@@ShawnF6FHellcat yeah, cos currently there's not really any way to get rid of them, unless you pick them up and deal with them later - would be cool to see them do something about that
i really like the fact that in the grow lab has those weird chemical flowers that have the same crazy look of the yellow bot (the one that slows down you) i really wish those flowers were useful!
I actually like it that they don't say a release date as developers themselves are unsure and not risking themselves to overwork and release an unfinished chapter update. I know many games that made a release date and failed to promise what we are told to be in said game *"cough cough"* Fallout 76 and No man's sky although they did redeem themselves in the end and got the game awards
I think the thing that I want the most out of anything they could give us, is an actually robust and functional multiplayer support. I love all this new stuff they are adding, but I really wish I could do it with my friends on a joint world, rather than my friends coming into my world or me into theirs.
When the next update for this game fully comes out you should do a co-op survival but with 2 of you’re friends like Kahn and moonboo all three of you guys in one world is crazy to think about
Yeah, with that fast red bot and the jumping yellow bot we really need something other than potatoes. I couldn’t even imagine trying to shoot something like those with a spud gun 😂
Ngl though i think it would be cool too if they kind of forced you to use the game's main premise: a building system with barely any limitations. That would be a too risky move though since that can ruin the game for some less engineering-enthusiastic people
Well besides the fact that your talking about weapons i came up with a farm defense against the yellow totebots, so basically if you care enough to read this, if you have a short wall with a short ceiling then it can only break 3 blocks high below it. But you have to connect the wall 4 blocks high to something behind it or something like that, that makes it so its unable to break and fall
Change that “probably” to a “maybe”. Programming is sometimes less predictable than a random number generator. I’ve just recently gotten a great example for it: I’m currently making an app (it’s just for use in my school, nothing big or important), and I had the current time and date all set with no issues. I changed the size of a different container in a different window, and the in-app clock was one minute early compared to the device time, even though it’s based the device time.
These things will be tough to counter if they are able to participate in a raid the blue tote bot can out flank your base if not protected, the red ones can not only deal massive damage but also blast a hole in your defenses, and the yellow one can not only scale tall structures but also eat them way when they land.
@@branndonkimble4581 if they end up adding a flying bot (perhaps walking bots that have rocket boots to scale walls or just a new flying bot design altogether) I guess no base is safe, and honestly I think flying bots would be the next logical step. We already have land, sea, and cave bots, the sky is all that's left.
The underground labs are really pretty, but I think I'm most excited for the added bot variety and craft bot progression mechanic. One of survival modes biggest problems has always been how flat its progression is and how quickly the difficulty just stops, so there's nothing pushing you to explore, build, or generally improve. Having new types of bots, espesially the bombers and the thumpers, will force players to build more creative and diverse defenses, becaues a simple smash plate will no longer trivialize every bot but the red ones.
I'm mostly looking forward to the whole underground area. It will be amazing to explore. My favorite bots are the Green Tapebots, just because they seem like they'll be easy to deal with. And my least favorite are the Red Totebots, for the same reason; Their speed and explosive power.
Totally agree that some of these new bots need tweeks to their speed. With the addition of Stompy and Froggie there is no reason at all to ever build a base on land. Looking at Kan and Kosmo's treehouse base for inspiration.
Those Boom-Bots will be the scariest thing in the game. Especially for when you’re earlygame and don’t have many component kits. And camping on an island won’t work either anymore (at least not as good). Good update though
My goodness, they're really punishing us for asking for more content, are they? 😬 Also could you, Kan, Moonbo and Kosmo mb make a survival series together when this drops? I know, I know, could be hard to get all together for this. And I hate that you need a host to play together. mb you could set up a cloud bot for that or something idk
Honestly, I would like some kind of vehecular bot combat, so the gardens are super hype, presuming its easier to force a creation in there than the warehouses
4:37 it would be cool if they could sneak upon you if you are looking away from them and exploding faster than normal when you finally notice them ( this could be a toggle, for players who think this is unfair ).
i was so happy that when i came home from school i knew that a survival episode was waiting for me, but ever since he ended it it was not been the same
They've really been working on this for a while. They have a lot they want to improve and I'm excited to see what's happening. I hope this is worth it, I'll certainly get the game and try it!
Maybe do this in chapter 2, whenever it comes out? Just saying... Day 106 of asking for a Multiplayer Monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot in the mechanic station. Everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, gathering their own materials. No glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races. It's quite simple, really
The parts in the plant warehouse look perfect for stealth stuff, just the lighting and way things are laid out so I wonder if that'll be more of a important thing in chapter 2 warehouse/underground stuff.
Well that explains the additional totebot heads you have access to in creative and the sounds they make. Yellow smashes so it has percussion Blue swims so it makes the deep bass sounds. Red explodes so it sounds like an alarm. 9:57 My brother in scrap, that is the Ore Crusher. 10:10 The prospector do have tanks on them, and the tanks are tinted blue.

The green tote bots have eletric whips, they don't hit with their legs. They're actually whipping you like a woc. It's not an antenna it's an eletric whip or more of a cattle prod.
My favorite bot from this devlog is the paint bots because it might give you more paint things when you defeat them so its easier to paint stuff without needing to go to the paint flowers and my least favorite has got to be the swim bot since its just overpowered with the fact that its better on land than you
4:12 those are creepers with speed 10. Change my mind Btw, I would name the “green tape bots” “wrap bots”, the yellow ones are perfect with you “paint bot” idea.
I'm most excited for the blue totebot since it's the first actual water bot, my least favorite bot is probably the red totebot since I feel like so many people are going to lose a bunch of stuff to them, I'm so used to creepers in Minecraft that I can deal with those kinds of enemies prty easily
I think with them moving towards these bots and a bit of combat, then NEED to add some sort of armor system. The player has a few options on weapons already, but make it so there is 3 stats, speed, armor amount, and armor regen. Each stats goes 0-10, and the costumes each have some stats already on them. The player can upgrade a costume for component kits, 1 kit being 1 stat. You can upgrade it 10 times, so you cant ever fully max a costume, making their original stats have some value. If they want to go deeper, maybe each costume can have a bonus effect, such as 10% chance to get extra wood, 10% faster health regen, 10% chance to not use a potato on a shot, they can go crazy with these. It would make the combat much more personalized, allow the player to upgrade for the harder bots, and allow the dressbot/costume system to have even deeper meaning.
Redoing the Nomad style could help you explore the 2nd chapter's changes to the world while also avoiding raids.
