Snacks? My reward for my players for showing up is that I run a game for them! They should bring ME snacks!

As a player I agree with this. GM does a lot of work preparing the game. The least the players can do is supply the snacks!

I know this is supposed to be a little slapsticky but I just stumbled upon this and it's actually helpful. I will definitely use this for upcoming sessions

One of my strategies as a player is: Whenever I'm in a situation where it's unclear what to do, I examine my character sheet. Sometimes looking at the sheet makes a skill or item or whatever stand out to help solve the problem. That's why a good character sheet is essential for any game.

Have you considered making a physical designer diary for sale?

That would be easy enough to do, but I still have a lot of blank pages left.

i run online campaigns and have for about a decade
in general, in my experience, satisfying sessions are from 3-7 hours length, though 6-7 hours is on the exhausting end
2 hours or less is simply not enough time to run a game
this is taking into account friendly chatter, jokes and bathroom breaks, and occasional (once every other session really at most) ~30 minute breaks
3 hours is a minimum to actually get a good game from everything i've seen, even online
