      Do you have some study magerial for japanese animation?

    • @HiHi-oc3gh
      @HiHi-oc3gh 14 дней назад +3

      @@RedRamekRaze7first learn how to animate in general. Both western and eastern animation work with the same principles (search for the 12 principles of animation). I recommend getting “animator's survival kit” and “the illusion of life” as they are basically the animator’s bibles. Once you’re comfortable animating, you can study what makes anime pleasing to you.
      It’s the same way as learning drawing, learn the fundamentals, perspective, 3d shapes/primitives, anatomy, etc. and then study the artists that you like to be able to draw like them

    This video was great but you mentioned the model sheet and the importance of staying on model so much I feel like they deserve their own videos. Ie what makes/ how to make a good model sheet, and a more in-depth look on staying on model and matching proportions etc, and when it’s okay to break those rules.

      @@ArchOfficial I agree. Besides, XP-Pen is enough for genga work without wacom. I don't care about color or anything else.

      @ArchOfficial 19 дней назад

      @@kaldsam5142 I use a Huion Kamvas 16 (2021) and I don't feel like the hardware is the limiting factor for lines or color.
      The only advice I have is don't get one that's too small, or if you don't have a workspace for it, too big. 16in is ok.

    @Dong Chang would the studio mind if I did any of this on paper, scanned it and then binarized the lines or something like that (like with the trace tool in GTS or something like that)?

    • @HiHi-oc3gh

      Many animators still do genga on paper (all of the examples he shows in the beginning are on paper). It’s probably better if you just scan it instead of using software to make it look digital.

    does keeping the volum of the pen really matter ?
    beacuse all that will be gone or the line will lose it quality during the clean up stage anyways
    so whats the point of not just race from the get go ?
