning wooden blocks each time you need them to stay open.
You should consider doing a sunset sky for the background in the wild west area, a long with some towering Mesas in the distance.

I gotta tell ya man, the time and effort you put into painting those walls and clouds REALLY paid off. It looks frickin great. Seriously.
The clouds look amazing!

I'm so excited to see how this comes along! the final result is gonna be so amazing I just know it
Good luck on this endeavor
This is definitely gonna turn out AMAZING!

It’s already looking really beautiful and charming!! Good luck with everything you have planed!
You are an Artist, That is Wonderful the Background with the clouds....Congratulations!!
What an incredibly ambitious project! So amazing, love your work.

Awesome progress 👍
the amount of work for those clouds is BONKERS! Amazing work!
What an amazing project! It is looking awesome! Thanks for sharing the process of preparing and setting up the museum.
I am so friicking impressed. I'm looking forward to seeing your way to the finished museum!
Great!

Nice
love seeing the progress. and i think the clouds look amazing! i loved the ones at the current place as well

You have so many talents.
I absolutelyy love the clouds you made! They look incredible
Dude the clouds look so good, actual masterpiece
This is amazing. I've always been impressed by your expert building skills, but your also an insanely talented painter as well.

Wow, so much progress, it's going to look amazing!
For the window hinge gap, tape a strip of black vinyl over the seam on the window side. You could also glue a strip of wood.
I'd use heavy fabric
I have been following your city updates for a while, it looks amazing and congrats on the space.
It looking great keep up
Wow....just....wow! That already looks amazing, great job on painting the walls with the blue and clouds, looks awesome. Would for sure love to come visit the museum when its all done.
For the gaps in the planks, just put a bit of a flap or tape on the window side of the wood that covers the gap. Simple and effective.
This is so cool to watch! Would love to go out there one day when it's ready

wow.....the cloud you painted on the wall is so great! You have the talent not only on Lego, also on painting :)
This is a breathtaking experience
This is so awesome. Once your museum is opened I'll surely visit and promote it to all people I know that are as much LEGO fan as I am ;-)
Amazing Progress already!
Really cool that you made these clouds with wall paint
i am so happy for you guys! it’s always a pleasure to see a great youtuber expand into other ventures and continue to grow with their creativity. i wish you all the best, and would love to visit this museum if i can ever escape burgerland
Looking good! Make sure you secure all those shelving units. You don't want a kid climbing on them, knocking them over, and getting hurt.
I've always dreamed of having a museum just like this. I love this series!! You inspire me to build a lego city!
I am from Canada and would love to come visit the museum once it is done. Maybe I can convince my parents to take a Europe trip.
This was amazing to watch! I can't wait to see the lego city start to move into the new room. Hyped for the whole process!
I will visit your museum for sure !! great job !
This is fantastic! A Lego Museum is a great idea

Nice Video. Im so hyped for the Museum
the day and night cycle sounds so cool simulating night or sunset!
It's going to be amazing! Hugs from Brazil!
Can't wait to have my city up again! this is so inspiring
Adding this to my list of places to visit
Master of clouds!! Great job!
Lift the wood panels all the way up and put the black foil on the seam. Then when it closed the foil will block the light from coming in thru the crack.
This looks amazing! I can't wait for it to be complete. It will look amazing!
SO COOoooooL! excited to see this progress!
This is so damn cool, I wish you the best of luck with this project!
Your painting skills are amazing :)
Omg i CANT wait for all the updates!
Love watching your videos.
Enjoying this very much. Wish the best for you and hope I can visit one day.
Wow can't believe you've come this far! I will sure visit the museum someday when it is open!
Wow, this is so interesting! I love to see a look into what building a Lego museum is like!
I can’t wait to see the museum completed! You are also really good at painting/drawing too btw.
My art teacher would be so triggered after seeing the brushes that way
This is awesome can't wait to have a house to have a room like this again!!!
