I usually HATE when new artists mess with classics cause it ruins the essence of the perfected song....but I must say this one was an exception for me....I absolutely love it...it doesn't take away from the original at all...it just carries it over into this time ...which is soooo needed. I think Earth Wind and Fire made a wise and creative move with this one.

Sorry you missed it but this was THE band. They taught everyone how it's done. Their stage shows were incredible too. It's sad this generation is being fed garbage by the recording industry. Lucky is one of the few good ones that gives us all hope.

Besides our R&B is just about diminished, hanging by a thread on life support with today's generation. There is no LOVE in the music today. The industry has literally tried to turn all of R&B artists into Mummble rappers with sound machines..and give it away to everdody else.

I guess I'm one of the few that just can't get into Lucky's voice not jiving like Maurice's. It's an awesome sound no matter what, but I Love me some old EW&F to the depths of my soul. It wasn't just the music, it was the spirit of crossing every line in the sand. It was a free spirit movement of epic proportions and when you listen to EW&F, how can your heart not just melt.
Yeah , it is a new kind of mix. Yet, our Maurice is still the bomb. That's why they kept Maurice's, legendary, voice in this version. I knew Phil, Verdine and the others would acknowledge him.😊

Lucky is his own artist. If they wanted someone to sound like Maurice they would have done that, but obviously wanted a newer sound and I think he was perfect for this. Even Babyface who produced this track approved of Lucky. Let’s just let individuals be individuals . You can appreciate his artistry and the fact that he did a great job.. and still honor the legacy of Maurice White without comparing the two. And personally I think Maurice would vibe to this record.
